Your cards are beautiful this month! You did a GREAT job with all the reflections...especially the "Northern Lights". I did not know about flipping the negative die cut to get an exact reflection...thank you for that! Your vignettes are so sweet...I loved them! In case you were wondering, your explanation and the visual construction of the sliding mechanism is simple and to the point. As always, thank you for sharing.
Lisa!! Thank YOU oh so very much! I was a little afraid that I had blown through the 'how-to" sections too quickly, so it's good to hear that they were effective! I eagerly await your comments every month... your support inspires me! I believe in YOU TOO! XO!
LOVE YOUR DOUBLE SLIDER CARD...you REALLY went the extra 100 miles with this kit!!! Your cards are ALWAYS AMAZING! Every month I look forward to seeing your video! THANK YOU for sharing your creativity and laughter with us!!!!
JUDY! Thank you so much!! I didn't think I would have so much fun with this kit at first, but once I got rolling...! Looks like you all had a great time in CO!! While we sit here and bake in the asphalt oven that is NYC..!! LOL! I'm always pleased when I can make you smile! All my best to you and yours!!
The Splash of Love card is my favorite but I love them all! The birthday one with the little boy popping up made me laugh out loud because I was not expecting that. The Nessie card is so cute and the first card is so beautiful. TFS!
Card 1 is just stunning! I mean jaw-dropping beautiful. Nothing else mattered. Every time it was in the background I just stared at it. 🤯 The interactive cards were fun and I really appreciated the how to bits, but you could've done this whole video on that first card and I would be ecstatic. I just can't say enough about it! It took me straight back to my childhood and times on the Susquehanna River. Great, now I'm crying. Thank you for a beautiful nostalgia trip and memories of my special fishermen and times lost. Funny how something as simple as a card can trigger so much emotion. Hugs to you!!!
Oh my goodness, Beverly! Thank you so so so very much! I love it when I can elicit an emotional response with my cards! (usually laughter, but I'll take what I can get! 😊) That is so touching... You blow me away, you lovely lady!! I don't think I knew you were from the eastern parts...! PA? NY? MD? Another one lured to the west by the sun!!! Bless you Bev!! Sending you big crafty hugs!!
Yes, PA! We moved away when I was 6 but my grandparents had a cottage on the river until I was in my teens. Caught my first fish and learned to waterski there. Loved every minute I spent there!
Oh my goodness! Each card is extraordinary, and the interactive cards are beyond amazing! Your creativity is only matched by your witty puns. Thanks for the inspiration AND the giggles!
Scott, your Northern Lights, use of embossing powder, ripples stencil, and interactive cards are brilliant, not to mention your puns. I'm so glad I found your channel. Your mind works in amazing ways.
Thank you, Selina! I was a little worried that I blew past the how-tos so quickly no one would be able to figure out how to do these! Good to know otherwise! Spread the Cheer!! 😊
I'll say it again: you're a genius and the most creative card maker in the universe! That aurora borealis is so pretty; love the jump in and the splash!!!! That castaway...so wonderful! Hope you're enjoying the summer! Finally no muggy days here! TFS Scott!!! Laura
You are amazing! I love ALL of your creations but your puns and laughter make watching your videos even more enjoyable. Thank you! Please keep creating and sharing your talent!
You can make any stamp set exciting! I was greatly impressed by your ink blending. I was in awe of your double slider cards. I was mesmerized by your "Cast away your troubles" card. I'm just blown away by your creative mind.
I am continually amazed at your cards! The aurora borealis background, the reflections in the scene cards, the water, the interactive elements (especially the splash with hearts)--every detail has a purpose and contributes to the overall awesomeness! I can't choose a favorite because they are all fabulous, but I think the vignettes are as impactful as the full scenes. (Great use of white space!) Your slider explanation is great--I might even give it a try. TFS!
Thank YOU, Jennifer! Oh my goodness..!! Very much appreciated! It is so nice to know that my obsessive tendencies actually get noticed once in a while!! 😊 Spread the Cheer! 😊
I was sooo excited to see that you posted cards from this kit! I was checking every day and worried that you weren't going to do this kit for some reason. I bought this kit right away, I knew it would sell out fast. I love all of the cards but my favorite is the first one. I'd like to copy your idea for the fishing line - you're so creative and come up with such out of the box ideas. The way you figure out the mechanics of the interactive cards... I think you have some talents of an engineer. Thank you for the great inspiration!
Thank YOU, Diane! ALWAYS GREATLY APPRECIATED! Took a little extra time this month but I had a good time with this kit! Always pleased to be able to share some ideas with you!
Love all of your cards. You are so fun to watch, and I think you are one of, if not THE, most creative crafter when it comes to cards. Thank you for sharing your talent!!!
Thanks Susan! I think it's a fun intro - and something a little different! I had a great time playing with this kit! So Many Options! Spread the Cheer!
