Then there’s Mr. Johnson - the guitar becomes an organic extension of him. His is one of the most impressive displays of musical expression I’ve ever witnessed.
@@delv2473 for some reason his music makes me get chills and hell, I'm 68 years old. where he chooses to take a song is scary sometimes. There's no one like him AND no one before him like this either. Just pure blues. God Almighty, he is the best. There, I said it.

I’m so grateful to JJ for changing my life in such a positive way about 27 months ago when I purchased my 3 string shovel guitar. I have finally made it to Delta Blues on the instructional DVD and almost have it down after only really starting to work on it yesterday afternoon. Anyone else remember the days when you'd take the new LP home from the record shop and listen to find your favourite tracks? If you were lucky there'd be at least one that would make you really sit up and take notice and no more than one which was a bit "meh". Approach this video like an LP and it's an absolute corker. Not a single dud. And I have no idea what you're up to in the Robert Johnson one. Did you sprout invisible extra fingers and stretch space-time? How can you fit those notes in and still sound like there's room for more but you've chosen to leave them out? Mastery is always inspring to behold. Thank you, sir.

Played the Box of Wood and Wire for 64 years, and while not quite at yourlevel of execution, I was pretty salty. THEN a minor stroke took the function of my left hand. So now I am in search of "my favorite" guitarist to listen to the rest of my days. You are it I believe. Wonderful slide work! Flawless! KEEP IT UP my friedn!
MS took away my ability to perform as a singer, as well as any guitar playing I'd learned to do. I now live vicariously through other musicians. Justin is one of my favorite guitarists to listen to while I read every Sunday.

You can always tell when Justin is enjoying certain riffs or sections of a song. He grins the most suttle of grins when he's really getting in to it. He's amusing to himself and loves what he's doing. That's the best feeling of them all
It's great to see young players like this embrace the blues. In the right hands the blues is just as vibrant and creative as it was a hundred years ago. I hope this helps inspire other young players to take up this art form.

I've never heard of any of those " famous" songs.... but then a lot of rock Junk I don't listen to -- it's TRASH.. almsot as bad as crap (rap- same thing)... BUT- whatever you play I LOVE HEARING IT your way!!!! It shows how good your talent and technique is-- when someone LOVES to hear you do songs they otherwise would NOT waste time even turning on!!
