Great lesson! Thank you! One of the things that has made me succeed at interviews is answering at a relaxed pace and honestly as much as possible. Of course a well-nourished resume helps enormously, but speaking with humility and truthfully about yourself is a remarkable addition.
incidentally, i find that your video has the subtitle generating by cell phone automatically; due to curiosity, i check the consistency between the subtitles and Annie's speech and surprisingly i find that they are highly consistent. it's revealed that Annie has crystal clear, highly correct, and very fluent speech quality. that's awesome and i appreciate the way she teach.
You are amazing. Your tutorials are very fantastic. I have ESL interview on Thursday, 19th September, 2024 so if you can help me with ten questions and answers on that I will be extremely glad. Thank you once again
I appreciate the kind comments and am pleased you are enjoying my lessons. I would recommend reviewing my lesson library on interviews to help you prepare, www.speakconfidentenglish.com/category/job-interviews-in-english/
This lesson was very useful for me, thank you so much Anne Marie. I’m currently looking for a job as an architect in DC and this lesson brought me an overview of what can I expect. Thanks again. Since approximately one year ago I’ve been watching your videos. These really have helped me a lot to improve my English skills. 💯👌🏼
Hi Annemarie, thank you for your masterclass. I found it very useful. However, I am just an incoming college student and I am preparing for a college interview. I’m having trouble with how am I going to answer confidently those possible questions that will be going to ask to me. English isn’t my first language but I’m willing enough to learn. I’ve been watching your videos on RU-vid and subscribed to your channel. I admire you a lot because you’re helping many students like me that had trouble and difficulties in the English language. I am looking for guides on exactly what to do and how to answer the possible college interview questions. I hope you can help me to reach my dream college and to be more steps ahead of my fellow applicants/candidates. Thank you so much and more power to you.
Thank you. I find the following interview questions a bit uncomfortable: 1) How do you deal with difficult people 2) Insisting on knowing the salary (which is not nice)
Wow, Beth! I'm so happy to know my lessons are helpful. I wish you much success in the interviews. I hope to hear back from you on how the interviews go. 😀
Excellent. Very clear. No matter how many times I watch my anxiety don't go away. Specially interview time. I went three interview already. Teller. I have no luck.
Great video. There seems to be a gap in these employment videos, no one seems to focusing or making videos geared towards parents returning to the work force after raising kids. I wish there were more videos like that.
That was a great lesson. I'm starting now my job as a front office hotel receptionist so I need to practice my English on that topic. your help would be invaluable
Thank you, Nancy, and congratulation on the new job. You can find several lessons on communication skills on my website in the video library, www.speakconfidentenglish.com/category/communication-skills/
I am first time today watching your video. Really awesome 👍 Already I subscribe and that is maybe 2nd case in my life when watching videos from RU-vid. All the best and consider I am one of your viewer and fan.
Liku Nayak . If you let me correct a few mistakes on your sentences. I would say. I love all your lessons. Thanks for helping me to improve my English.
Hi there Claudia, thank you so much for your support and contribution to the community. It is almost underestimated, but still very important what you do by letting us know how to behave and answer some important questions during our job interview. Especially when settled in non-native language. Tomorrow, is my turn to have a job interview in English. It could be the step-forward, and the greatest change in my life I actually need, as well. The question scaring me the most is “What do you think about family and children?” (In all its variations). How can we successfully answer this question? Thank you so much, Ilenia
Hi Illenia, I wasn't sure if this question was addressed to me or someone else. I'm not sure who Claudia might be. As for the question of how to respond to, "What do you think about family and children?" I'd like to say that this question would not be appropriate in an English-speaking interview. This question is about someone's personal life. Is this a question you've encountered in job interviews?
@@Speakconfidentenglish Oh my Gosh, I am so sorry. I must have read the name of someone who commented your video. Sorry for the misunderstanding. However, unfortunately YES. I was asked about my opinion with respect to family and children and, after having being honest and sincere about the matter, I didn't get the job neither a feedback.
Hi Ilenia, I'm terribly sorry to hear you didn't get the job you interviewed for. And I'm quite shocked that someone asked this question in an interview. In the United States such a question would not be allowed. This is a very personal matter. As a result, if someone were to ask me that question in a job interview, I would ask how this was relevant to the job position and my qualifications.
Hello. Annemarie, I will be in an interview during this week. It's going to be for a Supervisor position but the thing here is that I don't know if the interviewer is going to ask me some questions in English. Just let me tell You that at this point I'm still learning How to speak English. I'm on progress day to day and your videos are helping me a lot. Around me unfortunally I don't have enough Friends and Family members that can speak English. My question for you is : Is there any way to talk someone by phone maybe once a week ? Are there a channel ? Regards, Santiago Castillo.
What can you say if you measure your previous achievements on less "mathematical" results? Like HR, or communication consultant, or translator? Thank you.