Scott!!!!!! I think I'm speechless! Your interactive cards are so much fun and so creative! My two favorite cards are the Aurora Borealis and the sky full of stars. I think stamping on black cardstock is very tricky as sometimes the black just absorbs all the ink, so your ideas are very welcome. Five stars to you for creativity and skill, that's for sure!!! Thanks so much!! Nat :-)
Thank YOU, Nat! So very much appreciated! I was worried the black cards would be too somber, but I like 'em too!! And they provide a nice contrast to the colorful ones! Your encouragement and support inspires me! Spread the Cheer!
I can tell this is one of your favorite kits! I love all the scenic cards, but your aroaboriellis card is fabulous! It also looks like fog rising off the lake! 👍
Wow! Really great work! HaHa, Keep it Reel! The Northern Lights turned out Fantastic! Pier Pressure is wonderful! Nessie!!! I always wondered how the slider cards worked! Ponds have more fun, I actually know this! LOL Reflective stars are awesome! Splash? How absolutely brilliant! You are the Master !!!
I don't know what you do for a living, but I sure hope it involves creativity, bc you have such a natural talent for it. You are, by nature, a very punny guy! I've missed you over the last couple of months nc of a 3 room renovation, so I'll have to go back and catch up. Great job on ALL of your cards Scott--love each and every one. Keep spreading the cheer my crafty friend!!!
I have to say, WOW!!!! When I got this kit I was disappointed and thought it was very limited but you proved me wrong!! I love the 'Ponds have more fun!' because as you can see in my picture, I'm not only a card crafter but also a crazy duck lady!! I will definitely be making some of those 'Pond" cards in tribute to my flock!! And of course the sliders are genius!! Will try those too! You've gotten me excited about this kit!! Thanks Scott! Love your channel, you puns and your chuckling videos!!!
Oh, Thank YOU so so very much! That IS a duck in your arms! The pond card is just perfect then!! Gives me a BIG chuckle!! Who'd-a-thunk!!? Always aim to give you some unique inspiration with my 10C1K videos and I'm always thrilled to share some laughs with you! Spread the Cheer!!
love the reflection in the pond (cause I never would have thought to do that) and the splash card is just so creative---I am amazed at your ability to consistently do unique cards. I have this kit but really haven't used it yet....my son and grandson go fishing at a nearby lake so I look forward to making cards for them. Scott, I continue to be one of your biggest fans, thank you.
Sophie!! How great to hear from you! Thank you so much! It really means a lot to me! Thanks for sticking with me all this time...! It is always good to hear from you! I ended up having more fun with this kit than I thought I would...! Bless you, Sophie!! Sending you big crafty hugs!! 😊
Well done Scott.....great cards that you made with this month kit...it is always a pleasure seeing them all...I especially like your double slider cards both of them turned out fantastic...thanks for sharing.
Great job Scott again! you really outdid yourself with all the different cards. Loved the interactive ones. Too fussy for me to make but I loved what you did on the last card and the birthday card. I do have to say that you did get me with the ponds have more fun...felt sort of dimmed witted when I figured out what it meant. LOL Loved all the other techniques you used especially the reflection onto the lake. Reminds me of our lake at night up north. Again another winner for you. Thanks for sharing.
Another great month of cards! Another kit I wish I could buy. There are stamps though... separated into 3 rather than the one, making it all far more expensive. I have a sister who lives year-round in a fifth-wheel at a lake in BC... and my dream home is a big house at the lake. So yeah... I agree completely with the sentiment "life is better at the lake". - That lake monster would be the "Ogopogo" of Okanagan Valley fame in Canada. It's in Okanagan Lake and has been "spotted" many times over the years. - Your northern lights look much more realistic than the ones on the background that was in one of the more recent kits. Very pretty.
Amazing as always. All the cards are great..... love the ink blending. The interactive cards are so perfect for this set. Thanks for giving us a tutorial. You make them fun and easy. 🤗😍
Hi Scott. You could make a fortune with your home-made water ripple stencil. The effect is fabulous. LOVE your cards and also the fun you get out of sharing the puns with us. I laugh along with you. Your ideas are great - the cards are terrific, the double slider with the girl and the splash is amazing and so clever. Thanks so much for sharing. Am about to look at the show more section to see if I can find the font you are speaking about. I only have an old computer and the fonts that come with that, certainly don't have such a funky script font as the one you use. No guarantees if I can get it on the computer either because technology and me do not get along, hehehehe. Thanks again. Bev from Sydney Australia.
Thank you so much Bev! Great to hear from you! Your encouragement and support is what keeps me inspired! It makes me happy to be able to share some grins and giggles with you! Spread the Cheer!
Fantastic job Scott. I love the double slider cards tutorials. I'll have to come back to refer to those in future products. The Northern Lights card was absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations.
