Just wore my 80’s button earrings yesterday!!!! They were my grandmother’s pink enamel Channel! I was around in the 80’s to see them on all the ladies i admired, but not quite old enough to wear them myself. I wear them as a nod to my grandma, but had no idea they were “in” right now!
I love how chill you are towards this trends, cause at the end of the day we all need a littel fun while dressing up. It's never that serious. And I will be rocking the bag charms this year, letting my inner child have some fun 😊
Another great video from my no.1 influencer ❤️ I just love it when you post a video Alex 74yrs old but I love your trends and learn so much from you.❤️
I remember when I was a kid going to Gap and they sold those bracelets with a bunch of charms you could pick out. Wish I never got rid of mine, does anyone else remember haha
Hello dear 🥰 I always love autumn fashion. It’s so cozy. I’m still in love with the gray sweater and burgundy shoes from your last fall fashion vlog. Looking forward to embracing the suede and brown trends. Also the pops of burgundy 😊
I was looking sooo much forward to your video.....since i watch your videos i always wait before i go out shopping. I am so inspired especially when you put on the clothes that you are presenting. By the way you are the only one i watch refering clothing.😊👌
So lovely and so down to esrth. Thank you Alex for all your explanations. Am a fashion lover and addict and since I follow your vlogs my fashions trends get more sharp and accurate! 💜🌹
Love this, I live in Atlanta, Georgia USA, and even though it is still hot we think of purchases now for fall and are looking for our fall now and only summer as on sale purchases, mostly picked over. You are always a joy to listen to, watch and love.
I bought a couple pair of the barrel jeans in 2023 and have given them away. I decided I didn't like adding 10 lbs. to my bottom and legs. Also the fuzzy slippers are an absolute no except for wearing at home. Love belts to make an outfit look finished.😍
Hi beautiful Alex. I’m afraid there’ll be a lot of these trends parked in the corner for me 😂 I’m fat enough without wearing balloon trousers, oversized coats and furry shoes ha ha ha. Furry shoes for me, are slippers! 😂😂😂😂❤xx
I actually have two pairs of barrel jeans. I wear them with an oversized boyfriend blazer and trainers. You need a slim fitted top, as not to look too 'baggy' but it's a definite look! Another great video!
I found the cutest bottega suede boots but they are too small so I’ll sell them and hopefully find some that fit. Suede looks good with everything. I imagine wearing it with a pretty satin bow, blue jeans and scrunched socks and loafers or any shoe! Messy bun with a gold metal bow detail. I am so ready for fall fashion! I love the seige green color on you! Can’t wait to see your fall /winter looks 😍 You look great in riding boots and blazers.
Don’t hesitate to do a part 3 😅 we don’t mind ☺️ So, I looove the charms on the bags, I already added a scarf around the handle of mine, and now that it’s trendy, I might add some pendants as well , I’ll add everything I own basically 😆😅 I love having fun with accessories 😉 I will however stay away from barrel jeans 😬 why make my bottom half look even bigger 😱😆🙈 I love suede, specially for bags though, I know it is perhaps not very practical but it’s so soft and autumnal 🥰😍 Love tweed, checks etc. eagerly awaiting for checked skirts!! Adding a tan belt and a blue shirt will look great for an outfit!
Funny you should bring up suede. Was eyeing my husband's jacket thinking I'd like something like that. Should I hang onto my UGG shearling & suede calf length boots? Still on suede have just got a fab hat for winter. Nearly bought a tweed coat for the season but opted for a classic camel coloured one. A little big but it looks like that is in vogue. Will look out for gold button earrings. Love the pendants and we have plenty! Great job Alexx and looking forward to your next Vlog.
Love it! Live all the jewellery and the coziness, I will NOT be partaking in barrel jeans or babydoll skirts/dresses either…. Just not my style and don’t suit my shape….
I have actually but I just cannot manage that workload at the minute! Also the busiest time of year for me with competing my horse so it’s too much whereas at vlogmas time she is on her winter break so the pressure is off 🥰
Bag charms give me that cluttered "refrigerator magnet" vibe. But I do like a scarf tied to a bag handle . I love barrel legs, especially when I can pinan ankle pleat into my existing wide leg jeans or add insert elastic into the hem of my drapey palazzo pants. Impractical statement shoes go in totes for the commute. That's why the big tote bags are such a big trend. BTW, you'll also find blazers in those totes because our overcoat sleeves are too skinny to fit a wool tweed blazer sleeve over and shirt. Capes are hard to wear while driving. But I look forward to wearing my 1970 fake fur cape over a chunky sweater. Nice video; very articulate discussion.
What about the more mature lady with a more mature figure? The oversized over the top trends can make you look even bigger. . . Absolutely love the leopard / faux fur / suede trends but don't want to look like Betty Lynch of Coronation Street! Love your outfits btw - if I could only look a fraction like that! Love your videos :)
Some of the bag charms in this video look a bit trashy. Here's how I made mine: I bought different size round key rings from amazon to coil around bag straps. From them I hung a couple of Peter Rabbit 50p coins, that my jeweller made a hole in. I also had lots of silver charm from old jewellery that's a bit too heavy/busy for me to wear at my age (58 years young), it just gets in the way and even hurt my neck. So I've taken the charms, some of them quite pricey designer silver ones, and hung them from the key rings too. I've decorated several bags and even (denim) totes in this way. I also have a couple of enamel pussycat badges (to remind me of my gorgeous Meow) and museum art brooches that I pinned to my bags, I don't overdo it like in some of the photos, less is more, but the bags now look gorgeous, expensive and original and it's a pleasure to just go to Lidl with my personalised totes!
I'm thinking Raye in the Regardless video with the blue earrings and Jennifer Lopez wearing the lux outerwear trend in her previous videos. Can we have another shoe trend please? or and Autumn/winter shoe and boots ideas?
Like to see belts being featured! They really finish an outfit. Hate hate hate the barrel jean trend-who wants to look bow-legged? 😅 Not crazy about button earrings-they look costumy and cheap, certainly not sophisticated.
