I have a Myer Lemon also. It always blooms in the winter while I have it inside so I have to hand pollinate it, but it makes the house smell amazing! Pro tip, if you plan on growing a tree in a pot that you have to move around, make sure you don't do what I did and use a huge heavy pot.

Same just picked my 1 lemon from my tiny Meyer lemon tree my large lemon green in the greenhouse is just starting to put on some blooms. That one booms in summer and again in mid winter

I love that about my Meyer lemon too - the smell and the basically year-round blooms. I have definitely made the heavy pot mistake before! Now all my pots are either lightweight or on wheels (or both).

Very good video. I will be honest I approached the video with a bit of cynicism, there are a lot of youtube experts that don't know what they are talking about. But this us very well done and I applaud your knowledge. The only suggestion us to change you fertilizer advice, while it may be perfect for deciduous trees in your area it is not universal for all fruit trees. For instance if I fertilized my mangos in early spring they would drop all of their fruit. I think better advice would be to tell people to research the best fertilizing routine for their trees in their climate and stick to that. But please don't let my one critique get in the way of what I think is an excellent and informative video.

Thanks - I really appreciate the encouragement (and the suggestion!). I hear you - my fertilizing advice was very generalized in the video and I probably could have worded it more clearly, because I totally agree with you. It's completely specific to the climate, soil, tree, etc. Thanks for the critique, and especially thanks for the gracious tone of your comments! It's one of the scary things about getting into RU-vid, but your comment is exactly the type of gardening conversation I love to have.

That's great! I think you're just a bit warmer than where I am...I'd probably have to grow all of those in containers (except the blueberries)
