Keep it going, im going in the mean time completing the national dex excluding only region pokemon. Im now in Hoenn in Emerald en Ruby hunting them all down for the living dex. The gen 1 Kanto en Gen 2 Jotho games I leave them for now on the background. First the Kanto Fire Red and Leaf Green games and gen 4 Jotho and if they all transferred to gen 7 then to Home. If there is still time then completing the Alpha dex in Hisiu region. If im still on the clock then im back in Crystal and another gen 2 games where the pokemon are exclusive. So I can complete the Jotho and Kanto of old pokemon national dex. Bug plans and alot of free time needed but I dont have a timer I have the time I need 😅
General tips for catching coveted shinies, especially if you want them in a special pokeball: - Save beforehand if the pokemon allows it. Cyclizar is a rare exception since it won't give you the time. - Like in Pokemon Legends Arceus, you can catch a pokemon off-guard by throwing your lead pokemon at the target when you're directly _behind_ it. The game is rather picky about the angle. - - Catching a pokemon off-guard will double your catch rates (stacks with all other methods) and make the target forfeit its first turn (always nice against self-KO moves) - Use Spore if the target is not a Grass type. This increases catch rates. - Throw your desired pokeball. For the vast majority of Pokemon, catching off-guard + using Spore is sufficient to catch them. - If not, and if the target doesn't know self-damaging moves and/or there's no sandstorm, use False Swipe if needed. To increase the odds of packs of pokemon spawning, mount onto your box legendary right after packing up a picnic.

I rarely comment on vids, but I wanted to tell you how effective this is! Ive caught 2 shiny forms of lycanroc and shiny hawlucha within about 2 hours without a shiny charm. I have only ever shiny hunted 1 time before in sun and moon as it takes too much time but this is great!
Found a random Shiny Buizel just scouting the area. 29th shiny and may the first shiny box I fill have Hawlucha as the 30th. (I only got to 28 in Sword)
Both Axew and Bagon (version specific ofc) can be hunted in a particular cavern where you can set up a picnic and watch them spawn from out of a wall after. No grass and brown cave makes them very easy to spot.
I think Chansey is pretty easy up by where the fairy Team Star member was make a sandwich for normal encounters and you can kill 2 birds with one stone. XP farm chanseys, and eventually you’ll likely get a shiny.
You should let us know if you need a specific Herba Mystica to use on each sandwich, I used different ones for the fighting type sandwich and got catching power instead of encounter...
The first fighting sandwich I didn't get any shinies but the second one I got 4 shiny Hawlucha. That's the most shinies I've got gotten from a single sandwich!
Honestly I just went in and started my game up for the first time in a week to train up my new Mew for the Mewtwo raids next month, not even looking for shiny Pokémon, but I’ve found like eight. I’ve never seen the one form pop up in the game. I can see the day form and night form, but for the three minutes the one form is available they all disappear until it switches over to the next form.
i really need help.. ive tried multiple sandwiches and i only get 2 lycanrocs at once. its really annoying, and suggestions? Edit: I just didnt have encounter power

Thanks a lot! I got 2 shiny Lycanroc within about 15 minutes. Prior to this I never spent time trying to do sandwiches and instead just did the outbreak methods wich work but drive me absolutely mad. Hunts can take forever at times either way but definitely worth it always when you get 1!!
I prefer teaching it hypnosis just because you never know if the Pokemon has a move that kills itself or damages itself 😭 I do have it with thunder Wave also... Just for dark types
There is a bacon that big but it’s way more delicious than regular bacon. It’s infamous in Italian dishes, it’s called Pancetta and it’s a salt cured pork belly. The full odds of a shiny appearing in the wild is 1/4096 with the sparkling power active your odds reduce to 1/1096 and if you have the shiny charm on top of this your odds for these hunts max out to 1/683 hope this helps :)
Tip for lycanrock forms : Try to make the sandwich when time ingame get between two different ones, so you can catch 2 forms in one sandwich (ex: make sandwich in the end of the night so you can catch a night lycanrock and then wait (with the sandwich still active) and try to catch a day form lycanrock
i feel like there's 2 types of s/v players. i either hear about people that have encounter so many full odds shiny during their first playthru, and then there's people like me who don't have a single one (excluding the illegal ones u get from wonder-trade)
definitely wouldn’t recommend this spot for mareep or ampharos. they spawn too sparsely and uncommonly for you to get enough encounters before your sandwich runs out.

Yeah sometimes it makes your other ingredients fall off of the sandwich and the top bun isnt needed to get the boosts. So better be safe and not put it on.
