It never fails; every time I think that I should let some of my "old" stuff go, you come up with an inspiration that would give them a brand new look. Loved all of the projects but the old work stool is my favorite conversion this week.
Good morning Sherry ~ Tuesday has officially become “Sherry’s Day “ …. I look forward to Tuesday every week. I have to say my favorite is the old carpenter’s bench/stool/ seat ! LOL!! I love a mix of industrial in my decor and since my Father’s occupation/ trade and business was Contractor, I find myself always drawn to items like that. I think sometimes my heart skips a beat with old tool boxes and wood handled tools …actually old wood in general ! ❤️ How I wish he had allowed me ( a GIRL) to learn how to use his amazing power tools ! But back in the early 60’s , no way was my Mother going to have a GIRL be a carpenter ….LOL!!! You have given me wonderful ideas for decor for a Garden Party Bridal Shower next spring! That wood base cloche with a wood bowl and glass vase topped off the a grapevine ball ! What a nice gift from a subscriber of the pottery items! God bless and I am so thankful God has placed you in our lives ! I’m sure many, many others feel the same way! Such talent and your grace to share it all with us ! 🌻🌼🌻🌼
Good morning, Jayne! I, too, have always been drawn to old wood. I remember perusing through antique malls when I was a young wife wishing I could fill my home with all of that old furniture. I’m so glad I could share an idea for your bridal shower-I’m sure it will be lovely! Take care, Sherry
I’m not one to generally comment on RU-vid but I want to compliment you on your channel. I’m very particular about the channels I’ll subscribe to but I’m thrilled I found yours. Your creativity is endless and I can tell you take a great deal of care to present in a complete and easy to understand manner. I can’t wait for Tuesdays to see what you’ve come up with next. You’ve inspired me on many project projects and I’m working on my outside patio right along with you! A sincere thank you!
Dear Sherry, You did it again: Just when I'm thinking that you will run out of ideas soon, you impress and entertain me all over again. Thanks for that. My favorite project this week is the entryway table: I love it. I still wish I were your neighbor, but for now I am settling for watching you on RU-vid. Thanks again and enjoy life. Your virtual neighbor, Liz
Those old rugs remind me of my childhood, momma always had those, makes me emotional! I have to make one of those for my door, shoot here come the tears!
You knocked out our of the park! You are my hero! I actually sit in my living room watching your videos, and I clap and cheer and throw my hands up in the air like I'm at a football game and my team just scored! Lol. You're a rock star, lady.
You've "done yourself proud" again, Ms Sherry!! Your creativity and frugality never cease to amaze me No, really, I used the word "amazed." It makes me feel better when you come on, smile, wave and say what you always say! Love it all!
Morning sweet friend, I look forward seeing you every Tuesday morning while I enjoy my coffee. I feel it’s like having coffeE with a friend before I start my day. I loved the place mats with the roses, I would love to find the place mats and do the same. Enjoy your day and the weather. Until next Tuesday take care and God Bless you.
Again, you blew my mind! Such seemingly, rustic and simple ideas just flow from you. You make those pricey transfers go far and use every scrap, this is a challenge I'm sure. You just say "challenge accepted!"
I've made myself a promise. I'm gonna thrift store and yard sale shop this summer and see what bargains I can find. You find the neatest pieces then do some magic on them. I liked so many today that there isnt a favorite. Well done again Sherry.💕
Omg that red plate that you have in the hutch that says you are special today. When we were young my mom would serve our food in that plate all day. She is no longer here. I lost her in 2014. WOW now I wish I knew where that plate was at. Thank you! That brought back some sweet memories. God Bless🙏🏼
I worked in the china department of a department store when I was in college, and we sold those red plates! I don’t see them often, but I will keep an eye out for one for you!
I thought that little stool with the succulents was going to be my favorite but then came that little table with the transfers…oh my…be still my heart ❤️love it!!!
