oh no why you said that? mine is spring too!... now i like you even more *sigh* xD for me its spring>autumn>winter>summer. i mean summer is warm which is better than cold BUT it has way more insects which can sting and annoy you and you sleep worse in winter you sleep better in my opinion. thats why spring is the best its not as cold already a bit green, bees are active but you still can survive nights without sweating and being scared to get stung. xD
Got to be spring too. Nothing like riding on a crisp blue skied morning... and I love the explosion of life in spring :) Summer is just way too hot here....
I recently discovered a mod called Seasonal Wildlife Distribution that would go perfectly with this video! Especially the reindeer mod 🦌 It's supposed to change the animals' behaviour according to the season, such as migrations or changing coat colours, which sounds pretty neat
Wow a sauna mod. Being Finnish myself I will have to download this and make it a staple of my load order. I also love that Finnish saying you put in your video. I will have to remember that. I have never actually been to Finland so I am always fascinated to learn about the culture whenever I can.
That's a great introduction to these mods. And I also found it a bit odd that no one wears warm clothing in Skyrim, so the mods that provide warm clothes make a lot of sense. :)
I was not expecting a Witcher 3 reference. I love Roach, she's one of my favourite game horses with Agro from Shadow of the Colossus Another great video bard! A perfect mid-holiday escape to Skyrim. I loves Seasons of Skyrim and that Scarf one gave me an idea for my mage playthroughs. Isn't it odd how the college is in the coldest, most frozen over county of Skyrim and yet they all wear single layer robes in the middle of blizzards? Anyway, if they were enchantable, that'd also be a great addition for my Mage to have as they base out of Winterhold for their journey. Extra Sneak and Illusion would be ideal or perhaps Health and Magicka regeneration I loves Seasons of Skyrim. Such a great, well executed idea. I've thought before how Skyrim must look across real seasons but we never seem to get anywhere with it aside from "North cold, south less cold" so a Skyrim in full Summer should be a sight to see. Even for those Mages up in Winterhold I love the scarf thing. I never thought about it but Skyrim should be filled with people wearing gloves, scarfs, hoods and more, especially across the north where it's always snowing (Aside from Solitude. I've got my eye on you Solitude). But Scarfs would greatly benefit the people. Especially if it's one of those Scarf/hood things my sister used to wear everywhere a few years ago. And that Skaal Coat gives me Winter Lounge wear vibes. If Hannah were still around, she would have loved if I could find something like that for her That Sauna mod would also be another great fit in Skyrim reguardless of season. being a cold country like us northern European countries, Skyrim suffers from the ability to make non lethal cold temperatures very lethal if exposed for too long. The damp here is horrifyingly strong, chills you right through so even positive Celsius temperatures make you shiver, curl up and affect your health. And god help you if an Ice Storm decides to hit while you are outside without the right protection. A sauna would fix a lot of cold issues and would really help out after coming in from a long day outside. Also as a self respecting Northern European, tea is amazing but have you tried my Anska Style Hot Chocolate. A sure prize winner, that one. I've already smashed all other local businesses with my own recipe and it's variations and cheap costs to make and buy resulting in huge profit margins, huge volumes and solid guarantee on quality every time and I've not even gone into business yet. My friends just spread the word for me of their own volition That was a super cozy player home! usually I'm not too into them but honestly small, cozy and practical hit me right in the "I must have this" drive. Not only that but it's also eastmarch which is my High King's Home and gives me quick access to the Stormcloaks to base out of instead of that openly creepy af Hjerim house. The dog makes a nice addition too, I'll be sure to feed him some fresh Venison twice a day with some other stuff to ensure good strong teeth and healthy bones and muscles. My cat irl get's the same treatment of Super Fresh Fishes and Cooked meats along with senior biscuit and some hand picked natural nutrients for his old age health. Honestly the little demon eats better than I do some days and some days he tries to eat me I loved this video bard!! Know this channel is one of my all time favourites and I love what you do here. You are a cut above the others and I can't wait for next week. See you there!!
