They not only have certain days they can’t get married, but they also have to praise their leaders on their special day.
In many cultures, women are either homemakers or breadwinners. But, in North Korea, it seems like the women of this country do both. Sadly, there are still double standards when it comes to gender roles in this secretive country. And because men don’t make a lot of money with their government assigned jobs, women have to take matters into their own hands. But, they still can’t get the respect they deserve, even in their own households.