I love your Hero Arts cards! Thank you for the 2 mini tutorials for the double slider cards. I especially like the last card & appreciate knowing that I can adapt your concept to anything after having seen your secrets.
Love your cards, great kit. My favorite is the 3rd one, but love them all. Thank you for explaining and showing how to create the slider mechanism. I needed it. tfs
You are simply brilliant. I can’t wait to see what you come up with each month, and you never disappoint. I especially loved the aurora borealis card...it’s stunning!
Awesome cards! Turning your cut outs up side down to do reflections was a learning curve for me. Thanks for explaining the slider mechanisms. Have a great day!
Oh my gosh! These cards are absolutely fabulous! I really can’t pick out just one that I like, because they are all so wonderful. Thank you for sharing. The interactive cards are wonderful, I never tried them before. Your directions seem pretty simple to follow.
Hey,,, some masculine cards for a change. But I see ou could not resist adding a bit of pink pattern paper to one. These are awesome. So love your interactive cards. Great summer cards!!
LOL! Thank you, Suzanne! Yeah... I think that pattern paper was the only piece I have that really screams BIRTHDAY! 😊 Always good to hear from you! Spread the Cheer!
Loved your creativity with this kit. Thanks for sharing all of the tips and techniques. I haven't tried the embossing powder yet so it's neat to see how it looks. You're the best! All of the cards are awesome. Thanks Scott.
Thank YOU, Georges! Always nice to hear from you! I had more fun with this kit than I thought I would! Always a pleasure to share some smiles and ideas with you! 😄 Spread the Cheer!!
Scott, I’m new to you & your channel, and I just had to subscribe! The cards you made with this kit are phenomenal! Wow! You’ve taken this kit’s potential to a new level! I love how you removed the white outline and made everything look so natural and artistic! I’m so impressed and inspired! Thank you!!
Thank YOU, so much Chris! Welcome to the channel! I hope I can continue to provide a little inspiration and maybe a few grins and giggles as well! I'm just finishing up with the MMH August kit so keep an eye out for that post! Spread the Cheer!!
I don’t know how you keep outdoing yourself, Scott, but you do! I love these cards! I love that you added the tutorials. I can’t even choose a favorite this month! The variety ideas changes my perspective on how to use the kit in a broader way! By the way, I’m a cheap date too! 😂 As always, hugs!
Love all these cards, I haven't tried a slider yet but with your inspiring directions I am going to see it work out. You are the master of slider cards. :)
Hey Scott, great job once again. I’m always excited when you post a video, you always get my creative juices going. The Northern Lights came out perfectly, take it from this Canadian who lives in Northern Ontario you depicted the lights perfectly. Love that hero arts embossing powder, hope they sell it to the public. As always please take good care of yourself.
Kari!! Great to hear from you! Thank you so much - it means a lot to me! Sending you and yours all my best... hope you're not getting battered by the heat as most of us here in the States are..!!! YIKES! Spread the Cheer!! 😊
just fab and thanks for the tutorial on the interactive elements got to give it a go ,thanks for the chuckles and smiles along the way i cannot pick a fave kind regards Janine
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! 👏👏👏👏 U out did yourself Scott. It sounds like u had a great time putting these cards together. It is hard to pick any favorites, so I pick them all. That's a great idea to use fishing line for fishing guys. . I have a fishing guy die cut, so next time I make one, I am going to use your idea of using the real thing. Well Scott, thanks again for your video. Till next time have a great time creating. Have yourself an awesome day! Chow. (I thought u did a suburb job on the Northern lights) 😊👌👏
😄 Thank you Lisa! (I'm not much of a nature girl either!) 😄😄 But I have to admit, I was Boy Scout in my youth...!!! Makes me happy to be able to share some ideas with you!
Thanks Pat!! Always good to hear from you! I managed to make 2 cards today (LFL August kit) and made 3 dozen cookies...!! 😊 Snickerdoodles... mmmmmm!! Bless you, dear!!
Like all your cards but these moving figures are to die for. At my age i’ll Have to look sloooowly again but i am determined. New York?? I have to have the set since we LIVE on a lake in NE WA State. Perfect!!
Thanks so much Cheri! Always appreciated! ahhhhh... life on the lake..!! At least I have good friends I can visit who actually do live on lakes..!!! Spread the Cheer!!!
Fantastic cards! You did a great job. Appreciate your joy... while sharing your ideas. First time I watched you. I subscribed and got a bell notifications.
Thank you, Beverlee!! WELCOME, Welcome!! So glad to have you on board! Always happy to be able to share some grins and giggles (and a few ideas) with you!! Spread the Cheer!!
Thank YOU, Susan! Took some time but I think it was worth it! I need to try some northern lights with pearlescent paints on black watercolor paper...!! HMMMMM....!!! 😊😊
Thanks for the ideas for using die cuts especially on the trees! Using the cut out to make the reflection is genius! How about using glow in the dark embossing powder to make your aurora borealis glow?
