Patience and consistence is key. I've been on RU-vid for almost 3 years and I just hit 1k. I had a lot of setbacks with my equipment breaking but this year I decided no matter what to be a lot more consistent.
Growing on RU-vid is such a waiting game. Before starting, I thought I’d hate that fact but every success/milestone is sooo good! Getting one new view is like, MAD. 😂😂
"It might take a while" This is really key in starting a channel and basically everything in life. Ife of Diary of a Naija girl said something on this, "Don't work for the views, Create Content that is unique to you and adds value to your viewers" My dear new RU-vidrs please let us never forget this. So true “having your own identity” I am happy to say that having my own identity made my channel grows well for 3 months I reached 2K+ subscribers. I guess is not bad but a lot of work and patience is much needed.

For me, being myself is the best thing I’ve done for my channel, because of this my impressions has grown over 20k and I just passed 600 subscribers 💛 but it takes time. I try not to focus on numbers too much though but still be smart and strategic with my uploads and content. Definitely took some great points from this, thumbnails are my weakness 😩. I hate editing them.
Right I'm learning it's not about focusing on the numbers I really enjoy it. It's been a major distraction from all the death around me and I'm grateful.

You are so right, i gave up a few times in between and that really affected my growth. I've been on youtube for 5+ years and still under 3K subs because of lack of consistency. SO don't be like me and be consistent

I have recently started my RU-vid channel and I am spending alot of time on my videos with a fulltime job and trying to balance motherhood too. I am not getting many views or subscribers not that it is all about the figures but other people's feedback encourages me to keep going. Feeling a little disappointed but trying super hard to not give up as I do enjoy what I do 😰
Hi Kelechi. I loved this video!! A quick question: I watched your lighting video where you raved about LED lights. I live in Nigeria and I’m just starting RU-vid. I’m not able to order from amazon and I’m on a budget. I found an LED light in 9j here but it has 528 bulbs instead of 660 like the ones you recommend and it’s also much more affordable. Do you think it’s worth the buy of I should just go for an LED ring light which is around the same price of two(2) of the cheap LED lights? I hope you can reply XOXO
