They showed Agumon to Tyrannomon, but the Tyrannomon could go to any of Three ultimates. There were also two Ultra levels in the route, even beyond the Mega slots. Thoughts on those possibilities?

uhm, you got some wrong. Majiramon is most frequently linked to Flamedramon, Sinduramon to Swanmon, Opossumon is usually considered the pre-evo to Makuramon, while Khumbiramon got Prairemon. Gargoylemon was never connected to Majiramon and the Toucanmon to Sinduramon technically never happened either, but I do agree Opossumon and Sepikmon as pre-forms for Khumbiramon and Makuramon would be more fitting.

I'm fairly certain Majiramon's Armor Pre-Evo is meant to be Coatlmon, given that it and neither Gargoylemon or Flamedramon were among the Three Heralds Majiramon brought in the recent Ghost Game Episode featuring it - Coatlmon (or maybe Quetzalmon to some) being the most Dragon-like among the three.
@@lianaverwood9810 nope, Flamedramon is still most frequently used. constant first pre-evolution option in all Majiramon cards + used as it's champion in ReArise. Coatlmon was only a b-option in one of the cards and that Ghost Game appearance is hardly an implication for it's evolution. that said, i do still prefer Airdramon myself, which the new card game seems to be pushing for indirectly.
Even tho I agree on the Goromon situation, given how the whole Gotsumon line is just like more Gotsumon but bigger, it would be really funny if the in-training for the line were to be another Gotsumon but way smaller. Or just the an unatached Gotsumon head.
Cyberdramon belongs in the D-brigade more than Tankdramon in my opinion, not as a front line fighter but almost like a chrysalis type of thing where a sealsdramon went through experiments to enhance their body sorta like Captain American to become Cyberdramon, eventually losing their "digimanity" and logic to become Darkdramon
So glad Cyberdramon and Darkdramon were mentioned always thought they fit much better together than Justimon and Tankdramon respectively. As a side note I think Gundramon would be a good fit as a Tankdramon evolution
I feel like Dekerdramon fits more for Tankdramon's mega. They are both military themed and also have treads and tankdramon looks like its about to transition to a quadruped.
I find the connection between Cyberdramon and Darkdramon really interesting, because even though Darkdramon's description says that it is a Tankdramon that recovered and digivolved, it's also wild and untamed, just like Cyberdramon, so they could match quite well

