You sure know how to craft "outside the box!" Fantastic. Love the way you made the coffee in your last card glazed as if it were showing thru a clear mug. Fantastic.
The *Cup of Joy* coffee shop is phenomenal. I would have never thought to create the interior of the shop the way you did. It's amazing. The No. 10 card with the all the cups and sentiments is so freaking cute! *I like Big cups and I cannot lie* made me literally laugh out loud. I could hear Sir-Mix-a-lot singing it in my head. LOL And they get funnier. *I give a Frappe* Hysterical especially in todays climate. And then you come up with *Hello Dark Roast my old Friend* and I'm dead. I bow to the master. You are incredibly creative.

Love your take on the coffee collection Scott. Hello dark roast my old friend was my favourite, but I liked all the others as well.. Your cards are so much fun. Di.
I'm not a coffee drinker but I loved the puns you came up with - hilarious! Loved seeing all the different styles you came up with for these cards and the use of the wooden stir sticks added some neat dimension and texture. Favourite card has to be the Hello Dark Roast, loved the background and the shine. Thank you for the tips in regards to getting a straighter cut with dies, so frustrating when they don't line up and the tip on getting the puffy snow to work was great. Happy card making!
Thanks so much Linda! I had so much fun with my first coffee stamp set... ! I employ that die-cutting tip all the time now...!!! saves me so much aggravation! LOL! Spread the Cheer!
Omg all your cards are amazing. Love what you did with the coffee shop die 😍 and your I give a frappe sentiment is hilarious. I love than all your cards are different. What an amazing job you did. 😍😍😍
You are so creative. Love the 4 x 9 card with all the cups! I have this kit and can’t wait to do some stamping. Its almost time for Sept. kit, so I have to hurry. This was also my first coffee stamps. Great for sending coffee shop gift cards. Thanks for all your great ideas-your videos are so much fun to watch. 😘
Scott, you did it again such awesome cards...I said ohhh on card # 2 I like that one then I saw card # 6 and I really that one more then I saw all of them and said I love them all...this set of coffee card would be a fantastic gift for my coffee lover friend....thank you so much for sharing your talent and your sense of humor. Well done and tfs
Scott, I missed you! Glad you posted another one...I actually have 2 favorite things this time. Still LOVE the inside sentiments and your 4 x 9 idea was exceptional! Keep the creative juices flowing.
Thank you, Debbie! Always good to hear from you! I was sorely in need of a little break this month! Your encouragement is what inspires me! Spread the Cheer!
Oh Scott, Scott Scott! Loved the video...well worth the wait! You definitly outdid yourself this month! Where do I begin???? Loved the large die coffee shop, your rainbow cups with the butcher block table...genius! Your interactive cards done without a die...perfect! And #10, your non Irish coffee looks so real with the foam slowly melting into the coffee...beautifully colored. You had me LOL with your renditions...Coffe and a Show! Thank you for giving a Frappe!
Lisa! Thank you, thank you, Thank YOU! You know how much that means to me! You are a blessing! Someone mentioned a number of months ago, that she makes popcorn before sitting down to a CardCutups video..!! LOL!! Dinner Theatre anyone..?? LOL! You're the BEST!!! Hope you and the family have a great weekend!! XO!
Scott as usual you don't disappoint! I especially love the card with the inside of the cafe muted. That is genius! I got this kit and I can't wait to try some of your ideas! Thanks for sharing the tip on cutting your images out using a template!
Thank You, Shauna! Always greatly appreciated! That die-cutting tip is VERY handy! Especially with dies like these that have full metal over the handles... definitely a craft-saver!! Thanks so much for all the encouragement and support! Spread the Cheer!!
This is the first time I have found you, and I am a lifetime fan :) Your cards are ingenious, sooo creative and I LOVE your laugh. Thank you for sharing!
Thank YOU, Sameena! Welcome, WELCOME! It pleases me to no end to be able to share some grins and giggles with you here (and a little inspiration too, I hope!) Spread the Cheer!
Wow! I finally got a chance to watch this and you are brilliant! I especially love the coffee shop card -so creative. I just sent my son to the coffee shop for coffee stirrer sticks (don't tell!) Can't wait to start using my kit. Thanks for all of your inspiration!