Happy 1st Day of Summer Sherry. Without the cloche gets my vote. And favorite project today the small white, chippy cabinet panels with the iron butterflies….although that sage green, 2 door, Whispering Willows piece is a very close contender…..that Fox gets me every time ❤️
Thank you for these videos ! You are one of a kind ! When I was a teen I babysat for a real classy lady and I remember she collected such pretty strawberry wares ( from tea pots to dishes to light switches ) Her style had such an upper scale flair. Her husband was a professor at William Jewell College and I always wondered if he loved all those Beautiful strawberries ( I guess he did ❤ )
Hi Sherry!!! I've Been Meaning To Tell You...How I Love When You Say, "In My Stash!!!" AND What A STASH It Is!!! It Makes Me Smile -EVERY Time!!! Loving The Rug Floral Pocket, IOD Prints Cabinet, And Your Makeshift Shelf Without The Cloche!!! You Scored Some Awesome Finds -Too!!! One Again...You Never Disappoint Us. TFS Your Creativity With US!!! 🙂😍💜
The darling entry cabinet and the work stool were my absolute favorites. Yet, I enjoyed watching you transform each of your GW finds. What you did with the lantern was also unique. Sherry, you truly have an eye for transforming inexpensive finds into one of a kind treasure. ⚘
Once again, it is almost impossible to pick just ONE favorite! I think my top three are the stool, the butterfly set and the old roses on the wicker-like mats/chargers…but, truly, they are all KEEPERS! You always give me the best ideas to do with things already in my stash and that is such a blessing! You create creativity with every video and that is rare. Sherry, you are a GEM!✨✨
This video was a delight to watch. I just returned from traveling to see family and I am anxious to spend more time crafting, grilling and enjoying summer. I always look forward to Tuesday mornings and your fun, inspiring videos. This one had plenty of fun ideas. Thank you!
I liked the charger transformation best. They were just so pretty when you finished them with the vine hangers. It just took on such a diffrent look from when you started. I also really loved the rag rug wall pocket.i too have always loved rag rugs and had to find other uses for display other then the floor because ive always had too many kids and dogs to use them on my floors. Hanging it outside on a porch it so appropriate. Great job as always Sherry.
This week you were especially creative. I love all your creations but this week I have to say gave me chills!! I'm sooo inspired to try some of these. I think my fav was the entry table, but the bugs made me so happy. But I must watch it again bcz there was so much I'm sure I missed something. God bless your hands and thank you for bringing us such great inspiration!!
I love when I see you create something out of an item I already have in MY "stash" but have no idea what to do with it. 🤭. I'm going to steal your idea with the butterfly wall art, the wood bucket flower arrangement AND I'm going to look for woven chargers! Super cute ideas!!! 💜
I can't choose!! The rug pocket, the work stool, the butterfly wall hangings, the entry way cabinet, the floral hanging mats, the hanging lamp, with the cloche. They were all amazing!!
The old work stool is adorable!! I liked the heavy, chunky wood mixed with a small scale item. It's a substantial piece but it can go anywhere! So cute!!
I love the rug wall pocket on your front door!! So cheerful and nice! Absolutely love the stool with the succulents. And that cabinet!! Those transfers make it look hand painted.
So many unique projects today, favorites are the rag rug wall hanger, the butterfly wall hangings and the wood top stool with the large succulents. Thanks for the many ideas you impart to us each week.
It is impossible to pick just one. I really love the work stool and the entryway table, and the butterflies, and the lantern (without cloche). See what I mean?? 😂💕The lantern would also look stunning on the patio! Thanks Sherry, your creativity is astonishing. I look at thrift store items in a different light thanks to you!
Another enjoyable video. Love how the stool turned out. I get a kick out of hearing you say "I found this in my stash". Just over a year ago my husband and I bought some land that had many out buildings on them and I chose one for myself so that I could have my own workspace. I already had a small "stash" myself but since obtaining the property and my building I have been thrifting alot and adding to my stash that I hope to one day make beautiful things like you do.
I would love to have an out building-a crafter’s (hoarder’s) dream!!! I would love to see your stash. One day I will have to show you my stash (stored in my basement).
Every time I try to pick a favorite of the projects you do, I find myself naming out practically everyone of them. lol You are an inspiration to me. Thank you for the breath of fresh air so deeply needed for my creative mind. Your projects help get me jump started and excited about projects I have needed to do for so long. Bye, bye for now!
Oh, you gave me brilliant inspiration for a bookcase I just picked up at a yard sale. I also thought of Mr Rogers...won't you be my neighbor. 😆 Thank you, Sherry!
