I just put a deposit on Celebrity Silhouette today for Norway, called, and they said there is a charge for room service but not for the food. I know their pricing structure has changed a lot recently. Your other tips are helpful. So glad that there is no formal night. It's our first cruise ever!

Our travel agent suggested going with Celebrity when we were booking our cruise a few years ago and we were so glad we did. That citrus water and cold towel after I day in the Mexican sun were game changers! The people returning to the non-Celebrity ship docked next to us were so jealous! 😄

As we returned to Eclipse after Port Stanley, we were whisked back on board, whilst the poor passengers from supposedly a equally top grade ship, were in a line which stretched for hundreds of metres! We sipped our cool drinks, wiped our faces with the towels, and smiled. I know I should have felt mean but……

We have booked for Celebrity Millinium out of Bali to Singapore on January 4th-16th 2024. We have cruised NCL, RCL & Carnival but never Celebrity. You got me at "foodie." The agent we had spoke with also mentioned that another passenger mentioned that their are buffets & Celebrity buffets & restaurants are just a step above.

Great job Ilana. Totally agree with each point that you made. To your point, when we step on board at embarkation, we feel like we are home! We have sailed Celebrity four times, always on the Solstice Class (Equinox, Silhouette, Reflection, and Eclipse.) Who doesn't love walking barefoot in natural grass on a cruise ship?! We are sailing on Celebrity Edge next month and look forward to experiencing the latest class of ship.

My celebrity Millenium cruise to China was cancelled in March 2020, and rightfully so. I have a cruise booked on Celebrity Constellation Panama Canal for Christmas and New Years and am still hoping it sails. If it doesn't, we will lift and shift to Christmas 2021, same itinerary on Celebrity Edge. We always do Aqua class on Celebrity. LOVE LOVE LOVE Aqua class.

We’re Celebrity cruise fans, and have our first post Covid cruise booked for December this year. I cannot wait, and this video has made me even more cruise-sick. Cafe al Bacia is also my favourite spot on the ship, but when. You spoke about entertainment on board, you missed out the excellent music being played all around the ship! During our Antarctic cruise, we followed the wonderful Sashi all over the ship! Last but definitely not least is the library. A place for gentle relaxation and a brilliant array of books to borrow. Thankyou for an excellent précis of all things Celebrity.

Have you sailed on the Beyond? We love it. Your information was so valuable to us as we sailed on the Beyond and it was our very first cruise ever and we were well prepared! We followed nearly all of your tips and again, total lifesavers for us. We also were able to understand a lot of the things that might go wrong, like missed ports, and not get upset when that happened to us. I saw it as a bonus as it allowed us to enjoy the ship an extra day. We also wonder if you have taken a Disney cruise or if you plan to do so. My hubby also wonders a lot about what it must be like to have breakfast in the MDR or the Oceanview Cafe [I am NOT a morning person and he won't go alone]. Thanks for the brilliant videos. We have watched all of them, some more than once!

@@LifeWellCruised If possible, try to paragraph your time line to match the video. I think there are impediments for your doing this but if you can please do. Love Celebrity. Edge Class are the best ships going for adults. Nothing better. Good story. We were on the first American sailing of the APEX. I was in the Oceanview Cafe and saw Octopus. Love it grilled. I asked the chef to do that and he said sorry it was just for display! I didn't make a scene but when I got into Tuscany I mentioned this to the Maitre D. He said come here tomorrow at 6pm. And we did. He had the main chef prepare two Octopus dishes, both gourmet. The first was an Appetizer. It was sliced paper thin and arranged in a circle of overlapping slices. Wow. The second was the entree. It was marinated and grilled with a charcoal taste! and it was not cut into chunks. It was sliced lenghtwise and it was absolutely delish and I had a lot of it. You could not get these on land no matter how you tried!! There is also a moral to the story. it never hurts to ask the maitre D about something different or prepared in a different way. They may surprise you. We did find out that you could get any entree served that night in any complimentary restaurant no matter which one you were at. This is a very good tio to your Celebrity viewers.

We’re going on the Reflection on March 26. You forgot to mention the past passenger nightly cocktail party. Free drinks. 5-7 in the Sky Lounge. You have to show your cruise card to get in. Also Aqua Class gets free water in bottles.

I cruised on Celebrity Millennium in 2002 and Royal Caribbean in 2001, can’t remember but I think it was Explorer of the Seas. Best vacation you can get for the money! Multiple destinations, free food and amenities that no resort could possibly compete with.

Going on my very first cruise in 3 months (Oct 2024). I'm 69 years old, so it's about time, right? Four of us will be on the Celebrity Eclipse and will see the Dominican Republic, Puerto Plata, and St. Maartin. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Luckily, two of the people in our group are cruise veterans, so hopefully that will alleviate some of the stress I'm feeling. I'll probably need those tips on what to wear on a cruise. I rarely even go on a beach, so I'm even unsure about that aspect as well. Wish me luck!

Thanks so much for your tips! I will be a first-time Celebrity cruiser on the Millennium, sailing on Thanksgiving Day 2021(four nights) to Key West and Nassau. My friend and I are SUPER EXCITED to have the Celebrity cruising experience, so your tips come in very handy, although now we don't need to worry about gratuities or the beverage package because they are included in our fares. YAY!!! This will be the first vacation for both my friend and me in over 1½ years, so we are READY!!! :-)

I went on the Millennium in 2019 post refurbishment. It’s a nice ship. Didn’t have any bad food, though may be worth splurging on a specialty restaurant. The talks were great and shows were fun.

