Holy Smoke. That V7 Special. Fantastic looking bike, coloured mudguards, chrome grabrail even, twin instruments, minimal black, spoked wheels, nice spoked wheels at that too. A chrome tail light would be nice as well. That's a retro that is properly done, proper good. Stunning, closer to the real deal than the Z900 Kawasaki, a real eyecatcher. A new bike but looks exactly like a classic from the 80's or 70's, exciting.
I thought exactly the same, when I first saw it, bought one 2 years ago just on what I saw, finally saw her in the flesh when I went in to the dealer to sort paperwork, had her delivered and she certainly doesn’t disappoint, in my opinion best bike I’ve owned. To be fair had a thing for Guzzi’s since I first saw the Le Mans and California in the mid 70’s and now living the dream.
I have the 2023 V100S and the 2024 850 STOnE model 10. Guess which one I like to ride the most. Hint, it has about half the power. I added Oxford heated grips hooked to a switched 12V solenoid to power on/off the ground (no killed battery this way). I stuck a USB port under the seat, too, and a cod to hook to my phone in my pocket as needed. I put another set of red MOTO GUZZI transfers on front and rear wheels 180 dgeree from the exisitng ones, to add more color. Oh, I put on RED cylinder head covers and Ohlins twin shocks in gold/yellow livery. Hugely better looking bike than stock. For longer trips, the GIVI touring fairing works really well keeping the pressure off your chest. Bough it in July and near 5,000 miles already. This is a really fun bike to ride. It is the ride and not the destination, that's the V100S. The V7 let's you enjoy every mile where the V100S just blast through in a hurry. It is so communicative in the right way. All the V7's share that trait. And hell yes, I like the digital dash. It is offset so my TPMS monitor won't block it on the handlebars. Still, MG gives you so many good choices with the V7's. Pick your bike! I picked two.
Long live this beautiful and wonderful motorcycle company. I have usually bought Harley and Kawasaki but my next bike is either the Corsa or the V7 Ten. Just beauty beyond anything anyone else makes. Sure it won't blow your socks off power wise, but who cares. I know these can handle twisties really well.
