SPOILER ALERT! Stop reading if you haven’t watched the video yet. I assembled the spool candle stand in the reverse order-the smallest rung should have been on the bottom and the largest on top, so it would have folded up flat.
I stopped the video and went back to look at the side-by-side shot. It took about 5 seconds, & I got it. 😉 But who cares? "Not I", said the nice Canadian lady. 🤣🤣😍
Under your skillful tutelage we can all have high-end looking home decor without breaking the bank…..and we won’t have to darken the door of Pottery Barn ever again. Thank you, Shari!!
I am so grateful for you. I love that you can look at something and make it fix my budget. I love all of these projects. Thank you for sharing these savings on to us. I'll be looking for your next video!
I simply loved how you didn’t just copy the inspiration pieces exactly but instead allowed yourself the freedom to tailor each one to both your taste/style and available resources. You really illustrated the fact that you are using the inspiration pieces to INSPIRE your own creativity rather than copying someone else’s while still creating something that could well have come from the same high end stores. ❤
I have to say Sherry that I prefer your dupes to any of the expensive ones. Great job! My favorite it the strawberry door frame...it just makes me smile. Thanks for sharing, God bless.
Great ideas as always! Tip; if you want to make the wood ring chain, you can connect one sawed open ring between two still closed rings. This wat you only need to saw and glue half of the rings, saves time and glue!
I definitely liked the eucalyptus leaves left green Sherry. Much prettier than the item you were duping. And I thought the vase with the leaves glued on was fantastic! I thought you would use a clay mould to dupe this item, but this idea worked so well.
Oh, thank you, Cheryl! I feel like I haven’t seen you for awhile. I thought maybe you had tired of my videos-you have been watching them from the start. I’m so glad you’re still here!
You are so down to earth and sweet, that's why I enjoy watching your videos! And, obviously, incredibly talented. So, shame on Pottery Barn and their poor customer service. Your dupes were so YOU, and that's what our home decor should reflect for each one of us! 😊
Good morning Sherry, I truly enjoyed this video, the inspiration piece was probably my favorite from your video ( just a little more than the other DIY’s) please do more videos like this , God bless you ❤❤❤❤❤
i have never been in a pottery barn as thrift store modern is what i can afford and what i am attracted to. they made a mistake snubbing you, Sherry, as you can teach them a thing or two about beautiful home decorating!
I did go into the store just for inspiration, so if they assumed I wasn’t going to buy anything, they were right! Still, I just think it is so impolite when store clerks don’t even say hello.
The shell chain is AWESOME. My grandkids love to use the drill, maybe I can channel that interest and then I wouldn't have to invest so much time into drilling. We could make two one for me and one for their mama. Mother's day present. Yay
I love your dupe of the shell rope better because yours have the color and size difference. Yours has more character and it’s beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Oh my goodness, those mushrooms and the flower vase. those were beautiful best dupes ever even better than the originals. Thank you so much for the inspiration. God bless.
I am packing up to move. Today I reluctantly decided to donate some faux ferns. After watching your take on the vase, I dug them out and put them in the keep bin, LOL!
WOW WOW WOW All of these came out fantastic. the little shelf, vase and botanical frame were my favorites! I love your high-end dupes they really come out fantastic and your clever redesign is always impressive - have a Great week!
Oh, thank you, Annie! So many of the high-end stores carry mostly modern decor, so it is not easy finding items that I like (and would put in my home) to dupe!
Love the Kirklands dupe the Eucalyptus you picked was really a beautiful bunch & the Natural look is so much prettier than the silver one & brings in the natural elements of the outdoors. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! NT
As a mini lover, I liked the little shelf unit made of the Dollar Tree boxes. I think it was ingenious. I loved how you copied expensive items so cheaply!
Sherry, you knocked it out of the park on all of these projects. I understand why you want to keep the case, it's amazing. I cant decide which is my favorite. Love them all. You had a busy week. Going to see what is left in your store. Have a great week.
Shari, am amazed by your creativity! Loved the strawberry door, the vase and the eucalyptus frame. Your inspirational take on the originals was genius. Thank you? 🤗
Thank you, Helene! I worked in a pricey small department store when I was in college, and I was taught to always greet every customer-just common courtesy.
I'm all about sea shells. I have used them in all kinds of art and crafts since the 70's. So, my favorite rope is the shell rope, though I don't plan on drilling hundreds of them to make one of my own.
Sherri, it truly is hard to pick just one of your projects, lol I love that you left the eucalyptus green, I'm more into the natural beauty. Couldn't figure out your mistake on the candle sticks. Loved the little red chippy door. You are truly talented ❤
Well Sherry, you never fail to surprise and delight. All of your creations are amazing; as usual, I think I really liked the Eucalyptus for myself, so unusual, but simple.
I absolutely loved the eucalyptus frame! I would not spray it silver as the natural color is just exquisite! Additionally, the vase was another favorite! Thank you for sharing your incredible talent! ❤😊🤗🙏🤗
I like the sconce and the shell garland/tassel the best. I like them better than the originals. All of the dupes were very well done. Once again, your vision amazes me!
Oh Sherrie! I adore your mushrooms, leaf vase, and the red wood piece with the transfer! The shell chain is pretty, but I think I prefer the rafia chain! All of these DIYS today are great, good job friend!!
In the mid 90s I fell in love with an HGTV show called “Kitty Bartholomew, You’re Home” It came on at 3:00 I think and I absolutely made it a point to be home everyday to see it. It’s still one of favorites. Finding your channel has given me the same anticipation! I can’t wait to see what you’re going to come up with every time. You are a crafting genius! I’m still catching up on older episodes and enjoy the creativity of each project. I learn something on every episode. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. ❤❤❤
Oh, Trudy, you are such a sweetheart! I loved that show, too! In fact, I still have her book. Her style had so much personality! I miss good HGTV shows like that one.
Oh my goodness, another genius set of crafts even better than the high end originals! The prices of the originals were shocking. Even if I could afford to buy things for top dollar, I wouldn't. The retail markup is appalling. Your work is beautiful and inspiring.
You never cease to amaze me with your creativity! I'm just blown away! I think the reason we won't pay those big store prices because we know how to craft it. I think that's why we see so many of those pieces in thrift stores and Goodwills. They can afford it. I say lucky us so we can buy it at a much lower price. Lol Love your projects! ❤️❤️❤️
Donna, you are right. Sometimes, when I am shopping with my sister-in-law, she will consider buying things that are so easy to DIY. I have to stop her, and tell her that we can make that for a dollar or two!
The vase with the leaf designs was my favorite but I second guess while I type it out!😂 These were all, once again, simply AMAZING. Your creativity so inspires me!
I think these dupes are much nicer than the expensive one. Cherie, you are such an inspiration and thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent with us. Your dupes have been made from the heart and I think it makes them more special, so no the expensive ones are not nicer than yours at all. Yours are definitely the best ❤x
Goodness! You really outdid yourself this time. I really couldn't pick a favourite, they all turned out brilliantly! You continue to inspire, as ever 😁
Let me first say that I couldn't do what you do in a million years. I don't have the vision, although I could try and copy - but more importantly, I don't have the patience! My favorite was the little drawer piece you put together with the Dollar Tree drawers - they would be so handy to go just about anywhere to hold various things, on a wall in a bathroom, in a closet, on a kitchen countertop, to show up special pieces on a wall, etc.
