If you're going to do the Mission Table stuff, you can just automate it all with an addon called "TLDR Missions" It's great. Little bit of set up (picking what type of missions you want to do), then just one button per log in.
Such an awesome guide! There are some I didn't realize were that relatively easy. Gonna be working on Torghast very soon to get those mounts! As always thanks for the incredible content Syiler!
I’m embarrassing fresh to wow but one thing I’ve always known and loved are the mounts in wow, I understand there are achievements for a certain amount of mounts, are there now special mounts for achieving 500 and 600 mounts?
@@coggsee12 nothing to be embarrassed about my dude. If you get 500 mounts usable by one character, you get a spectral otter, a good looking flying mount
I wish I would have known how screwed you become if you don't do the adventure table this way. Don't be like me. Follow this guide. I spent the last 8 months slowly leveling a whole team of like 10 adventurers with daily exp quests, because I had no idea about this strategy. Save yourself the time and sanity. Great guide!
For Sarge/Hearthstone they moved where it is in the menu. You should have Hearthstone, Battlegrounds, Tavern Brawl and Modes on the main menu with Mercenaries being inside the Modes section now. If you are brand new and are being forced into the Jaina tutorial, click skip in the top right, now go to Solo Adventures and if you see The Book of Mercenaries, what you should do instead go back to the main menu and press escape, click options, go to Miscellaneous in the bottom and click "Skip Apprenticeship", the misc option doesnt show if you're in the Solo Advenutres menu, you have to be on the main menu. Now when you go to Modes again, you should see four icons, choose the fourth Mercenaries and begin doing the Mercenaries tutorial!
You have to unlock the 10 available decks (lPaladin, Warrior, Demon hunter, etc) first and only after then you may access that specific mercenary game mode for the mount. If you go straight to mercenaries when you enter the game after the tutorial you will end up running 8 stages with a character of your choice but nothing is going to happen. I lost like an hour there. Dont do the same mistake :D
@@liviust7680 Thats not true, had a friend who's never played HS before try it last night, they went straight to mercenaries and got the mount no problem
Ive done the tutorial and wotlk prologue, how exactly i unlock the mount in "book of mercenaries"? Bcoz all i see is "choose different hero" and after that there is only 8 challenges, btw I can choose 10 heroes so idk :D
@@timkempp8922 If you've done the tutorial for mercenaries, then all you need to do now is go to the bounties section and select the barrens/quilboar and it should unlock
@@liviust7680 huh so i've had another friend also do this as a fresh person and experience what you experienced. I am very confused why two new players have two different experiences on what they need to do to obtain the mount
For SL Adventure Table!!! When hearing about the level to get the mounts from the campaign adventures, I thought it was the *quest level* (the number next to the toon icons when you picked an adventure) that needed to be level 17-20. That is NOT the case! There's a special "currency/item" (the golden helmet) that you receive when completing a Campaign adventure/mission. You need to collect 16 of those (so complete 16 campaign missions) before the mounts will become rewards. Hopefully this helps clarify for anyone else who was confused like I was. Happy mount farming!
Thank you so much for these videos. I really do appreciate it! The video is over so now I’m gonna go jump on my computer and see how many miles I can get.😁👏👏👏
A big help for me with Maelie was someone on WoWhead has been locating her consistently and updating their comment daily. This was a few months ago, not sure if they still are.
Thank you. Your video was very helpful. I forgot about the Nazjatar Bloodserpent and I didn't know about the Bleakhoof Ruinstrider and I got them a couple days ago. Still working on the rest.
It may sound daft but after 2 year of playing and playing all the way through SL, I never knew how to do the Adventure Table cheese, as you put it. I wish I knew much much earlier....So thank you sooooo much for explaining it ;)
Making a new post: Went in to SL with a 61 toon which has never been in SL before. Boosted all covenants up to Renown 60 and then started the mission table. When I started it I first boosted Niya up to lvl 30 with the "Timebound Ruminations" (which can be bought from Au'Dara (costs 10k anima)) by the flight master in Oribos (same vendor that you buy the Renown 60 boost from). Then used the 75k covenant boost that you get when you boost to renown 60. This resulted in Niya was boosted up to lvl 57 instead of 55. Saw that those mount missions was a bit hard so I would try this to see if it helps. Going to try to only run Niya and troops, and only do table missions and xp boost, now to see if this can be an easier way to get the mounts. Saw in another video that it helps to have a rank 3 mission table and be Renown 80 to make things easier, but I'll let it stay at rank 1 and be Renown 60 atm.