Considering that I thought the greyed out ShineGreymon was actually Gundramon in th thumbnail, I’m going to say RiseGreymon digivolving into Gundramon would be awesome! (Not sure if that’s already a thing though) Also unsure if they’re already part of a digivolution line or not, but Astamon would make a great Ultimate for Beelzemon!
Astamon typically becomes the Demon Lord Belphemon, but I agree that Beelzemon is a much better Mega. Even if as an alternate Mega, it is more fitting with Astamon's theme. Infact when he mentioned Astamon I immediately thought he was going to mention it as Beelzemon's Ultimate instead of an Ultimate for Dobermon.
I like that idea of Arkadimon Ultimate and Infermon fusing in Parallelmon. Feels fitting to have horrible and horrible make even more horrible. Also I feel Gogmamon, while still not outright stated, would be a very fitting Ultimate for Blastmon. Like it really feels like they intended for it to be his Ultimate, but have yet to make a link for it.
I will forever love the idea of Examon being an alternate digivolution for Guilmon. I absolutely love Gallantmon (it and Guilmon are my favorite digimon) but Examon is my 2nd favorite and the fact that Examon also has its own lance and is also a Royal Knight just feels like it could work lol
Unpopular opinion: Magnadramon is the better mega form for Gatomon and in that evolution line, Angewomon sticks out. Nyaromon, Salamon, Gatomon and Magnadramon are all beast/animal-like Digmon, meanwhile Angemon just randomly is a human and breaks the whole beast theme of the evolution line (Yes I know it keeps the holy/angel theme but there's gotta be an ultimate level holy beast that fits right between Gatomon and Magnadramon).
Man, glad someone points out the Gaossmon and Greymon2010 connection. When Xros Wars came out, it always felt very dissjointed how it casted aside the traditional Level System from previous seasons, and it wasn't until a few years ago that they confirmed the actual Levels for the new Digimon introduced then. One thing I wished we got animated for Xros Wars that was in its manga is Shoutmon EX6 (and ofc have JaegerDorulumon, AlturBallistamon and RaptorSparrowmon animated as well)
in my play through of hacker’s memory, I used Agumon black to Tankmon to Gigadramon then Darkdramon. It works so well if you imagine Tankmon having the same color skin as the rest of the line but I really loved how it all fit!
I am having some serious Mandela Effect right now. I could have sworn Darkdramon digivolved from Cyberdramon in Dawn and Dusk and the Data Squad Game. But lo, no such thing!
first a thank you for the gaossmon mention. i had that thought a while ago and to see it here is nice. i even think gaossmon could evolve to allomon for the same blue color and maybe behavior. the cyberdamon and darkdramon pairing really works if you look at strikedramon.
Honestly I've always liked to slot in Cyberdramon into the D-brigade line as a sort of alternate evo for Sealsdramon. it really is the perfect bridge to Darkdramon to me.
Tyilinmon should be the perfect level for Pegasusmon, keeping the main idea of Sacred Beasts, and also a digievolution line based on horses. That way: Patamon -> Pegasusmon -> Tyilinmon -> Sleipmon
One that is also weird that it normally does not happen is Gargomon to Manticoremon. I mean, how many white demon beasts with angelic features we have to spare, it works so well! I love it to my non-cannon personal evolution line: tsukaimon - gargomon - manticoremon - dynasmon (just a matter of time to gargomon comes out as a lv 4 yellow in the card game haha) Edit: Also, subscribed!
I see what you mean about Splashmon and the dark generals. It would be cool if they could be incorporated as corrupted/purified forms or something for the hybrid digimon like Koichi has but unfortunately splashmon seems to be the most obvious example and the others don't seem to work as well
Grademon also works beautifully from both Gladimon AND Yakshamon. And gladi-grade even has a fun alliteration in their japanese pronunciation ("guradi" and "gurade" -mon
The funny thing is cyberdramon and darkdramon being evolutions is something I like as well only having it be the ultimate instead of tankdramon. Like I get it, it's suppose to be a heavily armored tank dragon that fits the military themes but it's a tank in a line of dragon like bipedal creatures. Cyberdramon fits as the ultimate being more dragon less dinosaur and also it's color is very similar to sealsdramon.
coming back to this, one evolutionary connection I've always loved is Otamamon to Thunderballmon. Thunderballmon shares the same color and both have similar over developed forearms and round eye shapes. The lore also supports this; Otamamon's profile goes over how it's extremely prone to mutations and Thunderballmon is a "Mutant" type digimon. More interestingly, Otamamon X's profile states that PrinceMamemon (X?) was the one who gave Otamamon X its crown and royal attitude and even taught it its signature move Smiley Warhead. Despite all this, I'm really amazed that neither Otamamon nor Otamamon X have ever evolved into Thunderballmon or one of the Mamemons before. It's a connection that just feels like it writes itself from what we know
For me it's Mikemon to Bastemon. Both debuted in the first card game next to each other but never actually evolved into each other till Digimon Masters and was barely seen since. The same for Targetmon and Gokumon in the 2010 Jintrix card game but it never actually appeared anywhere else except the Pendulum 20th where he at least got Etemon finally. (Its a tiny pink Etemon thing lol) There was a silver Sakuyamon recolour for the Mutant Sakuyamon in Links that matches Kyuubimon Silver and Taomon Silver too but never evolved from it. And Vulturemon looks like a good Aquilamon evolution (both live in the desert.)
honestly, a greymon having a linked digivolution that's not an agumon sounds kinda interesting to me. It gives me similar vibes as gioumon being a greymon subspecies
Love the shoutout to Darkdramon. He's a lowkey fave of mine. In particular, the weird line of Guilmon > Mekanorimon > Gigadramon > Darkdramon (and maybe on to Chaosmon or even UltimateChaosmon). I just find Guilmon > Mekanorimon to be an oddly fitting alternate line, and then Gigadramon and Darkdramon are both faves of mine.
I would love to see you do a video where the digimentals of Darkness and desire and Guts and vanity could be used to Digiarmor digivolve and even have good versions of the Digimon and evil version showing the corrupted version of the Digimon and the uncorrupted version maybe do the same thing for the rest of the digimentals as well and I mean corrupted versions of the digimentals