Scott, your card ideas are so fun! You make great use of your stash to make the MMH Coffee Set work! Your creativity and your cheerful approach are refreshing. Your explanations are clear and helpful. Being fairly new to using RU-vid for card-making, this is the first video I have found from you and I look forward to more.
"Hello dark roast my old friend"!!! LMAO!! The inside could be, "Can't wait to drink with you again". You crack me up. Seriously, I so look forward to your posts and sense of design, creativity and humor. Thanks for sharing and keep up the punny stuff!
I literally did a You Tube search this morning because I was thinking I missed your post...whew, didn't miss it at all! So glad to see your post! My Monthly Hero needs to take a look at your work!
Thank you, Laura! Good to hear from you! I was sorely in need of a bit of a break this month... ahhhhhhh...! From your mouth to God's ears!! LOL! Bless you dear, and Spread the Cheer!
Brilliant idea with the cafe photo! The long card is my favorite. I don’t get this kit, but I have other coffee stamps that I’m going to try this with. Thanks for sharing your great cards! 🤓
Jeanne! Always good to hear from you! Thank YOU for your continued support and encouragement! That is what inspires me and keeps me crafting! Spread the Cheer!
I'm not going to say anything new that the others below have not already said...these are fabulous cards and yes, you are an ARTIST!!! I wonder if it's because of your day job, but your cards are wonderfully theatrical! I love your butcher block table and am having difficulty choosing a favorite card yet again. Your DSP's are incredible and really highlight and showcase your coffee images. Thank you!
Thank YOU, Deborah! Not sure what you mean by DSP's... Demand Side Platform? Digital Signal Processor? (sometimes I can be dim...!! LOL!) Your support and encouragement inspires me! Spread the Cheer!
Ok so you know how much I love your punny cards! I have come to a conclusion though... I must invest in depends before viewing your vids.. 😂😂😂 I thought the "I like big cups" card was going to be the best but nope!!! "Hello dark roast my old friend" I truly woke up the entire house and scared the dog with laughter... Your a genius!!! Thanks so much for the most fun in creativity, I just love your personality and sense of humor!!! Your a Rockstar my crafty friend! Have a great weekend!! Hugs
LOL!! Depends, huh!!?? LOL!!! Thank you so much Janet (n Melissa?) It thrills me to be able to share some laughs with you here! Mission Accomplished!! Spread the Cheer!
Another random comment... It would be fun to see you revisit some of these card kits and see what you come up with today. Maybe not do another 10 set of cards cuz that might be a whole lot but maybe three. :-) I just love your videos
Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas - they are great!! Especially liked card #10. You inspired me so much I went right over to purchase this stamp set and sadly, it's gone. You are soooo creative . . . and entertaining, I love watching your videos and getting ideas. After seeing your Little Pickup video I purchased that stamp set and made an anniversary card for my husband - he has a pickup and loves it. I used the hearts for the bed of the truck. He enjoyed it very much.
Diane! Thank YOU so much! Always love hearing from you! I think this kit JUST sold out only a day or two ago...! ARGH! I remember you mentioning doing the pickup card for your hubby!! Really personal cards like that have a tendency to be saved for posterity! LOL!! Thanks for your continued support and encouragement!! Spread the Cheer!
My fave was the last card, hello dark roast! and I love what you did with the coffee stirrers! I hate coffee, so I skipped this kit, but your video makes me wish I had it, lol.
LOL! Thank you, Dianne! I think the coffee stirrers were my 'breakthrough' moment with this kit!! Your support and encouragement inspires me! Spread the cheer!
Hi Scott, When I received this kit, I was a bit disappointed. I drink coffee but what kind of cards can one make using coffee cups? Well, you showed me! I love the extra touches on your cards using coffee stirrers and your funny puns always make me smile. Thanks for sharing your talent and ideas again this month. I guess I should get started using my HA August kit making some cards.
Hello Ruth!!! Thank you so very much!! The MMH September kit is coming soon!!! As always, your support and encouragement is what inspires me! Spread the Cheer!
