I’ve stayed at 4 of these hotels, Hilton, Courtyard, Bacolet Beach club and the Hyatt, the Hilton was my least favorite because they definitely cater to non Trinidadians, the Bacolet was very nice and low key, honestly speaking though the jig is up, get yourself a nice airbnb in Maraval somewhere or anywhere in Tobago.
@@James-nv1wf if this was the case Jamaica would be swimming in cash, no other country caters to tourists more, what they do have is a country where their own nationals can’t even go to certain beaches, I’m Trinidadian living abroad and when I come home for visits I’d hope to not be treated second class to foreigners, I can’t think of any other country that does this except for Caribbean countries with their colonial mindset, I’d tell you this I would definitely not be staying there again and I’m a repeat visitor opposed to some tourist passing through on a one-off. Most countries put their citizens first and crime in Trinidad won’t be solved by tourists or foreigners.
@@jonjon2483 All citizens born in their country should have access to all their beaches, strike or demand it. Regarding second class for a night, try it for 4 years studying with international students.
Kpok i can vouch for..loval familiy owned and run for decades. Its well licated safe great service ajways from food tp rrooms to events. Trinis have akways lived kpok ..from diaspora carnival loverss returing annually. To. The locals enjoying tiki restaurnt for familiy. Events. To kava bistro type fir th work crowd That it has maintained lical familiy run cionnections. Ans high level lical high standard staff i testimony to family mmantra. Long may it survive... They are foreign owned because no government has ever been serious about developing tourism in the country. They prefer to lease/sell out to the foreigners and not encourage locals to invest.
All hotels are owned by locals even Hyatt and Hilton are government built least and foreign runs T&T undoubtedly the only Caribbean islands that's doesn't depends on tourism isn't overrun by tourists Please Google these information if don't believe me
