It’s actually good to use Fives special when GAS is about to stand. The reason why is because Fives will keep his taunt even when Gas stands up and sometimes the AI hits him instead of Gas. But this is the only scenario you should use this move.
This. Fives taunt is actually good if you want to 3star something like conquest, proving grounds, etc.. If you don't taunt with fives, you will hit the sacrifice for sure then you won't be able to 3 star.
I’ve been playing the game for almost 8 years now and it amazes me how you can still learn new things. I had no clue how to use CLS with the current comp. I’ll be using the basic a lot more now. With Grievous, I like to use his stun against JKA when going against oQGJ teams. It’s also why I like to have the zeta that gives IG-100 the stun on his special. Depending on the turn order, having JKA stunned with killing QGJ can mean the difference between losing 3-4 banners or just straight up losing. Great video!
I knew about most of these but I’ve never actually thought about MT lead counting as a revive to stack daka’s max health and stuff. That’s super useful to think about
I think in PvE, lots of times when you are dealing with multiple phases/waves/stages, TB & Assault Battles, basics are very important towards the end of a wave so that you can continue building cooldowns to have the specials available for the next/harder wave
Thank god for mentioning the importance of CLS basic, most of the time I only basic, also I almost never use Call to Action unless I need the heal Kudos on you for actually knowing how to use CLS
With the ns, if only one sister is defeated, you should only basic every other turn. They can’t be revived each turn. But with multiple ns down, basic all the way
I’m in Kyber 2 and didn’t know half of those, but have seen others doing some of those. I always wondered why. Now I know and knowing is half the battle. 😉
@@CalvinAwesome yeah to be fair his full team turn meter boost is a very potent mechanic. I find I usually do get to use it a second time in the battle because it's over before its cooldown expires.
the only time i ever use KRu's second special is when I need to clean up a solo malak. you just halt and focused rage while he's stunned until he's dead. its a pretty funny cleanup
If I can, especially in 3v3 I like to have three first order teams where I use hux and both tie pilots, slkr solo, and kru with executioner and baby kylo. It just depends on my opponents defense, but I can usually get at least 3 teams in 3v3 and if I’m lucky 3 in 5v5.
@@brillcouncil4584 I can’t wait to get malicos, unfortunately I’ll have to wait for proving grounds and it’ll probably take about a year to get the rest of the shards.
I have a couple ship based basics that are key: KRU's Silencer you want to use his basic to stun and wait for damage to ramp before popping his big hit Similarly, The Finalizer itself - after using Hunted on the first turn always use it's basic to call Silencer. There is almost no reason to ever use Finalizer's Quell or Ravage abilities.
On the zorii tream. I almost always use zorii basic over the second special bc it also dispels (if stealthed) and can expose (with ten up). Rose also needs to keep ten up as a priority over her specials. Resistance troopee same thing - though not always on the team. A lot of times on the team you more want a chance for expose than what the special does. SEE often has the opportunity to use the heal prot ability early on before you would gain much from it, and it's more of a priority to get deceived applied from basic. Against malgus, a lot of characters like starkiller (or the rest of his team including mj) or hondo want to spam basic so as to not heal the enemy (hondo needs to use his specials at some point still though bc he gets massive dmg boost for several turns with special 1). Jabba a lot of times wants to basic to build ult over his specials. Dash as lead gets more from basic by hitting harder and calling assists over using special 1 unless you need the dispel/stun. BT1 likes basics over either special when there is 1 enemy you NEED to kill but otherwise i use special 1 as much as possible.
Hera's basic is much better than just spamming her special when it's up. I save the special for when I need a cleanse and use the basic for that expose.
Dark Trooper's specials are also situational. I don't think you're ever really gonna use the AoE, and most times you'll want to do the basic for high damage, and use the second special only if you're about to lose your tm train, and it's unlikely you'll land a kill until the next enemy takes a turn.
I use krus second special and EPs second special sometimes. Both are situational for sure, buy they both have similar uses. Theyre for self preservation. If my EP is close to death and im attacking something with counter potential, use the second special, top him off, damage the whole enemy team, and dont get countered. Similarly with kru, if hes about to die and gets a turn, you can refill a good chunk of his health if you drop the taunt for a turn and use his special, then get the taunt back up. Its definitely not the best ability ever, but it has its uses. Id rather keep him standing a few extra turns in most cases than keep the taunt and have him die immediately
Good analysis. Good face. Beautiful eyes. What's not to like? Edit: Apologies. But still, the info is definitively good. Particularly how to use KRU for me.
.just my opinion. maybe consider only [1] normal/marquee toons' standalone basic abilities and [2] no. of utilities mixed on the basic. some on the list are quite above because of the status "legendary+" and for a reason, and some only works when a synergy is achieved. i'd say Mara Jade basic should be one on the top for this for example. :)
CLS’s second is help to get around taunts too. I can either beat or cripple a Star Killer team with CLS because I can usually kill Mara or Palps because I get around the taunt with the second ability
@@CalvinAwesome I need to work on my modding, but CLS goes before Chew-PO. So I hit the special and can ignore taunt and target MJ again and she is usually dead
@@CalvinAwesomeTo be fair, there are multiple teams where a taunt keeps coming back. I'm thinking against L3, Wrecker, Krrsantan etc It's a niche use-case, but it does exist alright.
@@CalvinAwesome yeah, that’s why I like CLS’s special. Once the stance change comes I can ignore taunt with him and gives me a second round of attacks on who I wish
Clear example of this is Ayla Secura - her special is garbage compared to calling assist on basic. Another that comes to mind is Skiff Lando - basic is always prefferable to first special if he does not have 5 stacks of Deep Cover.
the only real reason to ever relic talzin or zombie is if u intend on running a datacron w the team. otherwise, the team functions perfectly fine throughout pretty much every stage of the game with them at even lower gear levels
@CalvinAwesome I see, thanks for the insight. I've just started gearing them recently cuz I want to max out assault battles. I'm assuming it's possible to 3 star the final stage even when they aren't reliced?
They're actually not good, a big portion of that 118 comes from the fact that the speed sets percent is high because of his base speed. For comparison an chieftain with good speed mods can have 185 from mods