The WoW companion app makes missions super easy as long as you have resources. Great for Legion missions as well, you can get tokens for farming paragon rep
hey if you read this, i just want to thank you. your videos are literally perfect for what they are and i come here more than anywhere else. if you have a tip jar or anything id love to donate. thanks again and keep up the amazing content man!
Highly recommend darkwater skate, easy mount to get and it makes leveling a whole lot easier since it’s a water mount. You can also fight the Moonfang boss at the fair to get a solid chunk of tickets for a once-per-event quest! As long as you get at least one hit on her you’ll be able to loot her for the quest item.
A couple I didn't have (Hearthstone rat & one of the Torghast), so good info! Thanks. Hope you hit 100K soon! EDIT: Apparently Mercendaries Mode for Hearthstone is MiA. Installed, unistalled, installed, cruised the forums and spent 2 hours playing some other Mercendary mode, tutorials, etc., and NO MOUNT! Just FYI.
Sarge is still available as of 1/21/24@@Syiler The game itself is not super friendly even for returning players to find these extra modes and such. I found some info on wowhead about how to find the "modes" menu of the game and choose mercenaries and then all was gravy =)
This is another reason for me to play the Shadowlands story! I can care less if allot of people hate the story! I want to see the story for myself than I will make a personal judgement! Sorry for rant & thank you for this vid!
can you maybe make a video on the rarest mounts to get killing a boss/worldboss? Like invincible on lichking or so? What you can do weekly with one char as a round
For Sarge/Hearthstone they moved where it is in the menu. You should have Hearthstone, Battlegrounds, Tavern Brawl and Modes on the main menu with Mercenaries being inside the Modes section now
Do the demon killing on Argus with a paladin. Because you can easily Place consecrate on the ground and they'll run right into it and die instantly, and then you can always tell us judgment or your Shield at the other portal to take out the rest of the Demons
Hi Syiler, love the content you keep putting out. You've helped me get a lot of mounts over the years, so thank you for that! Question regarding the mission table mounts. I've been doing them for a bit now on a fresh 70 and I only have Niya (lvl 56 now) as my follower yet I'm still just getting lvl 12-14 missions. I always do the "advance to greater missions" when they're up. So have I done something wrong or does is just take a very long time to get higher lvl missions?
@@Syiler Around 10-15 I'd say. I didn't do the 1000 anima quest since I couldn't pick it up before getting the 4000 anima from the renown shuffle. If that's not a problem I'll keep grinding them, just wanted to make sure I hadn't done anything wrong in the process
@@KriminalisDK The next time you see a campaign mission pop up, take note of its name and you should be able to check how far in you are as its a linear progression
I'm following your guide but when I get to the night fae covenant hall I don't have access to the command table or any quest from Zayhad the builder. Not sure what I need to do next. Apparently I need a redeemed soul to activate it?
Been doing the Camels part of this video. When doing Grim Batol Dungeon it was the same as yours in the video last night, However, coming back to the dungeon this morning after PrePatch, Its a completely different dungeon. Is it me, did they change it a bit or does the dungeon switch up as you progress though the rep?
In that case I would like to Clarify that the rep farm does still work. However you are no longer getting rep from all the enemies as some of them have changed, but rep does still drop from a bunch of mobs and bosses still. You can also no longer be farm this on Heroic as the rest of the dungeon after the first boss has been blocked off by a wall of fire and defeating the boss locks the instance, so best to make sure you have your dungeon set to Normal in order to reset the instance.
