Goldie was originally a big graffiti artist bitd before becoming a dj/producer on the Drum n Bass scene. Also an actor. He still paints regularly to this day.
If you ain’t never been in chases, racked paint, rocked wit multiple crews, beefed wit crews, broke into spots, painted freights, or figured out for yourself which caps work best with what cans.... you can’t call yourself a writer...
No just because someone doesn't have certain experiences doesn't mean they're not something, what if someone is a writer and just decides to do it legal places???
Just an idea, but talk about some of thebmore active graffiti youtube channels, like doke, ghost ea, and all the other gopro users. I have my opinions but id like to hear yours. Sick vid as always! Big ups from colombia.
New York Shade 45 Hip-Hop Radio DJ Kay Slay know as the drama king is in fact the legendary old school writer from the movie style wars Dez or Dezzy Dez from The Fantastic Partners(TFP). Him and TFP TFP dominated the 3 line until the decline of graffiti in the mid to late 80s. It doesn't get any better than that.
got to mention most atari poster in the hey day and board art was designed by lords crew from sj /sf bay. santa cruz skateboards has employed local taggers, suicidal tendancies and most of the dogtown skaters were stright up vandals not artists.
@@kedrshr1mp6 Not trying to be rude, but I dont think it would be possible, the handstyle variates between every person, you can check pinterest or some tutorial in youtube
@@mapachegordo6209 No offense taken, I meant types like, Chisel tip, spray paint, white out. Or just a few general styles you see around like a Two liner, caligraphy etc.
Cool video but lets clariffy, just cuz someone famous do graffiti dosen't mean that evreyone sould do it, unless you really have passion and you know to do good pieces so if you don't its considered vandalism even if on a legal wall or not.
krsone, rza, gza and dirty all wrote in the golden age, not saying they were good but i seen gza do bubble letters in a black book. maybe company flow and blackmoon arent famous enough to county but they deff were writters, safir, hiero, alot of folks came up tagging. there is this lame rapper / vj i cant remember his name but he was from CBS crew.
I can respect like 2 or 3 of these guys. The rest are just clowns we should all point and laugh at. IMO nobody should know about it, even if your famous. IMO when its legal its not graff, its just art
The drummer from the Bad Brains was a writer... Fat Joe was a real writer...he didn't "try" graffiti...Dude was a writer for real.. Action is in S.M.A.R.T crew?? Had no idea.....
Tats and terror squad did not evolve into each other .. they're 2 different crews one being graffiti based (tats) and the other a group of MCs.. TATS was also started in the 80s and TS in the 90s