Thank you I have a job interview tomorrow and your information has been very helpful. I know I will not have this answered b4 my interview but I am sure I am not the only person who has this question. How do you answer a question of why do you want to leave your current job? or Why were you let go from your previous job? In my opinion I have good answers for both but I would like to hear from you because in all honesty, I would rather not have to answer these questions and lying is out of the question.
Hello Angelita, first I wish you much success in your upcoming interview. Secondly, I provide in-depth answers to how to respond to these questions in my Confident Job Interviews course. As you note, lying is out of the question. It is best to be honest about why you're leaving or why you were let go. And to remain positive. Rather than disparage your current/previous company, focus on the results you achieved while there or what you learned.
In the end of the video and interview, there is a question about what question do I have. It is very stimulating such as someone asking you what weakness or problems happened in my history with the aims to insult or bully me to stimulate me to be unhappy or be crazy or angry to mindfulness. But When we all know the framework of the working with what specific or different from different other jobs, we may know what concerns are missing that you have not known. If you know much, you will win. If not, I will say I have no question. Is it really very bad? Always in a market, different companies and different department and people may like you and without necessary to be right and passed for all questions and without any worrying at all if not good in a interview if you choose the correct job adverstising with enough preparation in this informative society with AI or information pooling. As I graduated from the university in HK, I was only a bookworm without knowing all others except what learned from the books in Mathematics. Within the field of knowledge, I may know what the examination will question and what is missing to question. As to the interview questions at work, it brings me a lot of challenges and make me fail all the time. But your video can make me well organizing myself for these years of working. It is a good show and lesson honesty in a warm heartfully dialogue without necessary to any negativity with matching honesty to reflect the real society in darkness in some not valuable or mismatching company interview. Finally I have the idea that if you failed in a interview, it does not mean it is bad. And maybe you can find a correct company with your healthy life as like you can find Mr. Right or Mrs. Right for your remaining years and beautiful life without urgent and no failure at all in the world if you do not care when you do your best or affords valuably with only need one star to know you as everything enough. Go on and remember without losing your things by yourself and keep it up for later brillant moment waiting.
Thanks for the question. This is a topic I cover in-depth inside my Confident Job Interviews Course. You can learn more here: www.speakconfidentenglish.com/confident-job-interview-course/
Hi Rosa! You are not alone. Many of my students have shared the same struggle. In fact, I recently shared a voice training lesson. You can watch the lesson here www.speakconfidentenglish.com/control-your-voice-sound-confident/
Hi, I need your quick help to renegotiate my designation, as I have done with 2 rounds of interview for the Sr. Director position in one of the leading company's in my city, however after two rounds now they have decided to offer only Director position which im not happy..Pls advise how I request interviewer to reinstate the originally offered position of Sr. Director..if they don't, is this a wise decision to not to consider this role at all....in my current company I'm working as a General Manager.
The most difficult questions in job Interviews are they about your citzenshood or your Familie goal. But mostly is the direction about careeries in caritative behaivor intrested, a specially if you are a woman. What will you say if you don't have friend whome helped you with your ideas?
*Why do you want the job* in my opinion 👇 I have been working in this field for 3 years and have been part of several projects. My current company is as good as your company, but due to some unacceptable atmosphere I decided to resign from that company. I am looking forward to apply in your company if there are any openings. Let me know if there are any grammatical mistakes i will fix it😊
That's a great topic to talk about, because a lot of people want to know how is the best way to answer this kind of questions and you always have great things to learn, you have amazing tips. Thank you so much for everything. !God bless you Annemarie❤
You're welcome. Identifying your strengths and learning how to talk about them in a job interview is one of the many in-depth topics in my Confident Jobs Interview Course. You can learn more about it on the website, www.speakconfidentenglish.com/confident-job-interview-course/
Hello Annmarie I was on a job interview last week , one of the question I remember was , What project did I do in my last job , took me by surprise because I perform tasks on a daily , so what is the difference project and task?
Hi Leigh, thanks for the question. There is an important difference. A task is a single piece of work to be done. For example, to send an email to a client. A project is made up of a series of tasks and milestones. For example, a project might be designing a new brand logo for a company. This project would require tasks such as designing a logo draft, editing the draft, sending it to the client, getting feedback, refining the logo, changing the color scheme, resubmitting to the client, etc. I hope this helps.
Annmarie thank you for making these videos. I'll like to suggest that you create an Mtn mobile money account for payment of interesting courses. Not everyone in my country has a bank account. I, for instance, don't have one. Thank you for considering my suggestion.
Good morning Annemarie and thank you again for another job interview lesson. As I told you I'll have a job interview today. I'm going tell you later about that. Wish me luck.
Hello, Teacher How are you I request you to make a video about all the possible type of sentence pattern Formal or casual all types It will help me thinking easily
Thank you for the question. This is something I cover in depth for my students in my Confident Job Interviews course. If you are new to the work force or have been away for some time, it's best to have other experiences you can point to that illustrate your skillsets and abilities.
