I don't want to be negative but he does have a Mother don't know about a father involved in his life but if she has worked extremely hard at making her life safe and secure for Callen then she is his Mother. Yes Joe is his Hero for sure. Kellen is such a wonderful young man and has changed and grown so much with y'all. You can tell he loves helping and being part of a loving family. I sure hope he gets to stay.
Callen looks so much healthier after spending time you all, It is easy to tell he is more active and has slimmed down and very involved with your family. I hope he continues to stay at least off and on through the years.
I totally agree. He has had a height growth spurt, plus All those outdoor activities have helped him slim down and get stronger. He definitely has benefited being a part of the family… his face is glowing 😊

I vote for Joe to contract out building his shop shell. He can work on the inside during the winter. He (y’all) need a warm dry place to work in the cold. I look forward to your videos every week & I’m thrilled to see a bonus one pop up occasionally.
I can totally understand Kellan’s enthusiasm about hanging out with Joe. He used to be cooped up in an appartement with mom & grandma, now he gets to be doing outdoor stuff. Building a homestead can be fun for a young boy & being around all that quiet testosterone is appealing to a young boy. It makes him feel strong and macho to shovel dirt… why let Joe have all the fun when he’s capable of shoveling too.😂😂😂

have a good one for you, one of my professors in pharmacy school bought some sheep, the purpose was to keep his ground from overgrowing, one day he noticed they were dirty, and he bathed and used detergent to clean them. in a little while it rained, and rained, and the sheep got cold and all died on him. being a pharmacy professor he understood why, the lanolin in their wool kept them dry, as it shed the water, and this is a true story.

You can tell Joe loves his family and what he does. I know it seems like work to people watching but he does the stuff for the love of his family. I think Joe is just an amazing husband,father, and whatever else you want to call him but one thing for sure is he is a wonderful person. At first when I saw the plywood I thought that was inside the shelterLogic, then I realized it was the trailer. Love how Kallen is an attentive helper. Awesome for Tina to verbalize that to him also!
Looks great! You could consider mounting hooks for rolled tarps around feeder if snows blow. We found two sides were a problem in our case. Staking did the trick on the backside and cording off half way down on the side..easy to remove once spring arrived. Good you have land further away from home to dress sheep. Assuming you have bears. Have you seen any Lynx?
Kellan is learning valuable lessons from papa Joe. These are life tools that will impact him for the rest of his life. Some day he will look back and see God’s mighty hand upon him. Enjoy your videos as you build your homestead. You should consider putting wood chips under the hay feeder and at the entrance to the sheep shed. That should help reduce the mud while also cleaning up the tree limbs in the pasture.