Astamon would be a good Dobermon evo but I thought its "main" line usually had it evolve from Porcupamon and into Belphemon. Off the top of my head one digivolution I'd like to see someday is Tempomon to Daipenmon (with Penmon as the Rookie). Hybrids are always a little tricky and I think Daipenmon is more frequently classed as more of an Ultimate but it was a Mega in New Century so it could work as one for Tempomon.
I've always thought Cyber-Darkramon, Parallel-Diablomon, Rapid-Fujinmon and Rize-Blitzgreymon myself too (even making an edited design for the latter), but another is Garudamon fits Hawkmon and Aquilamon more then it does Biyomon and Birdramon: They've all got a sort of native american theme, Garudamon has ornamental red-white feathers the same wayas them, etc. I'd straight up say thayt Garudamon resembles them as much as Weregarurumon and Garurumon do Gabumon. Beyond that, I think Shroudmon fits as a Deathmeramon evolution more then Boltmon or Gankoomon or Beelzemon do: Shroudmon retains both his flame, ghostly/undead, muscular, and chain/biker/punk aspects, wheras the other 3 only retain the undead, buff/fire, and punk aspects seperately.
I think the reason Garudamon wasn't mentioned for Aquilamon is because it IS a relatively common evolution-option for it in games that don't just automatically have it go to Silphymon. I mean, Piyomon-Aquilamon into Garudamon was even the line they followed in Savers, even if Hawkmon is technically missing.
For Shroudmon I can't see it as anything other than a mega for the Shamanmon line. If you compare Shroudmon and Titamon there are way too many similarities, from general body proportions to skulls as armor to even the little eye on the waist armor. Unfortunately there isn't a super visually clear ultimate for this route like Rebellimon is for Titamon, so in the meantime the closest is Asuramon.
@@metacat3106 I definitely agree Shroudmon works well as an Asuramon evolution, since Shroudmon is actually also based on Asura's (The actual Japanese name is romanized as "Shuraudomon", from Shurado which is the JP name for Asura's), but from a design perspective as I said it also really works as a Deathmeramon evolution

I mean, rather than abandoning it likes take it and turns it into an armor (the helmet and the claw stay, so nothing much you could take from metal's mechanical parts). That said it does abandon the missile launcher in the chest and I will never forgive bandai for that

I think dorugoramon works so well as an alternate cannonwisemon mega like dorugoramon even has an alternate mega dexdorugoramon who works really well as a gulus mega like the connection is right there they even share some design elements while the megas in the dim cards share little to none to gammamons evolution line
I love that you included Cyberdramon to Darkdramon, Cyberdramon definitely feels like a better Ultimate for the Commanddramon line. I’ve mentioned this on the Discord Server a while back, but Magnadramon digivolving from Manticoremon makes more sense then having it be part of the Gatomon line, the idea of a mindless demon beast becoming a more sapient holy beast feeling like a more natural progression than the humanoid Angewomon becoming the more bestial Magnadramon
Magnadramon/Holydramon from Manticoremon makes sense thematically, but I don't think it makes sense visually as much. Holydramon has this very lion-like, pink look of course, while Manticoremon is mostly white and just feels like a big carnivorous animal, not very much a lion, and also not much like a dragon. Personally, in terms of already existing Digimon, I like Kyukimon, as this pink, sleek, very feline Digimon, as a bridge from Gatomon more. I remember there being other popular potential picks to smoothen out the transition from Tailmon to Holydramon, but I don't remember which exaclty.
Another evolution line I think would work that doesn't officially exist is snowgoblimon- mojyamon- blizzardmon/ korikkakumon- vikemon, there all bipedal white weapon wielding ice based Digimon, with the exception of snowgoblimon they also all have thick fur while snowgoblimon has a winter coat instead Edit: having just double checked it snowgoblimon is grey not white and it's coat is brown with white fur trim and a matching hat but I still feel it works
The reason I like digivolution with forms that don't resemble each other is because it makes sense in universe. They can collect different kinds of data and become wildly different forms
I've often seen Splashmon as a water/dark evolution to either Garurumon or Gururumon. You can't tell me it's darkness mode couldn't be with those blue stripes.
I feel like Deltamon should be a Veemon evolution, and Deltamon can further evolve into the Kimeramon. I also hope they make a SkullKimeramon and have it reference how, in older times, people would put together dinosaur fossils from different dinosaurs and claim it's a new species (we see this idea manifest in Pokemon with Draco/Arcto/vish/zolt). SkullKimeramon could be the base body to eventually make Machinedramon (as it's also a chimera of sorts). Now, for MarinKimeramon, I feel like it should evolve into Regalecusmon. Also, I think OmegaShoutmon could evolve into Durandamon. Edit: Gaussmon should also evolve into Deckerdramon

