Yesss another video! Super helpful tips for calligraphers and love the final advice of starting small with 1 or 2 things 😅 Sometimes it's not about doing all things and being a generalist but focusing on a few and being a specialist - awesome job Dina!
Hi Dina I’m left hand also learned calligraphy in high school (long time ago) I’m thinking about starting it back up as a hobby and this just motivated me!
Thanks for all your tips, I’m new to calligraphy. Just started practicing the strokes. Hopefully I’ll be good if I continue practicing. Did subscribed to you channel love your video!!!
Brilliant video ... thank you so much. Not sure which I'll start with ... probably more greeting cards and approaching small businesses near me. I also do glass engraving now, so that will be included. Calligraphy is such a beautiful art form ❤
Hola Dina, son muy buenas tus recomendaciones, tienes un buen contenido en tu canal y me gusta hacer caligrafía en mis ratos libres. Saludos desde México.
As a business owner, I always look to support the small business Owner vs big box store and definitely use these purchases as an expense! "You are always in your right mind!" 😂 Maybe add a side business as a comedian? ❤
Thank you. This video was so inspiring and helpful. I am just beginning my calligraphy journey. I want to create greeting cards, to start. There are so many options!
This is nice, I enjoyed it. I’ve created Calligraphy for 55 years. I have experience doing 8 of your methods and found that sometimes the work picks you! One opportunity opens other doors. ~Calligraphy is my escape into art, flourishing my soul., ConnieRMW
Very helpful...SEO...Search Engine Optimization..😀 and yes very engaging talk... subscribed to your channel immediately. Just started learning calligraphy ..looking forward to such interesting and useful content from you... Thanks
Hi Dina, I watched this and your card selling video and appreciate all the tips. Wondering if you could advise or elaborate on what different paper types for card/envelopes I need to look for to do pointed pen calligraphy! Thank you, Christine
I'm glad you're finding the videos helpful! For pointed pen calligraphy, printer paper won't work. You will need a smooth and probably thicker paper. The cheapest one is the HP LaserJet 32 lb paper, or Rodia pads. For envelopes, try to find thicker envelopes (not the ones you buy in bulk from Staples for example) It will also depend on the ink you're using. Hope that helps! 😁
Please can i have some advice about this topic, I'm really struggling to start something from this craft. I love calligraphy and I'm jobless for the moment....
Dina, I absolutely LOVE your videos!! 🙌🏼🤍 (I've got myself responding to you outloud and nodding my head... haha 😅). Thanks for being awesome!! This video was SUPER HELPFUL! Now, to decide what handful of these ideas I should get going on in my soon to be starting up calligraphy and crafting business. 🤔
