Not surprised that I have most of these in my collection. I think once you have smelled enough fragrances, just smelling good is no longer acceptable.😄 I think a lot of the older/discontinued Gucci fragrances fit into this category
This is a video I like, to name fragrances that smell niche and have a novelty of niche fragrances, not fake niche brands copy other s. Good job Justin, it is a fair list. To me, the recent works by Cartier, like l'envol and decleration parfume, and by Hermes and Guerlain have niche characters, more than some superfiial niche brands, who cares if they are designer brands. And with them, you have the signature of the best master perfumers of time and the quality of ingredients behind these brands, these brands with hundreds of years of history would not mess up their reputation with cheap ingredients. Im a huge fan of Cartier l'Envol EDP i tested it and bought it on your recommendation and i simply love it, So classy !!!! This is one of my favorite fall 🍂 and spring 🌱 fragrance. I'a perfect mix of sweetness from honey and freshness from lavender ans violet leaves with Iris . My favorite Cartier with Pasha Parfum 👍
Love your desciptions of the fragrances! As a woman I wear Fahrenheit Le Parfum. It resembles Jil Sanders Simply but stronger. One spray is enough for a full wear. Mens fragrances have so much more lastingpower.
I ordered a decant of Eau Sauvage Parfum recently. Beautiful fragrance. Perfect for the office, or even just to wear casually. Very enjoyable to wear. There will be a full bottle in my future.
Sur le nil is my summer go to. I love the fragrance. The green mango reminds me of the Caribbean. I think the perfumer wrote a book about how he created it. This takes me to a place. Masterpiece! I also have or encens. Beautiful! It pops up from time to time on fragrancebuy. I would also recommend ambre noire from issey Miyake but again difficult to find.
Allways fun to have fragrances in your video which are in my collection as well. In this case i have the prada and the moschino. Most of my collection is niche, but also a designer, even though when my sense of smell has evolved i still holding them because they are very unique and interesting for me. Excelent choises again Justin. Eau Sauvage I wear a lot nowadays. Both the EdT as well as the Parfum. Like you say, they are not alike, but the original DNA does continue in the Parfum. You can have both or just one of them, but I personaly keep both in my collection standing side by side doing their own thing on my skin. Funny thing is; when people come to my place and smell both of the bottles they like the Parfum more, but on skin they like the EdT more, but just by a bit.
Wonderful choices. Toy Boy is such a unique fragrance. I've kind of grown addicted to it lately... now that I look at my perfume journal, I've worn it 23 times since last Spring. People do say I smell like rose a lot. Signature scent it might be indeed! :)
One of my fav designers that has a niche profile is Mm Jazz club :), i recently wore it to a jazz performance with the original chet baker band, including john engels, legendary drummer who is now 88 and arrived with a walking stick, then continued on playing perfectly in the pocket, doing solos w his hands. It was a beautiful harmony of my two favorite worlds. Needles to say it made me think of this channel. Great video bro :)💯

I have the 2012 ES Parfum and wow, it's one of the best of all time. Fahrenheit Le Parfum reminds me of Hommage à l'Homme Eau de Toilette Lalique. Ombre Noir is in my top 10. Incredible picks Justin.
Lenvol edt smells good. So im pretty sure that EDP would too. Not a given but Cartier really delivers on their releases. Also, declaration is a classic but i actually own the Soir flanker which i think is also a niche level rose scent as you mentioned in your 1st installation of this series
Your description of Lalique Ombre Noire is very much so on the money. I love that fragrance and can’t wait to bring it back out. I’ve been considering Fahrenheit Parfum and Toy Boy recently. I like the original Fahrenheit so the Parfum may be no brainer. My sister recently recommended Toy Boy to me.
I've got 3 of these so far (Eau Sauvage 2017, L'Envol EDP * maybe my favourite Cartier * & Amber Pour Homme Intense). I definitely need to Declaration Parfum & try to get my nose on Ombre Noire. Great content as always, Justin
Issey Miyake does this category decently also, Pulse of the Night is another one, I'm glad you included Toy Boy, I blind bought it, struggled for 6 months to understand it , one on a warm evening, it just opened up and wowed me, since then, its in my top 5 most unique designers together Narciso Rodriguez edt

The most recent one I was able to track down for a good price is D&G The One Luminous Night is an exclusive release. To me it definitely is Niche quality. The note of date really stands out and the incense.
Scents are scents whether it’s from a designer or a niché company. Just bcuz it comes from a niché company doesn’t make it better. That’s why I respect JC and this channel bcuz he keeps it real
I have all but the Un Jardin Sur Le Nil, thank you, I'll have to check that out. I picked up Ombre Noire right around early Spring and sadly only wore it once. I look forward to wearing it this Fall, it smells great. I'm hoping Issey Miyake brings us something on the level of Or Encens, Pulse Of The Night (favorite of all time) Noir Ambre/Argent etc. this Fall/Winter. It's been awhile and for the first time in years we didn't get a special edition Summer fragrance. They're under new direction since Issey Miyake passed, so far I haven't seen much. Not only does Prada Amber Intense smell niche, it’s also a great flanker of the original. They don’t smell similar to my nose, yet it seems like the nighttime counterpart of the original’s more daytime sensibilities. Like you said, it has such dark qualities while still giving a clean classy vibe. Original is fantastic as well imo.