Hi Sherry, happy summer. Your projects are once again amazing and I have to agree on the butterfly plaque. I don’t think there is a soul alive who is afraid of butterflies. They are beautiful and gentle and bring peace to your heart. Sometimes they even remind us of love ones when they flutter by as we’re working. I think my favorite this time is the cloche in the lantern. I just love it. Every time I get to the end of your video I am thinking in my mind…No, I don’t want this video to end. You bring such enjoyment. Thank you once again. Love my Tuesday mornings with Sherry.
Love your DIY’s! You are so creative. Wish I had a Goodwill close. I loved the wall pockets with the rag rugs. That was very creative and beautiful! My house was built in 1893 so most of the things you repurpose would work in my old house. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, Sheila! I would love to live in a 19th century home. There are many lovely older homes in my city, but unfortunately they are in undesirable neighborhoods. Our first home was a 1920’s bungalow, but we moved after we had two different lawn mowers stolen from our garage. One Christmas someone even stole the Christmas lights off the bushes in our front yard!
@@CanterburyCottage well that’s too bad. We live in a very small town in Central Texas. No crime to speak of! It’s country life at its finest. We’ve been here for 25 years and love it!
I loved this video and all the fun ways you turned ordinary items into pretty decor. The placemats with the transfers and twig hangers turned out beautiful! I’m telling you those transfers will stick to anything 😊 The butterfly pieces were beautiful with the transfers too. Thank you for sharing such creative ideas for us❤️ love, T
I have that exact cookie bucket. It was my mother in law’s who has passed. since it doesn’t go with anything it is hidden in cabinet where we never see it.Now I am inspired to turn it into something we can enjoy. 😊
My absolute two favorites would be the butterfly wall art and that AMAZING rustic work stool. Oh my goodness I absolutely LOVE the stool 😍 Have a blessed week!
I loved the butterfly wall art and the lantern/shelf. I liked the shelf without the cloche, too. It looks lighter without the cloche. Your ideas always amaze me.
Awesome diy's!!! How nice of Tara to give you the strawberry pieces to add to your collection. I really love how you set up all your strawberry pieces in your built in cabinetry. Beautiful! Well take care and God Bless...❤🌿🍓
I love everything! My favorite is the metal stool with the wooden top since it would fit nicely into my living room! I never want your videos to end! I usually view them a few times. Your creativity is amazing!
I just loved the cabinet, and your strawberry 🍓 dishes! You definitely are the Queen of upcycling, and each piece has quality written over them! Can't wait to see what you do next Tuesday, love and hugs and a big thank you for all your hard work and what you share with us! Until next time xx
I have to agree, the butterfly plaques was right at the top of my list, but not my favorite. That entry table in the sage green, with those transfers...WOWZA Now that was just stunning when you was finished. You never disappoint 😃
Sherry, I live in FL. and I've never been a big fan of summer decor, because the weather is so brutally hot and humid that I just leave my spring stuff out til halloween/fall. This stuff, though, is so adorable, I might change my mind! ❤
I always look forward to and love your videos. I loved that rusty, crusty stool before the make over. Then I loved it even more after the make over. Those large succulents were an amazing find and deal. The entry table turned out gorgeous. I loved the light fixture shelf. What a great and creative idea. Since I don't have a light fixture like that I started brain storming about wood frames or just building one from scrap wood. The cabinet doors with the metal butterflies was stunning. The chippy wood - just gorgeous. Then the wooden cookie bucket and those placemats! Be still my heart! I loved so many things in this video. You continue to amaze me in every video you make and with every creative and beautiful project you create. Thank you for continuing to share with us. ❤😊
Oh my, my favorite was the stool, but it was cool before you started. I also liked the placemats you painted and hung. I may have to watch again so I can replicate some! Your ingenuity and creativity continue to amaze and inspire!
Everything is absolutely gorgeous...my favourite is the butterfly art, working stool and this cabinet makeover, absolutely stunning.... you are so talented!!!! Hugs from Greece ❤️🥰🇬🇷
I loved the butterfly wall hangings and the absolutely fav was the old stand you painted green and sanded the top and put an IOD on it and big flowers in the bottom!! I also loved the entry table!! Oh my goodness I just loved them all!!!
