tilt mode man down is by far my favorite, purely on the fact that it shows not only some really sick skateboarding, but also how fun skateboarding can be, and gets me suuuper hyped to go out and skate

Guys...it's a SUBJECTIVE list. It's his personal opinion. I'm sure RadRat is aware of the impact and influence all the videos he didn't list had on skateboarding. For example, I'm sure RadRat has love for the Baker videos, however, he just prefers these more. Obviously his opinion isn't gonna be the same as everyone else's. Good work, RadRat! 👍

People give Mullen flack for having crap style in older videos, because mainly in a lot of his competitions he performed perfectly. He was then as years went on held to that level of quality and cadence, and was further judged by that. The true godfather of skateboarding.

just curious do you have a sk8 crew? For that matter any sk8 friends period? Reason I ask is because I'm from the same era as you and all of my sk8 crew is long been done with sk8ing and though I never plan on quitting myself I find it harder and harder to find motivation specially when it comes to going big and Being I never see anyone sk8 with you thought id ask what some of the things you do to stay motivated are

Shackle me not set the standard for skate vids it criminal not to have it as no1. Also no useless wooden toys? The worlds introduction to Ed Templeton. I will excuse you as you say, you weren't around in that era, but those 2 videos changed skating forever and deserve massive props.

Good list, I like the older videos too. I'm 32 now, so all those late 90s early 00s were my early teen years when I was on a board more than I wasn't. Some of the ones you mentioned I would watch daily till I knew them front to back. Made it easy to get inspired to try something new

This list brought me back to middle and high school! I loved the storm. I loved Opinion. I stopped skated seriously right as Fully Flared came out. Those early 2000s skate videos were so rad.

I've been inspired by Dan Wolfe's Closure, Eastern Exposure, Flip-Sorry, Girl-Yeah Right, Baker and Deathwish [everything] Emerica-This Is Skateboarding, Stay Gold, Welcome to Hell, Jump off a Buiding, Mislead Youth, Thrill of it All. All the early PlanB, Hstreet, New Deal, even Santa Cruz's [Natas parts] Speed Freaks, Wheels of Fire. I'm even stoked on everything Pyramid does these days. Damn, too many to make a best 10.

I had globe opinion on vcr as a child and watched it almost every day along with my few 411 tapes.

Having started skateboarding around the same era, your list definitely resonates with me. It may not make any sense for younger or older skaters, but those videos that you picked around 00 were just the best. Big thumbs up for picking the storm, some stuff in it may look cheesy now, but back then everybody was swearing by it.

@1:25 you say that about Mullen and SHS and over the course of the decades it's probably correct, but when the third Plan B vid came out, for me it was like a comeback; the farewell would have been when his freestyle board got focused in "Rubbish Heap". Great work BTW.

The Storm is MY favorite video EVER. Music, Tech-Stuff everything is so on point. That video used to hype me up for skating like no other.
