Does it make me a dummy, that the first time I fought The End, I didn't even think about having a drawn out sniper battle? I immediately equipped my thermals and hunted him down with a shotgun. Works pretty well honestly. Just follow his foot prints and half the time he wont even notice you're behind him...

I always took out the end at that cut scene. You can actually kill his bird in the beginning of the sniper battle to because it’s right there on a log close to you and you can eat it. Such a good game I’m going to go ahead and play it tonight

In my first bloodborne playthrough, I needed 10 tries to beat BSB but after knowing the Trick I just needed 10 seconds to beat him

I'd put the Werewolf from Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines as an honorary mention. The arena is supposed to be a 5 minute long endurance test, but trapping him between the observatory doors and closing them on his body kills him. It just takes a lot of effort.

Dead Island. Killing the final boss with guns and explosives can take like 20-30 minutes since he can eat so much damage. But if you use Fury you can punch him out in like 30 seconds.

Borderlands 3, using the alchemist with a transformer shield, then swapping to an unforgiven to get 400% crit damage when the shots blow up. Works on every boss basically

I dont think I will ever stop being able to think "What If?" about the original Prey 2. I found the original Prey working at GameStop and someone traded it in and I had no idea what it was, but we were selling it for like 5 bucks, so I figured screw it. It was a good time.

While they weren’t bosses, in Jedi: Fallen Order, I just force pushed all troopers off cliff edges. It was great.

4:27 speaking of Metal Gear Solid I’m playing Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain. Still debating how Tretij would react to guns in his face if we were capturing him instead of Quiet. Wouldn’t want it changed tho bc Quiet is cute, being the clingy, overprotective little sister type (in a different way than Nezuko to Tanjiro).

In Baldurs gate, I remembered i love to spam fireball into the darkness. The enemies can't really react if the player still can't see them.

the last boss of vampire the masquerade: bloodlines, you could defeat him by crouching down and sticking really close to him, that way his attacks didnt hit and you could just spam your attacks on him. there was another boss from the same game that if you player as a tremere, you could just make him vomit his guts out with a spell, wich stunned him, and keep shooting him until he died

Sekiro, Little Nightmares, and Resi 2's boss fights aren't really much of a "dirty trick" since you are *suppose* to use those methods in order to defeat those enemies. With the alligator boss you don't have to *unless* you have enough firepower to cause it to flee but it's so satisfying watching the up part of that gators top mouth and head being blown clean off in the original.

I love the fact The End got first place I remember those days that was Hard.

But Sekiro's Armored Warrior and Demon's Souls' Dragon God "tricks" actually are mechanics that you need to do in order to defeat them. A trick, for example, is going back to the beggining in the fight against Ceaseless Discharge (he can't hit you and you only need a few hits to literally throw him off the cliff) or dodging in diagonal towards to against Lady Butterfly after you hit her, for some reason she will not block you and you can beat her fastly

The Dragon God looks so intimidating and scary at the same time

i loved the fight with the end, yeah it took forever but if you used your sound amplifier you can locate im by the sound of his bird

I learned another trick to beat Psycho Mantis. There are two statues, one on each side of the desk. Just destroy them and it will break his concentration.

Yep. Very first time I caught the end, it took me an hour to beat him because of camouflage.

I literally had no idea that you could roll into the mouth of the Queen Metroid until I saw this video. That boss was so fucking hard and I literally could’ve made it easier on myself lmao

What about the Warrior from Borderlands 2? You can literally just stand with your back to the exit of the arena and none of his attacks can hit you. You can whittle his health down at your leisure. Probably the cheesiest strategy I ever discovered on my own. I think Crawmerax (sp?) from Borderlands also can be cheesed, as you can snipe him from outside his arena. They even joked about it in Borderlands 2.

I know I have seen this in a similar list, but it's one that I used and really loved. The ancient wyvern in Dark Souls 3 is a great ones shot cheese. But a genuinely tough fight if you don't

The Armored Warrior isnt a dirty trick thats legit the only way to bet him lmao, you use the game's mechanic and your brain to win lol

No mention of Chris Walker from Outlast? U lead the Walrider to him & watch him get thrown through a grate by the nano swarm

Having trouble with that giant farting boar in AC Odyssey? Walk up to the fence, replenish all your arrows, change day to night, take one step over the fence and fire arrows as fast as possible at the Boar. He will be asleep in his den. By the time he gets up and walks out, he will be just about out of life.

I guess father Gascoigne could be on this list? Just use the music box his daughter gives to you and he stops in his tracks giving you free hits. He is a rather aggressive boss so this helps alot and is sort of dirty as well.

Another MGS boss that can be a pain is also a sniper. Quiet from The Phantom Pain can be taken out easily by calling in care packages whilst targeting her. They fall on her and knock her out. This is also useful for taking her out non lethally so she can be recruited later.

