That was not a real battle it was an ACO bop manipulated fight against toyota.... such a shame that Ferrari must win the 100. Race at le mans.... f... off ACO
The best moment from the best race of 2023 in any category. Look at Dane Cameron in the 5, he's at the very back of the queue and makes it past 4 cars by the time they get to the first chicane!
@@abyss18 yes I'm aware but WEC is the top competition alongside IMSA. My point is more to do with an expanded race calendar so the drivers wouldn't necessarily need to jet off and race in other smallet competitions if WEC is their biggest priority
@@TheAlphaDingo Yeah but many teams are privateers, adding even more endurance races costs a lot of money. Next season will already have 72 hours of racing and that's excluding Quali and Practice. F1 next year will have about 36 years hours of racing and they have way bigger budgets.
Then we'll be back to 2018 to 2020 again, only 1 big manufacturer will be left. Because of the cost. Expanding the sport will make it die. Do you realise that the main reason so many manufacturers are competing since 2023 is because of the new regulations, making it extremely cheap to build run design and maintain hypercars? In comparison to LMP1 regulations, Hypercars are literally the bang for the buck. They're slower yes, but they're so damn cheaper manufacturers and even privateers are going in. If you expand the calendar that would mean more cost, the exact opposite of what made the series resurrect itself. This is not Formula 1. This is endurance racing.
Missed one of the best, the Glickenhaus and the Vanwall holding the Porsche and the Toyota for two laps at the end of the first hour in Spa. That chase was pretty cool.
If you wany shorter races, you can watch IMSA, which is the american sportscar championship. Most races of the calendar have 2 hours and 40 mins, and you'll see the Porsche, the BMW, the Cadillac and Honda as well. Plus the LMP2s and GT3s.
I recommend watching some of the shorter IMSA races. Also, most people don't watch the long endurance ones in full. I like to have them on the background and check in from time to time (though with some, like Le Mans last year, I was glued to the screen for a huge portion)
Actually it was Bernie Ecclestone who ruined the Group C because it was having similar audience levels with Formula 1. Considering that the relationship between FOM and FIA are worse than ever in the last 15 years, it seems unlikely for such a scenario to repeat. Still, this golden age will end sooner or after, nothing lasts forever, so let’s enjoy it while it lasts!
My very own personal view: there is a huge difference between endurance without Ferrari and Porsche and endurance with Ferrari and Porsche. I feel so lucky to see it !
A AMV Mix with F1, WEC, IMSA, DTM, 24h of Nürburgring and GT World Challange with the Song Tutto Quello Che Ho from the Italian Band FINLEY would be nice
Maybe i should stop watching F1 and start watching endurance championship I've been waiting so long to watch F1 become interesting...2013-20 was somewhat boring to watch, 21 was great, but then from 22 onwards it again went downhill with no hope for new competition till 2026(38/44 races seriously?...only a couple of them were interesting)
Porsche deciding to engage in LMDh and not Hypercar might've been one of the worst mistake they've ever made in endurance racing... At least they're successful in the US.
5:21 - 7:25 These casters must hate each others guts in real life. ROFL LMAO They have such bad chemistry. The other guys' just too greedy. wtf This is so bad WEC.
@@ltwracing bcos this 'ferrari won bcos toyota got unfair bop' argument is really funny. When toyota won le mans few last years, no one complained about toyota getting advantageous bop. Oh i forgot, no one really cared about le mans after porsche left and only toyota left as the big fish in a small pond. I am glad toyota accept the challenge from ferrari, porsche and cadillac instead of whininh like their fans
@PierreR115 lmh & lmdh have the exact same performance parameters thou so that theory isn't true as was shown in Fuji after porsche bought an electronics update when they held the supposedly much faster Toyota of for 4 hrs
Hey WEC admin, thanks for this awesome video, but just a heads up, you don't have to put a stop time for each "chapter" in the RU-vid timeline on the description. For example instead of 0:00 - 2:35 highlight 1 It could just be 0:00 highlight1 (We see the 2:35 in the chapter name on the video)