Hi Scott....I also purchased the ornate carousel stamps/dies...I usually try to avoid extras with kits but couldn't resist them (and they are gorgeous). I loved your cards this month, I think my favorites were the latte love card (love all the colors) and the hello dark roast card (the coffee looks so real I want to drink it!!). I am so happy MMH has been including a large fancy die in their last few kits (and the preview for the new kit also has one)...they make it so easy to make quick, lovely cards---and what a great idea to put a coffee shop interior behind the "glass". Thanks for the tip about the "foam"...I'll try it both ways and see which I like. Glad to hear you've taken some time off....I cannot imagine trying to keep up with all the card making necessary to have a you tube channel and juggle that with all your work responsibilities. I am (as usual) behind on several kits and I relocated my craft room so I can't find half of my stuff right now anyway. Just curious, do you make a mess when you sit down to do cards or are you tidy? Yesterday evening I went upstairs and did one card...one card...and the room looks like either someone had a great party in there or something exploded.
Oh, my dear Sophie! Thank you so much!! LOL!! Oh YES, I make quite the mess when working...! LOL!! One of my greatest pleasures is cleaning up and putting everything away after I post a video... all the stamps and dies get filed away, the extras are added to my stash, all my scraps and templates get tossed or recycled, I clean my media mat, and all is right with the world - - at least for a short time!! LOL!! You are so very dear to me and I always look forward to hearing from you! Have a great weekend, and Spread the Cheer!
Bonnie! Thank you so much! I am a BIG "Frasier" fan but don't don't remember ever seeing a logo for 'Cafe Nervosa'... :-( Heaven knows, there's enough caffeine on these cards to make anyone a little 'nervosa'!! LOL!!! Spread the Cheer!
Hi Scott! I'm a little late to the party. I recently purchased a destash box, and this kit was in it. I look to you for great ideas. 2018 was when I started making cards. Well the stamping, I did watercolor before. Let me tell you, watercolor was less expensive ...lol. However, nobody can hold a candle to Hero Kits as far as value and variety. Now I may be way off, and correct me if I'm wrong. You seem to have shown 3 things in this video that really hadn't been trendy until sometime after this video posted. #1-Slimline cards (yes, I know they existed, but really hadn't taken off yet‐like now). #2 & #3‐(bubble)cutting the sentiment & stacking them for dimensions.
Watching this 4 years late because a friend just gifted me a couple of old, unopened MMH kits! Did you invent the slimline card trend??! Those dark roast Irish coffees look good enough to drink.
Hi Scott. As always a set of great cards. My favourites were 10, 6 and the coffee shop card. Doing the inside of the shop was genius.Loved the puns and great pull cards as well. I didnt get this set but I do have plenty of tea and coffee stamps from magazines I have bought so I will definitely be able to use these as inspiration. Good to see you back. I was having Scott crafter withdrawls lol. Cant wait for your next video. Have a great day. Coffee hugs from a sunny winters day in Auckland, New Zealand where we say frapp -eh! lol
Sylvia! Always great to hear from you!! Thank you so much! Yes... the flat 'frap' pronunciation is a very New England regionalism! Sorry for the delay posting this month - It was very nice and much needed to have a little bit of a break..! As you know, it is folks like you who keep me inspired! Thanks for all the encouragement! Spread the Cheer!
Thanks E!!! I was able to take some time off this month which was sorely needed and much appreciated! Your encouragement inspires me! Spread the Cheer!
Thanks!! I used VersaMark on the first Thank You card for the 'latte art' stamp. Early in the release of this kit someone (from Hero Arts?) showed pics of using the lacquer with the puff embossing powder for the whipped cream - that's why I was doing the cream with the lacquer. Final result is much more 'puffy' than with just VersaMark! Interesting technique!
Nancy! Check out these videos of mine for more info on using Silhouette software to print sentiments: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V9YuZSqC9fo.html or: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R5sgYczF3uc.html The "You Mocha me Crazy" is just white text on a black background...! Hope that helps!
Hey Scott, as usual u did a great bunch of cool cards. Get a good laugh at your creative sentiments. U must have a riot making your cards. Lol By the way, how was your summer? Take care! 🙋♀️🦒👍
Rea! Always good to hear from you! Thanks so much! Truly a pleasure to share some grins and giggles with you here - and maybe a little inspiration!! Very hot and muggy summer up here in the northeast... and lots of rain...! I think the reservoirs are full! Bless you dear, and Spread the Cheer!
