Hi everyone. I know I've covered a number of these stories in an episode on Torture Methods and another episode on Execution Methods, but it's been a few years since I did those. And we've got a lot more people around. Plus I really enjoy covering these types of things. And there's still a number of things in here that I haven't yet covered. So I hope you all - old and new - get some enjoyment and learning out of this episode. Thank you.
Rob Dyke I always learn from your videos, in fact I scare a lot of people cause I learn about serial killers 😂😂 I love these and I'm so excited when you upload ❤️❤️
I love your content, man. Damn you seem to be taking it REAL dark I see lol. One thing I really enjoy is the duality of your channel. That being said, I am really jonesing for a comedy/opinion type of video. Do WWYPTOTI/opinion videos get demonetized as aggressively as the darker stuff? I think you're a genuinely funny dude, and a great orator, so I really look forward to the light hearted funny shit. Anyways, I'm a huge fan and supporter, keep your head up, man. Peaks and valleys, that's life. Peace. #KeepRU-vidCreepy
I once heard one of my friends, who is homosexual, say, I shit you not: “I love the 50’s. The 50’s were great.” Like bruh I don’t know how to tell you this but
I don't care what people say, humans that engaged in stuff like this were animals..regardless of the times. They were no different than serial killers but were allowed to do so by the court of law and punishment.
Yeah... Some of these I was like how the heck is that near the bottom of the list??? You just disemboweled someone and then pulled them apart... What the... frick
The drowning one was quite imaginative for me, I can imagine involuntarily gasping for air whilst in water. It disturbed me actually and I had a small panic attack.
Marth, their torture was WAY worse, the 90s were good and the 2000s are suffering from global warming and lack of energy, soooOoo I guess it was never great.
To think that if I was born at an earlier time, or even just being in the wrong place today, this could have happened to me. It's interesting to think about but it's also scary. To make it worse, I have GAD and Tourette's Syndrome, so if I was in Europe in WW2 I could have been in a concentration camp because if my disorders, or if I was in some other place I could be in a messed up mental asylum. It's interesting yet so awful at the same time. Just think about it, my goodness.
ahhh yes, 2020, the worst torture device of all, not even the virus, but the people. The Karens, the non-mask wearers and, the looters. Can’t wait for this to be in the torture museum
I thought he already uploaded this one... sorry I'm the cunt that hasn't finished the video yet still comments. But seriously I swear I've watched this from him
Just gonna guess most of these have something to do with either genitalia punishment, or having to be forced to watch replays of yourself acting like a cringey back when you were a teenager.
@@Christinebanks11 Oh piss off. No one was even fucking talking about that, shithead. And for the record, they don't. They want to be treated fairly and not discriminated against solely because they're women.
There's an annual thing in my country where people volunteer to get crucified. I had to watch it once when I was a kid and it was scarring. Edit: I forgot to say that they're taken down after a while, so nobody dies. Some people still get their hands and feet nailed, though.
The thing about Jesus' crucifixion (and the others executed by the Romans during that era) was that he wasn't just nailed to the cross. Before that, they flogged him with the cat of nine tails. It's a whip with nine strips and each have glass, nails, etc attached to them. When the Roman soldiers whipped the victims, the nine "tails" would wrap around the torso, and when they ripped it away it would tear the skin open. Often times, the victims would die before they ever hung on the cross, because they were disemboweled while being flogged. Jesus made it through the whipping, and he had to carry his cross up to Golgotha (where he was crucified), at some point though, he collapsed, and the Roman soldiers ordered a man in the crowd named Simon to carry his cross for him (Jesus was like a celebrity in that time, because of all the miracles he performed, and at the time he was crucified it was the Passover, so Jerusalem was packed with people, so there was quite the crowd gathered to watch Jesus being crucified). Once Jesus got to Golgotha, the soldiers hammered a crown of thorns into his scalp (mocking him because he claimed to be the King of the Jews, the Messiah, the Son of God, etc) then they nailed him to the cross. The cross was a terrible form of torture in and of itself, but the victims often went through a ton of shit before the crucifixion even started.
Mel Ortiz I remember watching a documentary with my Grandma that concluded that the traditional cross was innacurate and it was more likely an x shape with a limb on each part of the x, the head was left dangling.
Mel Ortiz and they put a wool robe on him, while he has the open wounds and then teared it apart from him. Opening the flesh. I’m so grateful that Jesus died for my sins I love you Jesus 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️
Scaphism just takes the cake. The rotting tub version adds necrosis to the mix, but I feel like being caught adrift alone in the swamp, waiting for it to devour you, is kinda equally bad.