I've absolutely bankrupted myself setting up the Garrison stuff for mounts! How do you farm your gold, or what would you recommend to farm for raw gold? :D Love the vids btw
Im more of a AH goblin whenever I go about making some gold. Especially at the start of the expansion where prices are inflated i'll sit flipping or mass producing items to make use of the initial hype. Not much of a raw gold farmer so dont have much to recommend there but some of the world quests in the 10.1 zone give like 600-800g, if you can knock those out on alts its a decent amount for the time investment
I know its real money but if you level boosted any toon from am sure base level it gives you a fully done or mostly done Garrison. I did it with my pre order boost for I think BFA and it put me with a fully kitted out garrison even though I had never set foot on dranor.
Thx for another great guide :) Happy to see you back again helping the rest of us noobs :) Running SL missions like crazy now cos I don't have those mounts. But do I have to upgrade to tabel to rank 3 or can it stay at rank 1?
@@sebastiangjerde8128 if I recall correctly higher ranks decrease mission times, that could speed up overall completion, not sure how the mission spawn timers work though
@@zsfekete5211I have 1 toon now with Miya at 58 and missions where I can get the mounts if I can complete the mission but it seems that the timers are the same as lower rank missions. Maybe it comes later :)
@@sebastiangjerde8128 I have just started going for those, rank3 of command table says it decreases adventure times by 25%. I am not sure if those effect campaign or not
A question on the Command Table.. Does the mounts eventually become available on the Campaign quests, or do the campaign get you to a level that you can get the mounts?
Eventually becomes available from the campaign missions, the campaign missions show up in a set order, so just keep completing them until the mount ones appear
You can't put mounts that require a whole written guide og 10 pages and hours of gameplay into the same "easy to get category" as the bronze drake lol. Written guide for bronze drake for new players goes like this. 1) buy wow 2) use free 60 boost 3) go to culling of Stratholme 4) get mount
After 2 weeks the 1st mount has appeared on the Campaign adventure, and its a level 60 mission where I am only 56 :( If I fail it, will it come back around again?
Bit off topic but it feels strange seeing shadowlands content again. It feels so alien to dragonflight. Otherwise, great video. I didn't know the camel was so easy to get. Definitely a job for my human.
Do they have an addon that just lets me THINK I have a specific mount? Like, it looks like a boring ram mount to everyone else, but for ME it just LOOKS like I have something fancy
ok...I've received 3 out of 4 of the command table mounts and I am stuck on Corpseliced Catastrophe which offers the Warstitched Darkhound. Has anyone beaten the team with Syiler's strategy b/c I've tried at least 4 or 5 times now failing each time. Please tell me how and tia :)
@@Syiler Well, I used your suggestion of Niya in the middle and healer to her right filling the team out with the trappers and it hadn't worked, BUT I went ahead and switched it around today putting Niya and healer in back row and After I sent them out on the mission, i decided to upgrade my command table to level 2. went back tonight with upgrade finished and miraculously won the mount. Don't know if the upgrade helped my chances or not, but YOU definitely did with this great cheesey tip b/c I never would've had any of the command table mounts without it, so thank you Sir for your help!!
Does anyone know if the heartstone mount is still obtainable? I can't seem to be able to access mercenaries and with that complete the requirements for the mount.
Its still obtainable, they just moved where it is in the menu. You should have Hearthstone, Battlegrounds, Tavern Brawl and Modes on the main menu with Mercenaries being inside the Modes section now
For Flawless Torghast you say not to spend your Phantasma at the vendors, but never tell us why/where to spend it at ? Ive gotten around 2000 and idk what to do with them now lol
One of the flawless point contribution is to have over 750 (or around this value, dont remember the specific number) anima remaining when you finish the entire run
They moved where it is in the menu. You should have Hearthstone, Battlegrounds, Tavern Brawl and Modes on the main menu with Mercenaries being inside the Modes section now
Elemental Crescent, one of the weapon rewards from Warlords of Draenor challenge mode dungeons. Unfortunately currently not obtainable anymore unless you met the requirements in the past
I'll assume you're saying that based on the Simplearmory/wowhead drop %, it drops on a 100% chance for the summoner. Back in BFA people would recruit help to kill the boss. The summoner would get the mount, anyone who helped wouldn't, which is why drop % trackers record the data incorrectly.