G'day Anska! Of course, I'm throwing a Witcher reference wherever I can, as I love the series 😩 Roach is one loyal, sweet horse! There is actually an "unfrozen" addon to Seasons of Skyrim, I'm thinking of trying it out this spring! And make Winterhold and such places see some green for a change :) Sounds like Valkyr could be a player home right up your alley - I just wish it, too, came with a sauna! xD A missed opportunity! Loved to hear your takes on these mods once again, hope you're doing well :) and thank you so much!
@@BardsCollegeGraduate Imagine the panic of the Winterhold residents when they get to see grass for the first time in several hundred years "I SEE FLOWERS GROWING OUTSIDE" "yes, snowberries. we know. That's all that grows here" "No! I picked a Thistle! And all 3 colours of mountain flowers! And Lavender" "Huh?" "THE GROUND IS A STRANGE GREEN COLOUR" And I bet they'll still blame and hate the college for it
I think it'd be even more immersive if Nords (and maybe Khajiits) were somewhat exempt from wearing the warm clothing. Nords already have a 50% frost damage resistance, I think it'd make sense if they could tough out the cold compared to Imperials, Bretons, and other races.
Great video! Another great cozy winter home worth checking out is Winter Cove...older mod but has some cool interactive features and an impressive bath.
we milk drinkers also need to drink tea from time to time. good addition to my modlist!. (in real life tea is my addiction...and I'm also a milk drinker)
@@BardsCollegeGraduate that’s really sweet of them. I’ve been watching so many of your mod videos because I’m in that phase of starting a new play through and it was always funny when your complaints were no saunas 😂
Hahaha yessss especially all the cottage player homes SHOULD have a sauna included!! Only Elianora has done this (and she's a countrywoman of mine, so no wonder!) I hope you have fun on your new playthrough!
seasons of skyrim is a great mod which i think we all waited for since skyrims release and where it got teasered "what is possible" unfortunately i heard its not that compatible (?) reindeer herds is a really nice immersive mod! nice showcase idea :) but i have a question for an experienced modder like you are and since i respect your opinion. dw its just regarding city mods x). as far as i know you don't like to overhaul your cities much but if you would, which would you like the most? i personally really liked holds but it seems to get less attention and i never see a youtuber using it. do you have any idea why? is it too big? (i mean it quite is) or too many conflicts? just curious. wish you cozy warm days since i bet its even colder in scandinavia.
I think I like Cities of the North and The Great City series equally, as well as Redbag's cities- but for most of these videos, I use JK's only to stay compatible with the mods I showcase. Holds I haven't tried yet, but I'm looking forward to try it out and maybe create a whole video about the mod. It's been pretty cold, so thank you! ❄
Could you do whimsical or cottagecore themed mods? I want my game to be more fantasy magical and not necessarily immersive and I do love the cottagecore aesthetic. A few mod examples that I already love and found for more of an idea of what I mean include: Mushroom followers, Baba Yaga Quest, Flower Fields, and Wonders of Weathers.
I love that idea, thank you for it! I did a video that is kind of close to the cottagecore aesthetic but, yeah, it's more just magical: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pPGSQphMzpE.html
Well, aside from warm clothes, the saunas cures diseases and (I imagine) keeps you warm, but other than that not sure if there's so much interaction with Survival mode!
I have a tendency to watch your videos on my Nintendo Switch in the living room, so anytime my girlfriend hears your voice she shouts out "MY BARD WIFE!" congratulations, your bard arts seduced their way into my home lol! Another great video as always, I'll definitely add the Sauna mod to my usual modlist!
I have been so interested in having Seasons of Skyrim but I haven't found much for an immersive mod list covering compatible mods for it, so thank you thank you thank you so much for this video!!!!! I am so happy you covered this!!!!
I'm so glad! Seasons is the best. Also be sure to check out my earlier video about it, there are even more Seasons-mod recommendations and I think it still holds up well :D
I prefer a summer in Skyrim when winter here)) Did you seen my mod?) I updated it before aNew Y holidays) Nibiron Dragon Home 😉 I hope You will get warm in my Home
I think I’ve been playing too much Skyrim (if that’s even possible 😂). I installed a jötuun mod to make the giants bigger and “realistic”. Last night, I had a nightmare that I got mauled by three frost giants while getting a word from a word wall.