Jesus Christ Jog on. Just because your shitty 9-5 makes you miserable, that doesn't mean that his enjoyable job is any less "contributory." He doesn't "make 20k~" from his patreon, most of that money goes into making the videos, and paying the people who work for him. You spend your money on movie tickets, cable (or cable like services these days), and DVDs/Blu-rays/digital copies, theme parks, and other forms of entertainment. Last time I checked, those are all "real jobs" and I don't see you complaining about how those entertainers aren't contributing anything to society. He provides the same type of service FOR FREE. His patreon is all volunteered funds, not mandatory, and while he should be making money on his videos, RU-vid has squashed that income. He's an entertainer, just like anyone else in this industry. If you don't like it, go spend some more time at your "real job."
Ashley _애슐리 He is a RU-vid "singer" who was recently arrested after having 2 under age girls make sexually explicit videos of themselves and send them to him to "prove" they were his biggest fans. He had them dance sexually and strip off their clothes. He told them to "make it clap" while continuously saying their age. He would even threaten them that he would have to find someone else to be considered his biggest fan if they didn't immediately go along with it. One girl sent 10 videos and the other 25. Now more underage girls are stepping forward with chat and texts from him demanding the same things.
Jordan Ricketts no worries, in about a year when RU-vid no longer exists, you won't have anyone bitching about RU-vid fucking them over. I mean if your job cut your pay by 80% I am sure you would just let them right? You wouldn't want to try and change it at all? That is why people are speaking out about this so much. RU-vid's bullshit could potentially leave creators homeless, hungry, etc. for rules that are stupid. No news, no politics, no true crime, etc. because it is not advertiser friendly? I guess someone might want to break the news to cable then because they have channels fully dedicated to those subjects.
Because it never actually existed what you see in pictures was a combination of a metal coffin that was found and spikes added after the fact, by the ones who found it. It was never actually used as a torture.
Rob Dyke Eh, I am aware, just getting tired of people complain even before a minute after an upload for attention. I understand that you creators are having a tough time on RU-vid though.
Rob, just a small lesson in physiology. You have enough oxygen in your blood to last over 10 minutes without breathing. It is not the lack of oxygen that kills you when you drown. Its the build up of CO2 that becomes ions of H+, H2CO3 and HCO3-. This changes the pH in your blood. The change of pH in your cerebral fluid is detected by the medulla that triggers the response to breath. If you are unable to regulate your pH, at the pH 6.2, the enzyme ATPase will be denationalised and cells will die all over your body due to lack of energy from ATP.
@@LimeBoy-oo6ph No, I am right. Look back at your notes in animal physiology from university and you will see I am correct. When the CO2 builds up it produces carboxylic acid which lowers the pH. When the pH is lower than 6.4, the ATPase is denatured and the cells die. Also, I could have answered ''Right'', but I'm not a mouth breather like you. I provide complete answers because I know what I'm talking about.
Anybody care to explain wtf is going on in that disturbing photo at 1:20? The context of the video suggests that man was shoved into the hollow tree trunk as a form of torture, but that picture confuses me. For example, what is that thing between the poor corpse's arm and head? Kind of looks like some sort of strange skeleton claw, or perhaps a rib cage? And why is there a non-decomposed raccoon corpse hanging from it? What the hell is going on, there? Definitely keepin' RU-vid creepy on that one, Rob.
I'm surprised Crushing/Pressing isn't on here. (the act of placing large boulders or weights on a person that's strapped down. More weight was added until they would get a confession, or death. Giles Corey from the Salem Witch Trials had this happen to him, all he said to the executioner was "more weight!")
I visited the Museum of Torture in Prague. It was beyond imagination how the human race could be so cruel to come up with these devices. I still have these photos in an SDcard and would one day post them. Horrified but I'm fascinated because I would like to do this to paedophile, rapists, murderers etc...🤔
rob: have you ever been accused of witchcraft? me: shit.... (im from a wiccan family, my mom studies herbs and stones, her bestfriend practices medicine and health. my sister is learning the history and im getting into some practices too)
hi rob loved this video. though there is perhaps some overlap i think you should do a video on interrogation methods specifically. particularly emphasizing the modern ones like sensory deprivation which are really creepy. keep up the good work
reminds me of how at school they talk about drug abuse, when there's only two of them but when there's about a hundred of us with abuse, and injuring themselves, they leave it alone.
