Our 3 cats love sitting in our laps but it is always on their time and desire. Always know when they want lap time by their behaviors. We're with our cats pretty much 24/7 so we all know each other very well.

I LOVE it When My Cat Sits On My Lap . But mostly , she prefers to sit next to me. And she sleeps on my pillow at night . My girl is now 20 years old and she still runs ,jumps and plays. Plus she can still jump up into the window sill , from the bed , so that is a good sign that she is still able to jump up so far.❤.

Spike, my boy cat, prefers to lay on my chest and abdomen when he wants to snuggle. Emma (girl cat) is never on me and that’s okay. My cats and my (girl) dog, Babe, all have petting and scratching preferences, plus, Emma is very into bunting (head butts) and slow blinks. All three of my fur kids love me and know that I love them dearly. Babe loves the cats and they love her. I’m totally blessed!

I think sitting in my lap is just not an option to her. But she loves to lay down against my legs and fall asleep there. It’s just as well!❤

I have four cats. One only likes lap time infrequently, but she does initiate lap time on her own. Two of them, both males, absolutely love lap time, and often share my lap. But the fourth... He was rescued from a pretty abusive situation - he was front declawed (should be a crime), and his only correction for undesired behavior was to be hit, slapped, or kicked. Needless to say, it took a LONG time to earn his trust. He's been with me for 6 years now, and finally, last month, he stood on the arm of my chair and started to make biscuits on my thigh. Then he crept down and stood there, and finally curled up on my lap. I literally blubbered like a little girl who'd lost her favorite doll - SIX YEARS - but I finally earned his trust. He now asks for lap time every day. So, the overall message here - THEIR terms, when THEY choose, and a lot of patience will eventually be successful.

We had a black cat named Sooty that was always a lap cat. We used to pet her and she couldn't help putting her claws in. It was her way of telling us that she was really enjoying the nursing. We now have another black cat named Maddy. She loved being on our laps when she was a kitten, but never goes there now.

I have 2 lap cats. 1 other that will sleep in my legs ♡ another will sit in my lap and be all over me only if we are in the bathroom (her safe quaters) I sit on the floor with her every day! I have 6 cats. 5 rescued from outside, a litter of 4 was born and abandoned by mom under our shed. I get so upset if im forced to get up when I have a cat on me. I love my babies.

No I am a lap human. My cat comes in when I am sleeping sits on my chest , walks around my head and sits on my face until I pet him! Then he sucks on my earlobe.