For Sarge/Hearthstone they moved where it is in the menu. You should have Hearthstone, Battlegrounds, Tavern Brawl and Modes on the main menu with Mercenaries being inside the Modes section now. If you see The Book of Mercenaries, what you should do instead is go back to the main menu, press escape, click options, go to Miscellaneous in the bottom and click "Skip Apprenticeship" now when you go to Modes again, you should see four icons, choose the fourth Mercenaries and begin doing the Mercenaries tutorial! You will only see Misc as an option if you are on the main menu.
@@Ringarayo If you don't see a Misc option then you also most likely dont have the Solo Adventures option that replaces Modes. Misc is only there if you have been put into the Apprenticeship difficulty as a new player. What do you see when you attempt to start mercenaries?
Not sure what's causing the struggle for you, the footage I showed I didn't have the cube at all on that character, so no perks/upgrades and messed up on a floor only getting a 40% clear on it but still hit 220 score
I’d you’re not doing it already, make sure to spam the empowerment buff whenever it procs. You don’t need the damage, but it will help to boost your overall score.
It should be on the initial game menu, you should have Hearthstone, Battlegrounds, Tavern Brawl and Modes on the main menu with Mercenaries being inside the Modes section now
@@Syiler unfortunately not. I see "Hearthstone" "Battlegounds", unclickable "Tavern Brawl" (mouseover says "Defeat and unlock each class...) and lastly "Solo Adventures". I finished the tutorial where you fight with Jaina in 6 battles where Illidan is the last one.
@@crazymonkey334 What do you have? I just updated my HS and I have Hearthstone, Battlegrounds, Tavern Brawl and Modes on the main menu with Mercenaries being inside the Modes section now
@@Syiler I figured out what to do: As I have never played Hearthstone before I had to unlock all classes to enable the "modes" menu. I did this by selecting "Solo Adventures" -> "Practice" -> "Normal". Here you need to win against every single class. Once you did that the main menu changes and "modes" is available. Under "modes" you'll find the "Mercenaries" and can start unlocking Sarge. Tip: While unlocking every class you receive a lot of new cards and card packs from the achievements and weekly quests. Use them to improve the class you're playing (I used Mage all the way)
@@MrKrispee You'll do the initial quests with your covenant, get sent to oribos to talk to Bolvar, you'll get sent to the maw and get introduced to Ve'nari, where you should be sent into Torghast shortly after that. After that stuff it should now be unlocked
@@Syiler yeah i didnt realize i needed to actually do quests that lead me back to bolvar i have it all caught up now. i really dont wanna do this on my hunter id rather do it on my even more geared warrior with bladestorm lol
@@MrKrispee Good news potentially is if your Hunter is close to finishing the quest line, then your Warrior should be able to skip all the quests after the initial covenant stuff, once youre sent to Bolvar as he will have an additional dialogue (I think, dont quote me on that haha)
#1 youd have to then unlock dreamweaver which then hurts this cheese as youd have two active followers meaning both need leveling to cause your troops to also be leveled and #2 Niya works perfectly fine for this
@@IDontFacedLol Did some deeper diving and yeah they are confirmed to count. The only times people have had issues is if the achievement bugs out because the mounts werent obtained on the char with the highest number, so its a safer bet to get these on the char that has the most mounts
So I got them on an alt, number didn't go up. Went back and got the rep needed to buy them on my main, the character with the most mounts, and it still didn't go up. Even before I got the rep on my main they showed up and were rideable.@@Syiler
Always loved your videos, but you CANNOT say 60k gold is cheap or easy, you are no lifing this game of course you will have millions, for the rest of us even 100k is a lot and will take hours to grind.
Its really not that much though, you can make 30-40k an hour just by flying around and loot the dirt piles in TWW, thats with no professions and only a bit of renown. So I think having to grind for 2-3hours for a mount is still short enough of a time period to fit the video
These are far from complex or confusing, reaching 60 renown doesnt exactly take a genius mind considering it was the base mechanic of the expansion, or completing a tutorial in hearthstone, or grinding a dungeon for reputation, or completing a questline. You get the point, sure these arent just kill a mob and get a mount but those mounts are consistently covered in other "easy" videos, I had to trust that people were able to do a bit more than kill one mob which thankfully the majority of the people who have watched this were able to.