Thank YOU, Antoinette! Always appreciated! OOOOOH! I've seen that glow-in-the-dark embossing powder but I don't have any in my stash... YET! 😊 I hadn't thought about that idea!! Hmmmmmm!! 😊 Spread the cheer!!
First off, I just found out about the Hero Arts kit, and am so bummed that so many of these are sold out. I did find this one at a ridiculous price on eBay. And now can’t wait to make stuff with it. So since I just found out about the kit, I just stumbled upon your videos. Thank you sooo much for these. You make such beautiful cards and have given me so many ideas on not just this kit, but other cards too. What do you do with your kits when you are done with them? And when do they mail them out? Do we get a sneak peak before they are mailed? Sorry so many questions. Thanks again. I’m now tuned in to see all your current and past videos.
Thank YOU, Lindi and Welcome welcome!! So glad to have you on board. Sometimes the MMH kits sell out SO FAST - as in this one..! I'm so very pleased that I can share some ideas with you that you can use with other cards...! That's my goal! I started subscribing to kits to build up my stamp stash and satisfy my need for new stuff while keeping a check on my budget..!! SO... I do keep my kits (so far!) Hero Arts releases the MMH kits on the first Monday of the month, and they usually do sneak peeks for a few days prior on their blog. Hope that helps and I look forward to sharing more with you! Spread the Cheer!
I have to comment on your music because I’m guessing you put a lot of thought and time into that as well...I noticed at the end, during the recap of the cards, it all builds to the amazing crescendo just after the final splash comes up! Something tells me that wasn’t just a coincidence! :)
Scott, your cards are brilliant, creative and so very different than everything else others do. I'm curious how you got into this hobby, as well as what you do/did in your career. I just recently watched a few of your videos and have subscribed. I used to work predominantly with men and did a lot of masculine cards. Possibly why I really like yours...not to mention your humor. Thanks for sharing.
Anita! How nice to hear from you! Welcome, welcome! Thank YOU so very much! I work in the theatre - currently administration at a non-profit theatre in NYC, but have done a bit of everything in this biz called "Show"! If I hadn't caught the theatre bug in school I probably would have gone into some sort of graphic design... Been making my own Christmas cards for 20 years and a few years ago I bought a Silhouette Portrait cutting machine and started up-grading all my old Holiday designs... that got me looking on-line at all the videos card-makers were posting. I had never really done any stamping (most of my original cards were computer generated) so I thought a monthly subscription would be a fun (and affordable!) way to explore stamping and the more mainstream card crafting trends. As they say... the rest is history! I always try to think outside the box and come up with fun and unique ways to use the supplies provided in subscription kits. I am having a great time meeting so many fellow crafters and sharing some grins and giggles with everyone, I fear I may be irrevocably addicted! It's folks like you, with all your encouragement and support that truly inspires me! I hope I can keep you entertained and inspired as well! Spread the Cheer! Scott
@@cardcutups1002 Thanks Scott for all that and kudos for 'making it,' or at least surviving through, a career in entertainment. It's such an incredibly tough industry with so many, many talented people, it's really a shame the arts, both visual and performing, aren't valued more in this country. I still have and use my Silhouette Portrait from years ago too. I think I'm among a dying few who even knew that the Portrait was. The whole Cricut cartridges thing never made sense to me, especially with fonts for just about everything and the Portrait could cut those, in a much smaller, more realistic footprint. Anyway, I greatly appreciate how you think outside the box and that's what drew me to your channel. --- When my daughter was in 1st grade (she's now 29), we put her in an after school drama program as a way to make reading fun. Never, ever in our wildest dreams did we think about putting her into acting. Well, she LOVED it. After 5 years of children's theatre, both after school and summers, and hearing from all of them, "she's really good, you should get her on auditions," we finally and reluctantly broke down and did so. After three tiny stints in Canada and here (L.A.) and the end of 8th grade she said she didn't want to do it anymore. Her manager had told all her kids that if you don't "make it" by the time you're 14 or so, work on your craft and try again after 18, because the way the child laws are, they'd just use an adult who looked really young. She took that to heart. But acting gave her so much more than we ever imagined and so many opportunities for personal growth and self-acceptance, as well as acceptance of and respect for others, regardless of social status, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical challenges, different cultures, and on and on. In fact, she owes her career in large part to acting. She was a communications major in college, student Communications Director on campus, and now sells radio advertising and digital media. And at only 28, closed the largest deal in the company's history. I have such deep gratitude and respect for all in entertainment, especially those who think outside the box. ;-) All the best!
@@jalh3 WOW! Truly inspiring! I believe the 'powers that be' don't realize that arts education has SO MUCH MORE to do with with learning / living than simply turning everyone into artists...! sigh...!