I had always presume that Gaossmon digivolved into Greymon from the beginning of seeing them and that it was already official that Gaossmon become Greymon when they digivolved. I was shocked that it wasn't the case.
We really love to create digievolutions for our OCs that are consistent in form and theme. Why Bandai fails to do just that is a testimonial of how many scrapped lines they still have in their drawers waiting to be used on a different season (like the fact about Splashmon being more in tune with Frontier's season than XROS). Many of their prototypes could also be their own digimon line like the one for Agnimon, Lobomon and Kumamon. We can't forget how many digimon made by Japanese fans for Bandai's contests are still waiting to be used too (like how many years Bakumon has waited to bridge the gap between it and Mammothmon?). I tend to agree that Astamon fits the theme of mafia/wild-west like Beelzemon (clearly inspirded after the 1995's movie "Desperado"). Beelzemon doesn't have any in-betweens with Impmon (and no, I don't consider Baalmon to be pre-Beelzemon but more like an evolution of Wizardmon before Wisemon 🥸) and I thought Astamon could fit the place or that some derivate from it, as ALL the Dark Lords needs to have a pre-evolution line (only Belphemon and Lucemon has an entire line whereas the others are just a mix of old non-linear digimon or just completely absent like Beelzemon, Leviamon and Barbamon). I agree about Cyberdramon being before Darkdramon. It's very fitting honestly, but perhaps with a little of change in colours to match Cyberdramon 🤔 I always thought Parallelmon (or whatever is spelled) was just a random mook made to look terrifying as a mix of Infermon and Skullsatamon. Wish they did something else but eh, manga fantasy territory, not much better than a non-curated random digimon doujinshi. I agree Blitzgreymon looks oddly more fitting (even colour wise and with the canons) than Risegreymon. Guess they didn't want to make their final stage to be too much like Machinedramon and more like something more "garuda-esque" in style. 12:11 both had the fins on the back and the same colour scheme, like it was a telegraphed evolution line lol Aye, they took their sweet time to acknowledge this, probably because of Black Agumon and how Blackgreymon is not "black". Cyclomon is still at large but should be Sunarizamon's too 🤔 And honest question, is it me but wasn't Whamon an Ultimate digimon in the past? Either that or my Mandela syndrome is big with this one -- I remember to have evolved a Whamon in my Wonderswan after an Ikkakumon 😕
Salmon also fits as a rookie for dobermom more than labramon ,because both are dogs that wear collars and Salamon is known to dark digivolve into dark digimon such black gatomon and dark knightmon so it makes sense
Gaosmon (don’t remember how to spell it) was shown to be the rookie for 2010 greymon in xros wars I don’t remember if it was a flashback or it was when gold form de-powered but I do remember seeing it
I always felt like Boogeymon and Phelesmon would work well at connecting Impmon to Beelzebumon, but Phelesmon has never been shown to evolve into Beelzebumon

