@Joan Morgado The most likely reason is that the current prime minister, Justin Trudeau, has massively mishandled the COVID response. So much so, that they had a cross country truckers protest that ended with trucks parked in the streets of their capital city. Trudeau then responded to that very heavy handedly - by Canadian standards. The other reason I can think of is that the winters in most of the country is absolutely brutal.
