Dude please theintro is so empty.. Add some music a cool soundtrack, not heavy metal xD but idk.. Your videos are great i really like it but please add something i think the sound is low and i check it everytime a videos starts it feels for like.... Wtf? And then stars a good video.. But try to catch the attention of the new people thank ^^
I actually prefer playing Asseto Corsa with Eurobeat playing at an ok volume, not earape but just enough, It helps me focus more as I tend to follow the sync with the music and the course itself leaving be with a rewarding race experience and fast lap times
How do you think Lewis Hamilton felt in 2012, when he got excluded from Qualifying because he ran out of fuel? He was supposed to be on pole, as well...
It's commonly called "throttle control" or just self-control. A lot of people try to gun it to push the car out of the drift instead of just easing up on the accelerator and letting the tires grip
Hate to break it to you, but if you race in the cockpit you can feel what the car is doing and how it responds to the wheel even better instead of having to rely on visuals all the time. I used to agree with you, but have since changed my mind, especially with pcars.
All depends on the game, a lot of older racing games (even so called simulators like Gran Turismo 4) didn't have cockpit view. Cockpit view is the best, I even use it in arcade racers like Midnight Club LA, but I'll take 3rd person over bumper cam any day.
actually first person is better only if you have VR set otherwise your view is really limited. If you drive a car in real life you will always turn your head left or right but in games your camera is static.
Nice but i think number one should be the "first corner after the race starts" lol a lot of people think they gonna win the race at the first turn & they only cause accidents
"50 minutes of intense driving, first place, last lap, final turn" "Then the car spins, everyone passes you and you finish 6th* *BREAKING NEWS* MAN DESTROYED HIS OWN HOUSE

@@jacobhqsr1406 Is true that is the fastest car, but the handling is shit. Like in Gran Turismo, if you drive it in Suzuka, Mazda Laguna Speedway, taking the turns is cancer

Never ran out of fuel in a game since? I cant remember. Certainly never happened to mo in Forza, the racing game I've played most recently. The title of this video should be 10 driver mistakes in Project Cars.
Number one mistake is running out of fuel :D That never happened to me and I play racing games since gran turismo 1. Number one mistake is ,without a doubt braking too late.
Number 1 mistake of the video maker is supposing that all these mistakes apply in every racing game, as some of those mistakes are outright impossible to make on some racing games because of the actual game limitations. (Also, spins are the result of mistakes and are not the mistakes themselves)
@obito Because I don't want to buy a gigantic and bulky contraption to play video games casually. I've developed methods anyway to play racing games decently with a controller/gamepad. :)
A wheel brings more realism to the game. I play simulator because I wanna get close as possible to the real thing. I played many hours of gran turismo with a pad, but many years ago. love race heel-toe with my g27- So much fun,
If I have 35% fuel left (depending of how fast the car drink fuel also) I would drive "economically", fast enough to hold my position but also conserve gas until I reach the pits. I do this by shifting at lower rpms, using momentun through corners to keep me up to speed, and less thottle
8 and 6 are not really wrong. 8 can be you don't having enough time to get the setup right. It is common in real life racing as well. 6, being an underdog to win a competition is much more rewarding.
1:28, actually, when the backend loses grip it's not only because of the engine brake but also because most of the car weight is transfered to the front axle, that lightens up the back one and creates a massive screw up in the balance. Great video.
Kitt Stargazer it's a good idea when there is literally no point of continuing as you've completely span out and can't do shit to catch up. How will you see your opponents mistakes when you have to question if they even exist anymore from how far ahead they are in a race.
GT4: Going around a high speed turn on Nurburgring, that little hill before the first long straightaway, you peak the hill only to find out you lifted off the ground so no traction for you! Land right in the dirt with humiliation. Stabilize by downshifting before hitting the hill, aim for the right side of the track so the car can't lift.
i like how despite a lot of the negative comments in this video you still sound cheery in your more recent videos. keep making videos, they're really helpful!
Hahahha. The irony of running out of fuel down Conrod straight at Bathurst. This actually happened to Jamie Wincup a couple of years back. He was in front but his team kept telling him to conserve or he won't make it. Ran out of fuel half way down the straight. I'll never forget that race.
Delaying the brake. Missing the brake point.. typically done on the Old Mulsanne straight in your Ford GT40 after zipping at 245 mph and missing that brake point before the hairpin.... no! no! no! dirt... slam!
@@ethana.5076 - the thing is, the HKS isn't for circuit driving. Even with a tremendous amount of tuning, you still can't steer the whole car on average corners.
Under 1.300 KG& over 315 HP: Best for courses with more straights than turns. Over 1.300 KG& under 315 HP: Best for courses that have corners in pretty much every centimeter of it. Under 1.050 KG& over 300 HP: The opposite of the previous one. Over 1.050 KG& under 300 HP: More turns than straights. *Some may be wrong, however.*
In GT5 i did a LMP race online, on the last lap I was 8th, but finished 2nd, 'cuz everyone else ran out of fuel and i just ran by... I almost could hear their screaming of agony and one of them even accused me on being a cheater XD
One year before GT6 server shut down, i was playing a glitched 50 KM desert modded map. I was in my fully tuned Aventador to hit at least 370 km/h and some dudes show up with a Supra, and i was almost screaming 'cause they overtook me at impossible speed. I re-tried by taking the Tomahawk X and they still catch up. Then did a normal offline race.

