THERE IS NO WAY TO PLAY THIS GAME. i promise you, if you simply get the basics down and then just go with the flow of dayz from the moment you spawn, you will have more fun then 75% of the sweats on this game and most importantly you will learn.

@@AlwaysStreams play solo on official or hardcore servers and push geared players. the game is what you always wanted it to be then. watch gorilla tactic videos first to get an idea of how you should be fighting groups of players and actually watch your surroundings you cant run willy nilly through the mili and expect aa good outcome

@@AlwaysStreams🎉❤🎉. Ditto. Btw. Was watching a streamer coaching a newcomer and heard the classic myth that you (& WOBO) debunked ages ago. That fruit & mushrooms spoil over time and is a clue about other survivors nearby. All of it can spawn already rotten.

If your food level hits Red take a 1 sip of gasoline it will stop it from getting critical for 10mins ..its bug but it works.

"And if you get killed, laugh it off." One of the most important things to keep in mind, especially for me. And the crouch walking, too. I crouch to avoid zeds. If I want to avoid players, I'm either still and hidden, or moving as erratically as I can.

Chlorine tabs are good for long trips through the woods to high tier areas when you don’t want to be seen. Traveling at night allows you to move through open areas more safely especially on trips to hide tier areas. Official is great to play on. Crafting is the second best part of survival. PvP is first for me. I love the rush I get win or lose. High stakes unlike COD n other FPS.

here is a good beginner tipp. all you need to survive is something to cut with. with something to cut with you can skin a chicken which you can catch without any gear, which gives you bones for you to make new knifes and also fishing hooks. you can also cut clothes to rags which have multiple usages themself most important one beeing, the ability to be crafted into makeshift gloves so your hands dont get bloody when you skin that chicken. with a knife you also have everything you need for a fire now. just get 2 bark from a tree combine 1 with a small stick to create a firestarterkit and the second one you combine with a stick to make a fireplace. if you now sharpen a long stick with your knife you can place the fire ignite it and put your chicken on the longstick and cook it.

Great tips. I would like to add the #1 thing I share with new players I meet. Embrace the beginners mind set. DayZ is as much about new beginnings as it is about good runs. Being able to shrug off a mistake that ends a run and embracing a freshie start goes a long way, especially if you don't make it a long way. Which happens a lot as a new player. Cheers!

I learned to play on no zombie pve servers. It gave me a really good way to learn how to craft, build, hunt, repair things. I learned how to carry what I need and how to find what I need. Once I felt confident there, I bumped up to some zombies or servers that had them dpawn in specific places. That let me practice shooting at distances, etc. Now... I'm not galf bad, I'm not great but I can hold my own! Well, against zombies, wolves, and bears. I am terrible at PvP lol

Isn't that a ref to south parks, "How do you tame a horse in Minecraft?"? you punch trees. DON'T PUNTCH THINGS in DayZ, you'll start bleeding or destroy your gloves. I found this out the hard way personally and was none too happy about my discovery. I think it was a wall I punched in a panic fighting zeds; can't quite remember it's been a long time since it happened, but the result was less than preferable

I'm actually building two PVE servers. When asked why on occasion by the very people you were referring to, I tell them flat out. I'm trying to make it so that people can learn their skills. They need to survive on any server. More the point, without getting headshot because they have a particular rifle hanging off their pack... Or whatever the person wanted. I also take issue with doing all the leg work for someone else's benefit

tips for beginners on official stay around olsha and airport they have nbc clothing so after a while u can get yourself a nice akm and there a small military base in the woods they spawn convoys when u reach the tower of olsha go straight right path u will se a hunting stand and than a house in the woods go straight and than ur there I have stashed boxes in very good hiding spots like in the big bush under the tower my the military base or in a mountain

my first interactiob in first play - were some dude who tried to kill me near the sea shore right after my spawn in the close vilage. I realy were empty, fighting Z with my hands, this guy bring Z with him and started to fight, killed me and died from Z. I spawned nearby and got all his loot

When I’ve met new players on official, I tell them to take a break from official and go to PVP servers to learn to shoot and fight and PVE servers to learn the ins and outs of Chernarus, to learn to craft, plan and practice their loot routes, practice moving around zombies without alerting them, learning all the military areas, camps, towns, cities, all in peace without the fear of being killed. Official is hardcore DayZ, and I’ve learned it can be off putting to some people.

Rotten food gets you sick on every platform. There are ways to bypass it as I mentioned, but my main point was new players aren't going to be able to remedy it if they make a mistake =]

I disagree about clothing. I keep extra pair of foot wear on me. Yes, if I find new shoes, I replace them on spot. But run around on roads/asphalt wears them out fast. Or middle of the country side shoes are worn out.

I have 340 hrs across 2 accounts I don’t dupe or anything just made one before the wipe to have more loot I feel like I know everything now I got some pretty nasty snipes with a mosin on my first days playing I headshot sniped a guy who was in a bush prone he shot at me and I quick scoped him idk how I could only hear it not see him and tall grass but got 3 rd partied my a geared guy that I would of killed earlier if I had full auto on my m4 on official 😂

I kinda of agree that pve will not teach you how to play dayz as intended. However, play how you want. If all you do is pve, you will be slaughtered on official, normal servers. Mainly because you will not no how to travel the safer routes and will lack gun skills. Just have fun the way you want it's your time your game.

Your tips are rubbish ... no offence but i always have water purifacation tablets and therefore water. I repair my cloths all of the time, it protects the contents. Eating raw fruit saves lives, I've been there. PS, 150 hrs in how many years ?.

There are only 10 on the map, he even says in the video, so you don't always have them because theyre not always there and its still a terrible tip for a beginner. He never once said dont repair clothing, he said to repair it but not carry it, and he never said dont eat raw food, he said for a beginner its risky to eat rotten food. which it is. did you even watch the video because you certainly didnt understand it lol also he has 15k hours according to his steam, no idea how many hours on console, so i wouldnt even bother trying to compete there lol next time be nicer or at least be smarter

I did watch the video, all of it and he said he has played 150 hrs, I might have misheard that. Unless they changed the spawn rates, chlorine tablets are plentiful.

@@Chris-wz5yd That's a strawman, the argument is not eat rotten food or die, the argument is know what you can eat so you die less. Youre not understanding the video or the tips. Beginners dont understand dayz enough to rely on tips like that Chlorine tablets have been the same for years, 10 spawn on the map. Between 60 potential players and how the loot economy works its almost completely impossible for them to be plentiful. They dont even frequently spawn on the coast so most beginners wont even have any access to them. Also, he never said dont use them, he said its half a tip he also said 152 hours just last month. He knows what hes talking about, and I never defend youtubers
