Love these tips! I have done all of these things already over the last 7 years or so but sometimes I start to feel like I'm the only person who cares about toxins and chemicals in our environment. This makes a quick easy way to share with friends and family when they ask me how or why I do these things. ❤
In the UK and EU you can no longer buy borax. In 2010 the EU reclassified the 'Borate' group of chemicals that Borax belongs to as potentially hazardous to health. Therefore it is no longer available as a cleaning and laundry product
Your cleaner is the the easiest thing to start with and it works so much better. I have also switched my dish soap, hand soap and I use your facial toner. Next I am trying your shampoo! Thank you.
It definitely is a process, I started with the dishes switching to glass and stainless steel and cast iron (expensive 😰) and not using aluminum foil. My next step is making my shamooos and conditioners and body products myself, I have pcos and other issues which I want to get better before we have children. Thank you! Great video.
I have been using healthy personal care and cleaners for years now. However I hesitate to use baking soda for toothpaste as I wonder about the long term effects on enamel. But another healthy choice we make is using natural fibres whenever possible. I refuse to have acrylic carpet in my house with all the toxic chemicals used in its manufacture. Wool carpet and wooden floors. Plus there isn't the issue of landfill and plastics in the oceans with wool.
The only thing that I don‘t like is the mention of the EWG, on this side are products recommended that according to their own guidline are toxic, I think you can buy yourself on that list. The best tips for me are the air and the diffusing and the vaccuming/dusting because thats something that gets overlooked so much.
I have tried to use essential oils on my dryer balls and then it seems like afterward for the next few loads I can have oily stains showing up on light colored clothing especially. Have you ever had this problem? Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Essential oils don't stain clothes like vegetable oils, or at least they shouldn't. I drop them straight on my clothes all the time. I would check the ingredients on your oils and make sure they don't have an added in carrier oil.