I have a funny one (Although not bosses but kinda a dirty trick) When liberating outposts in far cry 3 all i did was get my hands on a jeep with a MMG. I just rolled into camp, switched to the gun and cleared the outpost in a matter of seconds. It was so effective it felt like a cheat.

The best is shooting the ends bird that's how he finds you wherever you go then he gets mad and stats shooting all crazy usually its just one shot so you don't know where he was

Disappointed not to see uncharted 2's final boss exploit in here. Basically you can trigger QTEs which deal no damage. So if you get to repeatedly trigger these near a blue exploding thingy, and then shoot it, after a few loops you've beaten the final boss.

MGS5 - Quiet: Normal ways to Beat her: by shooting her with Tranq or Bullets. Dirty Way to beat her: Drop supply boxes on her.

Boss: After i destroy you, I'm gonna devour Me: yeah whatever buddy I'm just doing this for the trophy. I already beat you on all difficulties fair and square.

i equip the gacko camo with the end battle , .. then i hang from a tree, then i wait till he shoots me with a traq dart, i fall, remove the dart, and now i can sneak up on him, since he's now in the same room as me, i usually wait for him to fall asleep, then i hit him with stun weapons or whatever.. it still takes some time, but it beats chasing him around.. i use this method if i want his camo, or his weapon, which can only be obtained from stamina-killing him.. and if i'm too lazy to chase him around the entire forest

I remember the last boss in Wolfenstein The New Order ,if you crouch and hide under the stairs you can shoot him up and have a very easy win

This is a dirty tactic. Micolash from Bloodborne, if you avoid falling into the pit with him then you can span any throwable items to whittle his health down. Most of these is just how you're supposed to fight them with The End being the only legit entry on this list.

About that Prey thing with cutting off enemy hand-weapon and using it against them... Pretty sure Unreal II The Awakening did that first.

Fire giant walking off the cliff in Elden Ring was pretty dirty

Elden ring, keep your distance and spam rock sling. It's good against a number of opponents, they typically land even when you get hit, they have hella range, they can easily nock down opponents the list goes on

Sniper in metal gear solid 4. Hide under the car and wait for a shot... Takes a while but it works. Dragon in kingdom hearts.. Hide in the spikes and make Donald and goofy battle her. All you gotta do is heal

When I was younger, my trick to beating a boss was saving the game, turn off the console, sleep, and try again in the morning. Worked every time.

I think the best way to be the MGS boss is to just leave poisoned food out and wait for him to eat it.

The Wesker thing wasn't a cheat, it was just literally the boss fight mechanics. Edit: The Little Nightmares thing wasn't a cheap trick either. That's just how the game works. The premise of this video is misleading.

MGS the End uses his parrot as a spotter to locate you. To make the fight a lot easier... Shoot the parrot.

lol in RE Village for the boss fight against Lady Dimitrescu, i camp in the tiny rooms in the corners and attack from behind so she can’t do any damage towards me u can also stunlock krauser in RE4 so u can defeat him with a knife

The valheim bosses used to have some ways to cheese them, but I think they were all fixed in the mistlands update.

What about the first dragon boss from Archdragon Peak in Dark Souls 3 that you can literally one-shot by running all the way up to a ledge and jump attack him from above.

I cheesed The Bloody Crow of Cainherst on the stairs of the cathedral and I'm not ashamed to admit it. When he has unlimited teleports and can one shot you with his gun unless you are ridiculously overpowered yourself, his fight is not fun. Maria is a much better version of this fight and I have far more fun fighting her.

I think one of the iconic though is using the ballista's against the Arche Demon in Dragon Age Origins.

How is the final boss from “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” not on here?! It was such a dirty trick to use a small device to essentially skip the final fight of the game. Pretty insane that they included that. I found it on my first run and was like… WTF 😂

A few of these are completely fair ways to fight for example in metal gear switching your controller to a different port just removes the bosses ability to track your movements, all you did was remove the bosses unfair advantage.

Thought this was gonna be about cheezing hard bosses rather than playing the designed mechanics of the encounters.

When Destiny came out and the Vault of Glass raid was new the meta way to beat the Templar and Atheon was to get a bunch of warlocks and have them void bomb and vortex made spam them but Titans could do it as well and being a sunslinger to spam Nades was so much better you could also do it to Crota in the second raid but he was easy enough as is

I'm replaying Cyberpunk on very hard mode and couldn't beat Odo, he kept kicking my butt. On my fourth attempt last night I got lucky, he got stuck on a junk texture and I stood under him and just kept shooting thru the floor. He couldn't touch me. Worked gloriously, although I kinda hate using exploits like that, but It was either that or fail. Now I'm dreading the Smasher fight, not sure how I'll survive that one, it's in a clean room so no junk to get stuck on.

I dont feel as bad doing a lot of these the way I feel bad cheesing bosses like Salazar from RE4. You just have to stand in a corner and only one of his attacks can hit you and it's easy to dodge and happens in a loop lol
