@@lythiustheowl4734 i was crining in the fail part (for me they dont exist) U dont have eny defense with it, with out a shield Edit i have remeberd a Farmer flail FOR FARMING not Warfare if i remebred corectly for beating the crops or something
The flail is actually useless and not very deadly. Sure, the ball may be menacing but it won't actually do much. The Flail was more of entertainment for the king.
"You've now lost your sword, chains gonna wrap around it, he's either gonna yank it out of your hand, break the sword in half, or the flail's gonna smash your hand into pulp." Yeah if I'm a hemophiliac with a sword made out of recycled coke cans and milk bottles.
Poise Xd it would depend on a few things. Yes, the flail is most likely not going to break the sword, unless it was made with poor metal or folded wrong. An example of this is a historical katana used in Japan. These would most likely break, if ever confronted (incredibly unlikely) by a flail. Secondly, depending on positioning and strength, it would be very likely and easy to rip a sword out of someones hands, infact so well it was known quite a bit for this. However, it would be quite terrible against anything with reach such as a spear, and you may as well lie down and die against a pollaxe.
@@hudosjdicicidi mate flails doesent exist Expect FARMING fail for beating the crops (or somthing) The FARMING Flail is made from Wood and a two hande holdet FARMING TOOL with a the flail neck thing at the end like max 10cm long With a other hard woden Stick at the end
Actually, south Sudan was founded in 2011 and Kosovo in 2008. So... Your completely wrong, also people have lived in the Americas for 50,000 years, and the history and cultures of the Incas, Mayans, and Aztecs , etc, are very interesting. Lastly the shortest book ever was (dubiously) written by Ernest Hemingway, it was 6 words.
And now Search french, italian, german, austrian, polish, russian, indian, persian, greek and chinese history and compare the dates... What do we realise? Before 16th century there is no american history, why? Because Columbus "discovered" America back then
Just a sword can do the flail dosen't really eny defense propeties the neck is not an option (bc its not Hard(dont know Word)) and the handle Well you hold it but the mace has the Same kinda of proplem but the neck is hard(dont know Word)
it could have been a record error or something... He didnt breathe in as he said it,so it was an error in the sistem, i think. i dunno, i aint no expert.
Your hand wouldn't break because you have a clove and then a gauntlet and your sword wouldn't break also a well trained knight would have no problem blocking a flail
The "peasant" farming flail was more lethal and battle proven than the rarely ever used 1 handed flail. The wooden flail was able to whip over shields and smack limbs or heads easily. They caught people off-guard and most farmers knew them well enough. That other flail was just a fancy mace that had no real purpose. Sure, it's dangerous but roughly the same impact as a standard mace. However, you're more likely to get killed with it as there's limited control while being so close to your target. Weapon reach is king in battle.
The culverin is a later updated model of the gun made by the ming dynasty before it was created called human thunder (thought you might wanna know that). It was creates for the soul purpose of the chinese peasent taking china from the mongols. Ming means light. So the name ming dynasty basically represents that the mongols are the darkness and the mings are the light. Fun history lesson for ya Also during the plague the enemies used to fling plagued bodies with a trebuchet (or a catapult. I cant remember)
Flails likely didn't exist, at least not like people imagine. If they did exist they likely had tiny chains measured in inches and were blunt weapons most useful against armored targets.
the Mancatcher is or was a tourter device not a weapon was used mainly to move prisoners who were dangerous safely since had long pole and if the person stuggled the spikes would perice the neck
The flail as we know it was never used in combat (ik u pointed it out but I’m still saying it) the culverin wasn’t used in the Middle Ages. It’s first use was in the 16th century and the Middle Ages ended in around 1485. Everything else tho was fine, good job.
0:39 let just say there's some iron dude knows how to use flail? ohhh god how do you stop them?! that's very dangerous, your sword and shield would gonna fly all over the place, BOOM now your skull is gone!
only 15 minutes into this video and already i see a problem, how to stop a flail: you move the sword forward to stop the ball and kill the momentum of the ball and chain. than with the chain stopped and the ball mostly stationary you go in for the shield punch to the face. flails require a lot of constant motions to work, due to this fact they tend to now hit very hard at all due to the constant strain it puts on the user. stop the flail or slow it down enough and and you might as well hit them with the handle. it isnt that hard to get passed it, it wasnt used all that often because of the impracticality as well as the mace being a much more useful option
How to stop a guy with a flail but the chain wrap-around your sword that way he has no weapon then push him over and stab him In the eye wholes with a dagger.
The Fire Lance. It was an old Chinese weapon from the 10th century. As its name implies, it was a spear. As its name also implies, it was flamethrower. This was a fucking flamethrower spear combo in the 10th century! How could you possibly do better than that!! ITS ALSO A SHOTGUN!! THIS WAS A MOTHER FUCKING SPEAR FLAMETHROWER SHOTGUN!! HOW DOES NO SUPERVILLAIN USE THIS!!
3:07 ah yes, the most efficient way to piss off your town and land yourself on 6 months of debt Just use hot water, taking if simple or just theow rocks of uneccesary stuff down onto them like embers, simplest solution is not to waste money but to get whats easily obtained Most throwable blades are overhyped Crossbows are for the most part very inefficient with this one on a swivel and even with its size would barely compete with a plain longbow Greek fire is cool and all but blackpowder launches itself and easily modified yo burn slower