I remember there were a few times when browsing through wikimon where I looked at the evolutions of a Digimon and was like "how come * insert name * isn't listed here"... so many that I don't remember most of them. Personally, in terms of "lines that I feel like they fit better than the actual main-line", one case I like to bring up since it dawned on me is Sunflowmon and Togemon. Those two should swap places. I feel like Togemon works way better as an evolution of Lalamon, having the same "cut out" kind of face (I know, kinda hollow reason), while Sunflowmon I feel fits better for Palmon, again with the similar face, having black beady eayes and visible teeth, but also the general body-type, being a bit more lizard-y and its tail even having thorns. After that, Lilamon and Lilimon are more similar to each other than their previous evolutions anyways, so who comes after doesn't really matter too much imo, but you can even kinda link Lilimon more so to Sunflowmon because Lilimon has a sunflower-motif all over its "clothes". (Ironically, the screenshot of Lilimon from Xros Wars on wikimon even shows it with Sunflowmon in the back, so I guess someone at Toei must've also seen that back then). As for the ones mentioned in this video, I agree with most of those, and while I originally was inclined to agree with Darkdramon, at the same time, now seeing it side by side with Tankdramon, I can kinda see the similarities, like, if you think of the "naked" dragon underneath the cybernetic enhancements, Tankdramon and Darkdramon feel like they could be the same dragon. So the big problem there is really just how little Darkdramons armor resembles Tankdramons. I can still see the connection to Cyberdramon, but I think ultimately, I'd rather see a unique dragon-like evolution for Cyberdramon I think. Parallelmon being an evolution of Infermon/a Jogress of Arkadimon and Infermon definitely feels fitting, it somewhat has that "evil Omegamon"-vibe, but personally, I also always felt like it had some connection to Ghoulmon. Obviously, they're the same level, unless you want to say that Parallelmon should be a Super-Ultimate level, but that might go a bit too far. RizeGreymon going into BlitzGreymon definitely feels better than Blitzgreymon from MetalGreymon or even RizeGreymon into ShineGreymon, since even though ShineGreymon isn't bad, as you said, it's just a shame that the giant gun gets lost, and at the same time, ShineGreymon always felt a bit awkward as an evolution for RizeGreymon for me because its head-shape is just so radically different. Back then, I guess that might've been somewhat of a pattern for the Greymon-family though, to change proportions going into Mega, in WarGreymons case, it's mainly its body that's proportioned more humanoid, which the GeoGreymon-line kinda already did in advance, but instead it's the head that wildly changes proportions. Gaosmon definitely feels like a pretty good pre-existing previous stage of 2010 Greymon, with Gaosmons armless body also feeling like it perfectly leading over into Greymons more realistic T-Rex proportions, and they have a bit of an Agumon -> OG Greymon vibe going on, but... something about it rubs me the wrong way, like something is missing for Gaosmon to be THE previous stage for 2010 Greymon. Maybe it's because Gaosmon were so plentiful in Kirihas army as basically the footsoldiers, equivalent to PawnChessmon in Taikis army. I'd really like to see a protag-like evolution-sequence for Gaosmon into 2010 Greymon though, I feel like that could possibly be very smooth.
I always thought Darkdramon would make a good mega for Arresterdramon superior mode they look similar and It's a shame we've not seen it happen yet. I also think Sparrowmon/Raptorsparrowmon should be linked to Aegisdramon they're both golden flying assault vehicles. Furthermore Aegisdramon dosen't have a connection to metalseadramon however in the TCG Megaseadramon does but yet not Metalseadramon even though it makes a ton of sense
I think Brachiomon could make a good alternative evolution of Greymon as they are both yellow with blue Stripes and be a line we’re Greymon doesn’t get machinery from the Machine Empire and stays beast like.
The most baffling thing about Grademon is that it can digivolve into Durandamon and TigerVespamon (both of which are Duramon digivolutions) AND it comes from Guardromon Gold which can also digivolve into Duramon Although I guess that Guardromon Gold stole this evolution for its own 'canon' digivolution
Something I noticed about cyberdramon and darkdramon.. if you swapped their names between each other wouldn't it kinda fit better? Darkdramon being Cyberdramon for it's cybernetic enhancements and vice versa because Cyberdramon looks like an edgy anti hero that would fit the name "Darkdramon"
Fun fact, in Cyber Sleuth, duramon can digivolve from 3 digimon, 2 of them, raptordramon and guardromon gold, can also digivolve into grademon, the only one who cannot evolve into both is zubaeagermon
For the massive crossover roleplay that I have been doing with some friends for years I have been keeping up with a Digivolution spreadsheet on excel. Some of the ones in this video I also noticed and had did in my Digivolution spreadsheet. Others I added to my spreadsheet thanks to this video. I do still have some that I don't know how I want to put them into the sheet since I am not doing every possible digivolution seen in each media as some made no sense, but I did make not of them as possibilities in those continuities/versions of the worlds.

The part where you talked about Parallelmon being a good potential fusion or Jogress of Arkadiamon and Infermon made me realize that it could've been a DigiXros of the two in Hunters, and the explanation for how Bagramon (the old clock shop owner) was able to bring DigiDestined from past seasons to the Xros Wars universe in the later episodes.
I just remembered if you go through the Digital Monster Ver X there's so many that were clearly intended as evolutions but never happened because they were on different versions of the 3 pets. Like Impmon X to Wizarmon X and Numemon X to Monzaemon X
For me the two I best think of right now is BlitzGreymon as an alternate Wargrowlmon mega as someone else already explained in the comments, but also I think Goldramon(Goddramon) could work as the mega to Shakkoumon. Goldramon already looks more like a proper dna evolution of Angemon and Ankylomon, a yellow and white holy dragon/dinosaur mix and I think the x-antibody version has some armor too, but I also think Shakkoumon being a Shinto idol possibly related to gods becoming a full on God creature makes sense for its line thematically. And Shakkoumon was the biggest of the 02 dna ultimates so it having an even bigger Giant God Dragon for its mega like in Adventure 2020 would be cool too I think
God, I have too many. 😅 I remember making a BUNCH of these when Hunters was airing. I liked their simplified version of Digivolution alot cause levels didn't matter there. So it was pretty easy to make connections between Digimon without having to Warp Digivolve them. Here's a few: Biyomon > Zephyrmon Otamamon > Divermon Raptordramon > Goldramon Falcomon > Karatenmon Kapurimon > Sangloupmon Alraumon > Blossomon Tentomon > BanchoStingmon Cutemon > Piximon Impmon > Jokermon

the one thing that bothered me about kokabuterimon in the cardgame is that it isn't a hyprid like flamemon or strabimon like i get that they did not print it with a search effect like the other two since beetlemon already searches but it could have gotten the hybrid type just because visually it is clearly the same as the other two a rookie for the champion lvl hybrid. Also it would allow ancient to summon it with its on deletion which would be neat.
