My number one is probably "New file here" - when I'm in Finder, I open Raycast and can create any kind of file in the open directory, I can even create template files. And the second one I can't almost live without is one for 2FA codes - since I don't use Safari, I can't have SMS codes automatically pasted, so the extension saves me from having to re-write SMS codes every day 😄
The "HowLongToBeat" workflow being an "Actually Useful Raycast extension" is stretching it. It's super niche and you can just go to the website. This feels like the era where every company thought they had to have a native app instead of just a good website.
Quick question. Why do you use Rectangle (that's what it looks like seeing that you have it downloaded) instead of Raycast's window snapping tools? I used to be a Rectangle user before I knew Raycast existed, but I switched immediately after I found out that Raycast offers the same functionality.
LOL makes a video about Raycast usefulness and then installs 2 versions of Rectangle Windows Managers - when window management (even with preset Rectangle key combos) is builtin directly into Raycast! (there’s a “useful” tip)
Sorry, but this video's content quality is waaay below the other stuff you've produced imho. It's a listicle. The suggestions are trivial (changing wallpapers, howlongtobeat, confetti, really?). I think you can do a lot better subject-wise. The rest is really good: visuals, audio, presentation.
Imagine making a video titled “actually useful Raycast extensions” and then starting the list with a completely useless wallpaper extension before finishing up with a completely useless confetti extension. Such clickbait garbage 🙄