Here is a designer house worth looking into... The Assignment. Newest release is "100k On The Way". Its all about the performance & Longevity, not of the scent but of the wearer.
I don't buy cologne, and fragrances solemly for compliments because it's my opinion that comes first, and foremost. It's a must that I desire the fragrance first, or I will show no interest, and waste no money purchasing; especially if it's a blind buy. I consider all compliments as my second opinion that confirms, and validates yet still my opinion why I chose to purchase a fragrance.
I mean yeah technically.....it's a Designer fragrance by the most literal of terms but it's more like.....descriptor vs belonging. If that makes sense. It BELONGS to a Designer but it feels and smells like a niche fragrance for the reasons you've used in previous videos on this topic. That being said...I totally agree with making that distinction. It adds a bit more to the decision making process when I hear how you describe and classify each individual fragrance instead of blanketing it.
I'm personally a bit more partial towards Un Jardin en Méditerranée rather than Sur le Nil, but in both cases I think Hermes nailed evoking those relaxed day during a summer vacation memories.
Agree with L'Envol. Its soo good. Bought it 2yrs ago and I thought it was going to be light... I was wrong. Didn't buy Un Jardin Sur Le Nil, but I got the Le Toit version. Its ok. Gonna test it out this week. Got Toy Boy and I wasn't impressed.
I've just bought Fahrenheit Le Parfum (though I've not opened it yet, so I can still return it) - seen a couple of people including you say you need to dress up to do it justice. I'm wondering if I've bought the wrong frangrance because my wardrobe is predominantly casual... Will I seem odd if I wear this with casual clothes? I tried it once and just enjoyed it so much, thought to myself, that is a PROPER frangrance...
Such a shame Cartier discontinued their Eau De Cartier fragrance. I LOVE that scent. I have half a bottle left and I don’t plan on using it up anytime soon
I personally would include the OG Dior Fahrenheit EDT, Mugler A*Men, YSL M7 (Oud Absolu), Tom Ford Tuscan Leather (Intense), and a bunch of others too... maybe you need a part 3... 😅
Noire Ambre was getting all the hype a while ago, but I think Or Encens beats it hands down. Shades of Kolam is really interesting too. My "niche" designer tips would be the original Chanel Égoïste (not Platinum, BVLGARI Man Terrar Essence, Aramis Havana and Davidoff Zino.All classy and all pretty unique in my limited experience
Nothing wrong with liking and having mainstream scents in your collection like when you want to wear a fragrance going to the supermarket etc or after a shower around the house without wearing your more high end stuff. They just get boring after while especially after getting more "Niche Smelling" stuff.

@@stayfreshproductions Tina Chow drew my attention to this. I loved her sense of style and her jewelry. I think it was the citrus that drew me. I got my hands on Jicky around this time too. This was the first time the masculine and feminine lines were blurred for me. I totally ignore the designations now. I pay attention to the perfumer and the notes.
I think that people who claim you dislike basic fragrances misconstrue a particular argument. From what I've seen on the channel, you think that fragrance should not be solely about getting compliments. And I agree; if someone dons a fragrance and that must lead to others doing something (such as giving compliments) the act of wearing a fragrance is basically invasive and robbing others of their freedom (because they are robbed of the choice of whether or not to compliment) and I find that evil. It's not tyrant-level evil. Or not even shoplifter-level evil. But for others it might just be easier to twist your argument than face themselves.
An interesting list. So sad to see non mainstream interesting scents fall victim of shelf space for stuff that sells a tad better yet is so much less inspiring. Sigh.
Basic Fragragrances vs Niche Fragrances. Good mercy. Enough already. TomAtoe TomOtoe. Why should we disagree about our differences? You like what you like, and I like what I like. There is no one size fit all. No one should be called a snob because of there preferences. This behavior is rude, inconsiderate, ignorant, and an act of bullying; which should not be tolerated. As a matter of fact, we can enjoy them all; if we don't first have to seek approval from the people that disagree with your opinion. This is why opinions don't really matter. I have seen many videos that group and review each category; whether it be basic, or the more favorable niche.
