Ten things. What would I recommend a tourist see?The Penguin Parade, Phillip Island.Soverign Hill, Ballarat. The Great Ocean Road.Healesville Sanctuary.A guided walking tour of the C.B.D. (Block Arcade,Royal Arcade, Hosier Lane etc).A free tram ride around the city.A game of footy.Federation Square (Ian Potter Gallery, ACMI and a dash over to the NGV).The Royal Botanical Gardens.St.Kilda.
as someone from melbourne, this is a very suspect list! Melbourne is famous for restaurants, bars and coffee, is known for live music and arts, and has a pretty iconic (for australia) sports arena - the MCG (melbourne cricket ground - not just for cricket). I would have also included AFL (footy), some of the different inner city suburbs to get a sense of the vibe there (st kilda, fitzroy, richmond, carlton). The markets, like Queen Victoria market, Prahan market, south melbourne, the trams, flinders street station, the exhibition buildings, theatre, galleries, loads of parks (including the botanic gardens). Pretty sure the hop on/hop off bus is like similar ones in many cities around the world which are designed for tourists, but really melbourne has a pretty good network of trams and trains and the trams in the city area are free. But remember to take a brolly!
I’m from England but the Location I dream of going to most in Melbourne is the 100,000 seated MCG to watch Footy or Cricket not bothered which sport, love the “G”!
I'm from Melbourne and this list is a farce. The wheel is a joke and has now shut down because it sucked. You missed some amazing attractions like Puffing Billy, Philip Island penguins, MCG, Healesville Sanctuary, Yarra Valley, Great Ocean Road and Sovereign Hill.
This is the worst top 10 list for Melbourne that has ever existed. Obviously created by someone that has never been to Australia as they have missed many more important attractions. Melbourne Star as #1 is the icing on the cake, it is Melbourne's equivalent of the Shelbyville Monorail, you would be hard pressed finding a local who has even taken a ride on it.
*Vah vah..Melbourne has developed rather rapidly over the years..It is better and cleaner than India..Melbourne bilkul ek saaf, well-organised aur modern shahar hai.. Adhik vikasit, adhunik aur saaf hai bharat se...Shabaaash..very done..Bahut badhiya*
Yea, more like your not very impressing. Don’t be mean! I’m a local there, and from the pictures, yes they are boring as hell, but you need to actually go there! Theme parks: bunya world, Luna park, fun fields and so much more! You can watch penguins 🐧 up close! You shouldn’t just trust a RU-vid video.
Do a updated travel guide. Because I'm not being funny but this video is making Melbourne look shit. The first thing you showed. Why would we go there. I mean ain't that where the snakes are. You want us to die or something. But a part from the eureka and the wheel. The rest doesn't look interesting. Based on this video I wouldn't fly from England to Melbourne.