Great fun as always ! Have you made any cards using used coffee filters ? None are ever the same and you get nice texture when you stamp on it . Loved them all and I don't drink coffee ! Thanks again for the inspiration
Thanks Susan! Always good to hear from you! I haven't used filters before, but I do like the look of those 'all-natural, unbleached' filters... kind of kraft colored...! Hope you have a great weekend and Spread the Cheer!
Sure missed your videos so I did some reruns. I’m glad you had some good time off. I’m spent quite a bit of time making backgrounds for future cards using Dylusions & Tim Holtz spray inks, Dylusions paints, Distress regular & Oxide inks, stencils, etc. I had to leave the house in a rush. Failed to clean my mess. And I never even made a card. Ugh!!! I love using Bristol & mixed media papers. And 110# card bases. Really like your wooden coffee stirrers for frames & surfaces. I will ask some friends to gather some for me. I use Marvy snow maker for my cream on coffee stamps & snow scenes. I cushion it with small strip bubble wrap when mailing. I give a frappe, hello dark roast, and rainbow cards the best but they were all great. I can always count on you for great laughter!! Thanks a latte for bringing laughter to my life!! You’re a wonderful artist & comedian!!
Oh, my goodness, thank you so much Pat! Sometimes you just have to put color to paper and the end results be damned! LOL!! It thrills me to no end to be able to share some laughs (and a little inspiration) with you here. I have some Marvy snow markers too! Great puff action with them! Hope you're having a great weekend, and, Spread the Cheer!
Where have you been?! I was about to go into a complete withdrawal phase! lol Great video...and puns. I love your technique to do the clear to go lids. I know people pronounce things differently, but have you heard it pronounced frap-eh ? shrugs I think perhaps because we are an English/French nation we may say things more French?
Tanya! I'm still here...! Enjoyed a little time off this month! (much needed!!) Thank you so much ! Always great to hear from you! I'm in NYC so we are greatly influenced by New England where a Frappe is basically a milkshake. I did find this: "Frappé is pronounced fruh-pay, if it's a frozen, fruity, sherbet-like thing, or a liqueur poured over shaved ice. If it's a milkshake thing, it's frappe (note the absence of the accent mark). And then it rhymes with clap. Presumably that's the reason for some confusion. It should be noted that "frappe" in the second sense is a regional thing -- throughout most of the US no one would know what you meant if you asked for a "frap" instead of a "milkshake". To my recollection, the term is only used (in the US) in some parts of New England." ... ...And that concludes our vocabulary lesson today! LOLOLOL!! Bless you dear, and Spread the Cheer!!
Hi, so talented! So for the fourth card I believe it's the one with the blue cup how did you make the score lines to pull the card? Did you use a die frame? Somehow I missed it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cards. You inspire me
Thank you so much Maria! Always appreciated! Sunny Studios has a Sliding Window Dies set that creates that sliding easel card. I created my own using my Silhouette Portrait cutting machine, so my silhouette cuts the dashed lines for the folds. (the Sunny Studio dies will make score lines at those points, but it's basically the same thing...!) Hope that helps!!
Hi Frances! That stamp is a Concord and 9th "Sunshine Turnabout Stamp" You can find it here: www.amazon.com/Concord-9th-Stamps-Sunshine-Turnabout/dp/B074N51FZK
The 'action' part of the Sliding Window is 4" wide by 5.25" tall (with a finger notch in the center of the top). The frame inside that is a 1/2" frame so the inner sliding piece is 3" wide by 4.25" tall - cut on three side with a fold line on top. Another fold 1/4" up from the bottom (attach your pull tab to this) and the center fold at 2". Hope that helps! Let me know!
Claudia! Looks like you can buy a current catalog at Hero Arts: heroarts.com/products/2018-winter-catalog AND I believe a free PDF download is available there as well! Hope that helps!
Hi Scott, Love the cards, but especially love all the various uses of the coffee stirrers. Particularly on the long card with all the coffee mugs. Looked awesome.
