Thank you so much! It also took me more than 6 months in order to figure that out. I think the best thing is to keep creating no matter what, maybe 3-4 artworks a week and overtime it will become a routine
As well as being to increase the size of a previously downsized Smart Object, they also work like Autocad Blocks. I did a project yesterday which had a 3 x 7 array of Roman soldiers all arranged and sized to perspective. I then had an idea that would make them work better, and it was so nice to edit the original and see them all update. Despite using SOs for years, I was still not sure that the edit would work with sizing and perspective, so I was super pleased the hit Ctrl s and see a perfect update. Nest SOs can be super useful as well, if sometimes leading to confusion.
Great tips, thank you! I've made every single one of those mistakes, & sadly still do make too many of them. This is a great reminder that I'm not alone!
Re harsh highlights, I was waiting for you to say don't make composited element's outlines too sharp. Few things make a composite look like a composite that ultra sharp outlines. You can ctrl click to load as a selection, convert to clipping path, and stroke the path with the blur tool. You can Ctrl click to load the selection, add a layer mask, use mask properties to move the mask into the object a couple of pixels, and then feather the mask. I like to stroke an outline with a thin highlight using Centre so half the stroke overflows the object. Then blur the stroke and mask the overflow. You can then feather the mask to soften the outline. You can do the same thing with shadows of course.

1-9 obvious😅 Nr 10, thank you! Agree, doing my weekly art, both here on my channel and for Ig/Deviant art, your 11 mistake pointer is, forgetting to seek feedback from multiple ppl, sources, both artists and none artists, it makes you see points in your final art you didnt even think of! Anyway great vid thank you!
Bro your editing skill is very very good 👍 plus sound as per animation is perfect.❤ can you tell me from where you get those sound effects and Royalty free footage used in your videos. Please 🙏🥺
Regards the inspiration, I think that the idea is 80% or even more or what makes a composite. I can usually realise what comes into my head, but if your ideas are shite, then there is no hope. I sometimes throw a bunch of words at a thesaurus and incorporate the variations into a Google search when trying to trigger an idea, but there are definitely times when nothing comes to me, and others when they come in floods. If an idea makes me smile or laugh, I HAVE to make the image. Other times I might spend hours on a project, and decide not to share it.
we need tips like the smart object tip, that was probably the only most helpful thing in this video, learn how to help people. Half of this video isn’t even what people struggle with on photoshop. bruh
