Edit: Ok fine. I understand Taekwondo can be useful but most Taekwondo practitioners only do the newer Taekwondo style. I didn’t mean to offend anyone ok? I was just using it as an example for the top comment. Also, I was talking about the new Sport Taekwondo style ok. It’s just a misunderstanding sorry for the inconvenience. I will change my example to Capoeira being flashy but useless.
@@MarcossquishysI've trained in taekwondo for a very long time, recently I've been doing MMA but my kicks are much stronger than most of the other people's kicks on the class
Lesson 1: kung fu is NOT a martial art, it means martial art (actually wushu means martial art, kung fu (go gong fu) means skill/dexterity in something).
Kung fu Is an umbrella term for all of the Chinese martial arts. The same way kenjutsu is an umbrella term for all Japanese sword related martial arts excluding iaido and kendo, so technically yes Kung fu is a martial art you just have to be more specific when you say “I train in Kung fu”
Kung-fu - so much moves to learn and master them will take at least 20 years! It's better to choose style and master that style! Takewondo - against untrained will work, but if faced kick-boxer, it's an L every time for takewondo. Judo - good for close contact wrestling, but if faced box or other Marshall Arts that keeps you away from contact, it's usless. A lot of good chokes and handbrakeing holds. Karate - trains speed... makes your PP... ops, I mean hands hard. Aikido - unless! Muay Thai - one of the top Marshall Arts out there! Master it will take you at least 10 years! Increases bone density, stamina, and decreases IQ😅 Jiu-jitsu - at least 10 years to master... one of the top performers in the MMA arena. Kendo - turns any stick into wepon 😂 Krav Maga - I've never heard of it! Capoeira - same as the last one!
Very true. If people wants to know what art suit them, its going to be the one they use in a real fight. If youre a martial artist, the arts will just be there naturally without having to think. In a real fight, theres no time to think. I had been involved in a couple of short fights and what came out naturally from me is 60 percent muay thai and 40 percents are whatever when i personally like kung fu more. All martial arts are great. But its not about the art, its the artist.
Being a martial artist and being a fighter are two different things. Most traditional martial arts schools train you to be a martial artist and they usually train either to score points in tournaments or to perform demonstrations doing katas and breaking boards, and a lot of those practitioners can achieve the highest rank in their discipline but never or rarely actually fight or don’t have any fighting record. Fighters fight for living and they train to either finish or dominate their opponents in front of spectators.
Thank you, sparring and competition are essential in learning how to fight. If you can’t properly execute your techniques against a fit, well-trained opponent who is genuinely trying to beat you up, or a partner, who while still fit and well trained, isn’t trying to beat you up, you have no reason to believe you can do so anywhere else.
@@sentientnutsack5197 no who said you that karate come from kungfu in fact most of karate is better then kungfu in actual self-defense I'm martial artist myself just don't believe in videos like this they are totally cap just ask a specialist boxing is the best in street tbh
Replace aikidio with wrestling, replace karate with bjj, and get capoeira the fuck out,and also why isnt mma number 1 its literally The closest to real fighting
"Kung Fu" is a massive umbrella term that covers basically any martial art in history that originated from China. Doesn't really narrow anything down. Even things like Qigong are "Kung Fu"
In my opinion: 1. Lethwei headbuts that can send the nose bones in the brain 2. Boxing a strong cross punch that knocks you down so hard that you hit your head in the concrete and you die 3. Muay Thai/Kickboxing because of strong kicks that knocks you to the ground hitting your head in the concrete again and you die 4. Muay Boran it is meant for killing 5. Krav Maga it is a military matrial art 6. Wrestling/Judo slams to the ground can be deadly 7. Jiujitsu because of chokes 8. Kungfu troat strikes, groin strikes, and palm strikes to the nose that can send your nose bone into your brain again 9. Capoeira 10. Karate
@@chilluxtheduck8023 as a capoeirista capoeira is actually one of the most effective martial arts when it comes to self defence, for example watch a clip of Marcus "lelo" Aurelio beat the living shit out of his opponent in MMA.
@@CooperTheGoosebumpsGuy If you use it in a situation and you control the whole body of your opponent, you can can break a bone or apply pressure somewhere to make your opponent feel a great pain
that is true, but the techniques are all dangerous, thats why excessive meditation and control is neccesary as it could put trauma in ones arm, for example techniques like shihyo nage ( dont know if thats correct or not spelling ) can easily break someones armif you do it incorrectly, my teacher said it doesnt matter if ur in a real oife situation, in a real life situation you are allowed to apply the force and pressure to protect yourself.
@@oompapampa5377 (There is no y) and I feel like a lot of them are dangerous yes, but the more straightforward techniques like Irimi or Ikkyo can be easily used (I used them in a sparring with my Muay Thaï teacher) (he also uses Aïkido but while adding moves to be more easy to perform and way more brutal, like... Aikibudo level of brutality)
Top 3 I would like and don't mind trying out (China, Japan & S. Korea martial arts) since I wanna be prepared for the future in cases I face some threats as not just bullies but robberies or thieves or even killers that'll be aftering my life or some one who holds a grudge on me or others to self defense myself than I be helpless hopeless and unprepared for such things like that
Bro is speaking facts, I got into a street fight with a man who knows Aikido, and now my left leg is broken along with 3 ribs and a broken jaw. I will never mess with a Aikido Practicioner again 😢
For those who don't know. Kungfu was invented for people to defend themselves against ferocious( historic) animals. And why people not including Shaolin Boxing.
@@Dolph_Gamergodyour right I train Karate and I yes get hate for it but it doesn’t really matter to me cause honestly I could beat up those losers any day
Capoeira is not technically a martial art used to punch someone, it is like dancing with some combat style without hitting the opponent, just missing. Im real.
Wdym in silat you can't hit on head and is mostly based on kicks I took silat classes for a year and I will say it is not that usefull in street fighting
@@user-sm1dc3ec7i Bro, Silat is more than that. Silat is divided into two types, namely art and death fighting. In ancient times, Silat was often used by Malay people to kill each other, whether using weapons or not. Silat was rarely seen because most of the original techniques were techniques for paralyzing and killing opponents.
@@user-sm1dc3ec7i Silat is a very effective streetfighting style, with an emphasis on disabling your opponent as quickly as possible. That doesn't mean that you'll never see flashy moves in a class - you will - but they aren't all you'll learn, and they're not just for show.
@@user-sm1dc3ec7i Of course I also learned the martial art of silat, but from where it came from, in Indonesia. There you will be taught basic techniques to deadly techniques, but with one condition, namely that you have to promise not to hurt innocent people with that technique.