Was this on console or PC? Do you still have the replay? That first clip gave me a really awkward Deja Vu feeling. I drove the McLaren F1 like 90% of the time, and I swear I've driven on Ruapuna followed by a GT-86 and a Caterham. But I played on PC. If that's me, that would be terribly awkward lol
I just got Forza Motorsport 6, and watched this video and your video on racing game tips and tricks after playing a little. I followed your tips, and now I haven’t lost a race in career mode yet, I also actually finish races online! THANK YOU!
that #1 Driving mistake (OUT OF FUEL) is called THE LAP OF THE GODS. Lets just say the Gods werent with you that night. :P Now imagine when it happens to a real racing team, in a real race. And it does happen quite a lot. Pit-Stop and loose positions or go for the LAP OF THE GODS and achieve glory. :D
now on a little comment about that camera... duuuudeee... i cant believe you play with 3rd person camera on a driving simulator. i used to play iRacing, but i also have ProjectCars, you can even control the turning angle of the helmet to be really realistic, the helmet turns into the apex on the corners. That camera makes a driving simulator look like a standard arcade game. it just my opinion obvious.
I love your video's but what i am about to say is something you might have heard already. Why don't you use your voice in your video's? I think much more people would be willing to watch your video's if you did. I am subscribing because next to the voice i think your videos teach me a LOT. Thank you for making them.
You can speak in Italian and do subtitles on English, this may take more work. But listening a voice, no matters on which languange, makes the video more entertaining and fluid.
fftunes I honestly could care less. You sound more like the kid by using "lol" in every single.comment. and about my parents not teaching me manners dont you dare. My parents have gone through more than you have and having the utter rubbish respect of not caring what they have went through just proves your talking to yourself. I have respect. Just not to people who abuse respect of others.
Dude.... I guess if your game is Tokyo xtreme racer or Have an Engine and oil temperature on it.... then This is the mistake : "Accidentialy Blowing up Your engine" and the cause is.... ( If you're playing wangan midnight or tokyo xtreme racer ) Wandering around he highway for too long Or Letting your engine to redline ( Every Game including those 2 games ). Why did i write This ? because I'm almost been a victim in Tokyo Xtreme racer 3, And yes.... I let my Z32 300zx Blown up.... And use my RX8, and my RX8 Almost been a victim To these Temperature thingy ( Luckily I Just Returned to garage with my RX8 )
I disagree with 6. Sometimes I just want to drive a certain car. It might not be the best for a given track, but if that is what I feel like driving at the time, then it isn't a mistake, it is a choice. The real trick is to still be able to beat people when using the wrong type of car for a given track.
Another critical drivers mistake not mentioned here: When you're coming out of a tight corner in a high hp RWD car and fail to make sure your front tires are straight before hammering the throttle. Next thing you know you're staring head on at the car that used to be in your rear view.
The one time I ran out of fuel in a racing game was F1 2017. Late in the season, the last race I had a chance to take the title and it’s the last lap. I’ve been following Vettel for some time and then there it is; the perfect overtake opportunity. I take it and get past him, cutting off his exit. He stays close behind me. I turned to mix 3 for the pass and forgot to turn it back down. Coming around the last corner onto the main straight and the engine starts to sputter. Probably not 15 yards from the line he passes me. Life over.
In all fairness, the cut track penalties on this game can be a little ridiculous. The steering with the Xbox One controller is still a little stiff at times on PCars (even when heavily adjusted in the settings) so I tend to sometimes massively understeer wide through certain corners (there's a video on my channel of a Watkins Glen endurance race that demonstrates this nicely), but then I'm punished by the game for cutting the track after going WIDE of corners. Cut track penalties should only apply if you use them for an advantage, like to overtake. In the same Watkins Glen video on my channel, I forgot to refuel for my last pit stop, luckily I had organised my pit stops throughout the race, and had built up enough of a lead to slow my own race pace and had enough fuel to complete the race and win. Still, ALWAYS check your fuel!
I remember once when i was doing a endurance on. nurburgring and in the last lap, at the last curve i run out of fuel.. i stopped playing GT6 for a month after that hahahah
Running out of fuel is quite annoying, esp in games such as Gran Turismo when you just started your next lap and you run out, and have to walk back to the pits - even worse on tracks that are like 10ks+
While I'm guilty in at least some of these, I have one more thing to add, occasional accidental ramming, such as I get on the brakes at the same time the person in front of me does but they have better brakes than me, and then I suddenly "run out of brakes" and end up hitting them
One of the lamest and common thing in online racing: Voting for restarting the race because you crashed. Some people will vote for restarting 10 times in a row, and will never learn to race properly in a pack of cars but they always want one more chance. These people are the cancer of online racing. It's one of the primary reason I try to stay away from public servers. You lead the fucking race for the Xth time but no... Mr Accident in the back still wants to restart and all those involved in the crash are voting as well obviously. Sometimes it's even worse, there are NO accident at all, you just happen to have a very comfortable lead so they decide to restart so they can have a chance. Some public servers are well maintained, while some others......
Number 10 isn't so much a problem as it is you trying to force them into being competitive. Plenty of drivers can use unusual racing lines to use the aspects of the car better, or to cover for its weaknesses. In a lighter car with a shorter wheelbase just because I'm not braking in a zone where everyone else is doesn't mean I have a worse line. It just means I'm using the shorter turn-in radius to keep my momentum up, as it'll take longer for me to regain speed compared to the heavier cars with more powerful engines. Number 8's also up to the invidual driver. Number 6 is hilarious if used offensively. Beating someone with the slowest car on the track is something I'm proud I'm capable of. Number 5, if used correctly, can pull your car into the turn and maintain your speed. It's very specific in how it has to be used, though.
I think the most embarrassing mistake is braking too late. I have abused this and I will abuse it. Those poor newbie drivers think that's the only way to protect their position. :D 1. Approach them and move to their side (I prefer outside if possible) but don't overtake because there is 110% change that they will knock you and their self out 2. Brake at the normal spot where you would if you were on a qualification lap 3. Watch as they brake a little too late and shoot their selves off the racing line or even the track 4. Overtake them like nothing happened