I have not yet cruised Celebrity, but just booked 12 June 2021 sailing out of Sint Maarten on Millennium in a Veranda. I am hoping for a great trip. Ports are not guaranteed (Tortola, Barbados and St Lucia) due to government approvals, but I am not a big fan of ports. Prefer to enjoy the ship!

Hello Rich, we are back from the July 24th Sailing to Alaska on Eclipse. We always select Concierge, love the service on Celebrity. Have a wonderful trip, pack rain gear, as we had beautiful weather in Vancouver, but that was pretty much the end of it, it rained all day in Juneau, and off and on in Sitka and Ketchikan.

Thank you for your video. I have a reservation for my wife and I on the Celebrity Equinox for their 10 night Ultimate Southern Caribbean sailing, departing 10 Nov 22. I have two cruises scheduled before that, first on the NCL Bliss from Ft Lauderdale to LA via the Panama Canal departing 4 Feb and a transatlantic Ft Lauderdale to Barcelona on the brand new Wonder of the Seas departing in April. Hi, Ilana. We just booked our first Celebrity Cruise for Alaska on Solstice for May 13-20, 2022 in Aqua class room. We are celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary and wondering if we should tell Celebrity or not. Do they offer any special things for special occasions?

I really like Celebrity cruises. Their itineraries are much better than RCCL. I'm going on the Equinox in September, rescheduled from last year. (fingers crossed)

Several down sides to the Edge Class cabins… There is no door to the balcony, when the window is down, it will suck out all the air conditioning. And, with the window down. All smooth surfaces in the cabin will be coated with moisture. You can’t pull drapes so either folding window shade will be up or down . There fore you can’t peek outside The bathroom door has a ver strong magnet so it always slam . You will also hear the load bang from all near cabins. There is a large mirror in the bathroom and will not steam up, but the consequence of that is a hot, hot mirror. If you get close to it to put on makeup or shave, you will sweat profusely. And there is no clothesline in the bathroom The only accommodations that offer the old style balcony with closing door and drapes are at the absolute back of the ship. Be prepared for soot coving everything, no overhead cover, loud engine noise and lots of movement. This is a cruise ship that it is better to have a cheap inside cabin . Then you can enjoy the unique amenities offered by the ship in peace.

@@cynthiag.5325 yes the ship starboard side was facing the pier so the public would not see the large burn mark . The metal was so weakened that it buckled upon impact with the iceberg. The owners of the White Star Line were mass murderers.

so sad that our celebrity cruise was cancelled for May 2022. We were booked on the infinity and the email we got said that celebrity was "pleased" to announce our ship had been relocated, which I found distasteful for those of us who aren't very "pleased" now we are trying to figure out what to do...they offered no benefit to those of us whose cruise got cancelled other than lift and shift (to a limit amount of options, which didn't work for us) or a refund. but nothing else..seems like they should offer some perk (onboard credit something) oh well...

Awesome vessels, wondrous decor, attentive and friendly staff (at all levels), excellent and plentiful food (delightful diversity of cuisine offerings), flexibility in shaping your own personal cruise experience while on board (in other words when in Rome you don't always have to do what the Romans do), engaging entertainment, and I really could go on and on. I have traveled with Celebrity Cruises a handful of times and have never experienced even a minor disappointment or dilemma. Every time I see their signature trademark capital 'X' on a vessel I get quite very excited by memories of my onboard journeys.

Did Celebrity change the number of bottles of wine guests can bring onboard? I was told it was 2 bottles per person. We will be on the Constellation out of Tampa on Feb. 24, 2023, for 10 days.

We were on Celebrity Eclipse May from Hawaii to Vancouver. The cruise service was terrible. Concierge class was not at all worth the money and nothing was special about it. We were not pleased with cabin service. We never knew whether or not we would get our cabin cleaned. We felt it was not special all . We got off on Vancouver and then boarded a Holland America ship. Wow…. The difference was night and day. Holland America is truly much more special

Thanks for the update Ilana. None of the suggestions you mentioned would hold me back, but I’m taking a wait and see approach. Your questions about refunds if you test positive at pier is one we definitely need an answer to. Just to play the devils advocate for the moment. You say the small countries need cruising for their economy. If your restricted to their excursions how does that benefit the little guy who needs the walk in traffic to survive or help the country that much? Another point, since these are American recommendations and ships do have to report any outbreaks what’s to say a smaller non American island will deny docking if they know of an outbreak? It’s their country and they can do what they want regardless of what the original agreement is all about. Finally I think you might see some activity either very late this year or early next year for sure. Not sure if it works on adults, but out here in BC, next month with the school kids their starting a simple mouthwash rinse that will test for the virus and give the results very quickly.

Gordon Dick so many interesting points. Cruise lines absolutely have to report all illnesses. This is actually why we always hear about Norovirus cases (in past) on cruises and not usually on land resorts. The rules are much stricter than people would think and cruise lines are quite regulated. I know it’s not ideal for destinations and I don’t like it myself. I do hope that over some time things will be less restrictive and this will pass. Cruise lines do vet local vendors though, and I know a few local tour operators that partner with the cruise lines and also sell direct to customers. I guess for them this will work ok, not as much for others. Ughhh the refunds? I wonder too

It's my understanding that when you open the doors and use the infinite balcony the air in your room shuts off. I watched another video where the couple said they never got a breeze; it felt stuffy out there.

Hey there! Great video. Going on Celebrity Equinox on May 21st for 8 nights. My wife and I are so excited. Puerto Rico..St. Marten..St. Thomas...Totola and Bahamas. Can u help us with on shore excursions worth doing? Also do u still throw bartenders a dollar if u have premium drink package? Get better service?
