Have you ever heard something in a game that you weren't supposed to? Today I'm diving into my top 10 hidden dialogues in video games.
In this week's video I actually visit some classic arcade cabinets in arcades to show off some insane and surprising easter eggs in arcade games.

Davi Shinji Nomura Marzocca and? you can be a player of the game and still see the message on the internet or find out how to get the message via the internet. the message is their in the first place because back in 1994 the internet was still in its infancy. secrets like this got spread only through magazine or word of mouth and actually were secrets. the developers at the time honestly thought only a few people would ever see the message. now days you wont see messages like that however because its pretty much expected that once a secret is discovered it will hit the internet and every one and their grandmas will know about it and see it.

Steven Terry yes and back in 2002 most people still had dial up internet connections and platforms like youtube did not exist yet. the large majority of people still got their gaming news and information from magazines and word of mouth. essentially even when people could use the internet and did not have a dial up internet connection back then it was no different than having access to a gaming magazine since video sharing sites like youtube did not exist yet.

Ah ffs, ok so I know the story behind that first easter egg with Discworld. My dad was a writer on that game, Paul Kidd if you wanna look it up. He didn't think he'd be able to get this egg in, but he thought t'd be hilarious and Eric Idle was super down with the idea, so they managed to sneak it in. I showed him this video and he laughed gleefully. Dad actually put a lot of dumb easter eggs in games he helped design and/or wrote, the most well known one is the "Actually the crowbar snaps in two" bit from Nightshade; Claws of Sutekh that Jontron made internet famous.

Pokemon Theory: the girl was hurt and her sibling was told to go to some hangout spot and wait for help and she died later (I’m assuming murder) and the line “ no, you are not the one” was her waiting for her sibling and the sibling was also murdered and she is waiting for her sibling, but that day will never come since he moved on to the next life.

For the Arkham city Easter egg, where calendar man says he’ll be there at your end, he actually did it. In Arkham knight, at the very end of the game where Batman blows himself up, calendar man can be seen in the crowd.

I've actually triggered the Broken Sword one during my first playthrough. If a game allows me to turn on a sink, I usually just leave it on hahaha. Really enjoyed how the game showed me the consequence for my careless action.

I think there is actually a third easter egg involving the "ghost girl" in Pokemon X and Y. I found it a while ago so I don't remember everything but I think its in Lumiose station, there is an NPC you can talk to. Now mind you I'm not 100% on anything so I can't remember if she's in view or hidden but the NPC's dialogue says something along the lines of "No, don't talk. If you talk, I won't be able to hear the elevator." I don't know where in Lumiose station she was or if she was even in Lumiose station, but I thought I'd share this. If any else found this or finds this, let me know about it to see how close I was. Thanks.

@@RF-Ataraxia That's actually an NPC you can find in the Lumiose Hotel. I don't remember which floor, but it's another Hex Maniac just like the ghost girl, and she's in one of the rooms next to the wall that's connected to the elevator.

Not sure if this is an Easter Egg, but in Pokémon Yellow, if you try to enter the Safari Zone with no money, they'll let you in for free after a while.

Tv Tropes refers to that as Developer Foresight. It's an absolute worse case scenario fail-safe to prevent a softlock, as the Strength HM and Surf HM are both required to beat the game, considering the design of the Indigo Plateu and Victory Road. These two HM's both require respective measures within the Safari Zone.

And having some experience with the more technical aspects, that didn't look like floating to me. That looked like they forgot to set her movement animation. If I wanted to make a character float, I'd make it more obvious, especially with a long haired girl. Her hair would definitely be moving as she floated. But she's just frozen, no movement at all. That screams "animation glitch" to me, not "spoopy floating ghost girl".

There's also a few more test chambers throughout both games that have unique dialogue for when you get yourself stuck. Pretty great attention to detail on Valve's part.

I like that the Portal devs not only realized it was possible to get yourself stuck in the energy ball catcher thing, but they actually turned it into a game mechanic. They put one of the radios required for you to reach for part of the Transmission Received achievement in the one shown in the video. They also made it so that _by far_ the easiest way to get the energy ball into another catcher later in the game is to get yourself stuck, as the door just stays open so you can leave (instead of the floor dropping and a door on the side opening, like with the first one), instead of closing on a timer.

Wow, Backyard Baseball brings back many memories. I remember there was a glitch within the game where with Tony and Angela Delvecchio, two of the slowest runners in the game. It had to do with the order of picking the players during the part where you choose your lineups. Angela or Tony would then become the fastest player in the game, even faster than Pete wheeler.

In Megalomania, a 1991 RTS-lite game by Sensible Software, it was common to make alliances with your enemies in order to take down bigger enemies. Once you make the proposal, they respond via recorded dialogue with a yes or no. One particular character in game says 'No way', but if you ripped the file off the disc and played it in full it said 'No way, shithead'.

Idk if it counts but I once played a physical copy of Pokemon FireRed (I did buy it used, but there was no indication it was a bootleg at all - I examined it thoroughly) and got the hidden piracy dialogue. It's supposed to only appear if the game is pirated. Scared the shit out of me as a kid. I don't remember the exact wording but I think some sailor physically threatens you.

In Arkham City, there was also some radio channels in the game that you could access by tuning into very specific channels (but findable by just scrolling through the whole thing) that were code from Scarecrow, hinting at his involvement in the final game.

Idk what Pokemon game to be specific but in an old GBA game wherein lavender town exist there's a girl who will tell you a story about ghost and would eventually ask you what's the invisible hand doing on your shoulder. (I'm guessing its Ruby and Emerald Red and Green)

7:40 that happened to me too! But I didn't lock myself in that room. I can't quite remember how I did it, but I think I threw some cube to a place, that I couldn't reach. I thought everybody would get those voice lines somewhen, when they're stuck. You don't have to actually time anything, you just have to be stupid like me.

In the Pokemon X and Y easter egg (6:07), I think that the "note" or dialoge behind the train terminal is tied to the "No, you're not the one" dialog. Maybe you need a certain name or something? Since behind the train terminal it appears that she's "seeking for help".

The Portal one can also happen in other chambers with different dialogue from GLadOS. The Xbox Live Arcade version known as Portal: Still Alive actually has an achievement called "Like A Rat" for trapping yourself which is absent from the Steam version of the Xbox 360 Orange Box.