Since the update, I got rid of campfire, frostfall, and wet and Cold. Since bethesda added temperature to survival mode, my game kept crashing with all the heavy scripting going on- now I have a shit ton more room to download stuff like this! Yaaayyyy
Do you have any videos on weapon and armor replacers/retextures? I found one but that I kinda liked but it made everyone look like they were in the show Vikings.
your voice is so soothing to listen to!!! can i ask which version of skyrim u play on? Todd keeps updating the game and its starting to become a problem for my mod list 😭
RU-vid won't show me your videos anymore and it's pissing me off I am in hell at the moment and i just need the Bard to talk about mods with her enthusiasm fuck youtube
Love your skyrim mod showcases! I have adhd and get very manic sometimes and I use your videos to calm me down because they are just relaxing and the visuals are always aesthetically pleasing XD
Does anyone know if these mods will work on a Xbox Series X? Especially Seasons of Skyrim? Don’t have the money for a new PC and I may be able to get a series X off a friend for a better price.
Ay I was just wondering if Skyrim has any tea mods. Just had some honey citrus tea on a walk. Your vids are why I'm going to play some Skyrim when I'm back home.
@@BardsCollegeGraduate We just built a sauna here at our place in the Southeastern Arizona desert. If you ever visit...stop by for a sauna! Right near Interstate 10...so easy to get to :>)))
@@BardsCollegeGraduate I visited Florida back in 2016...when we took a ten thousand mile trip all around the country. In a motor home...with a tow vehicle.
After playing Nolvus for a while I decided Skyrim is not Skyrim unless I mod it myself. I’m in the process of modding Skyrim all over. I will definitely be using these mods :3 if anyone knows a proper Seasons of Skyrim tutorial I would love to see it before I mess up, having dyndolod and xlod run for an hour just to realize you messed up is the biggest pain of Skyrim modding
I also think it's the best to customize the experience and mod it completely yourself (although there is time and place for modpacks too!) I'm not sure if there's a video tutorial on Seasons, it mostly just boils down to the Dyndolod settings so the things you see far away have the correct season. I believe in you!! Have fun!
Oh my goodness gracious, you got me good this time! I only knew about a few of these and I want ALL of them! The fluffy warm armour and Harald the dog?? And proper sauna houses?? With tea??? Yes, to all! I'm working in SoS to my modlist right now, but I never get tired of seeing it on display. Thank you for this excellent (and cozy is the word) mod list!
Some good mods here. I also use Wet and Cold that gives cloaks and hoods to NPCs depending in the weather and time of day. It also adds breath effects when it is cold. Oldy, but goody. I also use Mihail's penguins mod for the Sea of Ghosts.
It's a classic mod for sure! The breath effect is the best, but the mod has some features I don't care for so I don't have it here now :( ahhh there are penguins too?! I should've known :D
Meanwhile here in brazil we r living a VERY hot summer, but honestly i d rather be in this absolutely fantastic world of skyrim, especially on an world with these mods ur showing us today!
Damn you always brighten my day.... DEFINITELY need a fully voiced 'Bard's College Graduate' (Fully voiced by you ) ... time for me to become a Patron me thinks ;)
@@BardsCollegeGraduate You know I've mentioned it a few times now and it always gets a very positive reaction.... I'll keep asking for it until it becomes a reality :D :P
Do we actually know what happened to the previous owner of the Nord warrior's home? Perhaps he died, and that's why the dog was left alone, no need to assume they abandoned the dog 😉.
I love your videos; it's always exciting each time that I get notified that you have just posted a new one. I would not be quite so harsh on Valkyr's previous owner without knowing the facts. Perhaps he or she went out for a quick errand while Harald was napping and unfortunately encountered a Thalmor scouting party. 😮😢 Anyway, thank you for sharing these videos! Stay warm!
Thank you so much Jeff! I'm so glad :) And you're right - anything could've happened! At least Harold is now with us and doesn't have to be alone anymore 🐶
