@@kathyburks1530 Sorry if references are frowned upon in this channel, if so please delete or let me know and I'll remove it. But I've seen him use Baker Creek/Rareseeds and I've now ordered most of my seed from them 3 years in a row now. I've had great results and I've been able to reuse their seeds from last year this summer and the plants are growing strong! So they don't seem to have a genetically modified killswitch in them which is always nice. I know James uses a few other seed vendors but I'm not remembering the names

I planted 1 cucumber plant last year for the first time. I must have had 20-30 generously sized cucumbers. We had refrigerator pickles all summer long and they were delicious. If you're uncertain if you want these in your garden, just grow one. Once you taste how refreshing they can be during the hot summer days, you'll grow them again and again. 💕

How do you manage to harvest so many cucumbers in one plant? Mine died after 6 weeks of harvest or died by early August. I used to grow till late September. Not sure what happened the leaves were getting yellow spots & died. Any suggestions?

You know James (if I may call you by your first name? haha), you are not just a great gardener, you would make a great teacher, about gardening and farming. I can see you AND TUCK! visiting grade schools and teaching the kids, who often don't like vegetables, about how good they really are along with the joy and importance of gardening or farming and growing one's own food. I mean even Tuck, a dog, loves his vegetables! Kids would love you both and learn so much, and maybe become one of America's future farmers. I don't know why, but that just popped in my brain as I was watching and listening. God bless you both. ❤❤❤ for the BOSS!

Mr Tucker is so cute and helpful. I live in an efficiency apartment 455 sq ft and my backyard area is relatively decent in size and my fur baby Angel loves helping me. I'm unfortunately moving out at the end of July and so whatever I have is in containers. Even though I don't have much time to do much as I'll be moving, I'm still going to try sowing some seeds and see what happens. I live in Bryan Texas so our growing season is long. I won't be discouraged. Sow the seeds and deal with the future as it comes. Happy growing everyone. I will be happy that one day I can have a real growing area.

Love your show. I first came across you when you were interviewing with The Millenial Gardener on his channel recently.I wish, though, some of your suggestions could help those of us who garden in more extreme climates in the country. I live in Oklahoma and have been gardening now for 25 years. Now that I am retired, I am devoting more time to my garden. It can be quite challenging to grow fruits and vegetables in our area due to the high winds, torrential rain storms in the spring, and our hot summers. We do have a long fall to grow in which is nice. Thanks for sharing your gardening expertise. Just love all things garden! Linda😊

Yes earwigs have been terrible, I also use the diatomaceous earth, you won't see results quickly but it does work
