@@pathbetweentrees umm no, expensive isn't the same as not being value for money. Something could be expensive but still value for money, like eg, Domino's Pizza. Something may not be expensive but still value for money like Kurkure 🤷. Hope you understood.
I know a place in delhi where one plate of chole with 2 bhature cost only ₹ 50 so you could feed 3000 people from this much amount of money in a metropolitan city.😂😂
True. Sometimes I go to Haldirams and eat pani puri at Rs 150/- which is available wt Rs 20/- outside.. And then I think aaj ka bahut mehenga ho gaya😂😂😂
I have a decent job and I recently gave a party to my friends in Barbeque nation, it was a buffet with unlimited food which costs 775 rs (around $10). We think that was an expensive party.
Don't compare Indian Rupees to USD. In India average monthly Salary is around 30k which is around 400 USD in comparison to US where average monthly salary is 2k USD on the lower side.
I am a Bengali and we eat both fresh water and salt water fish. We are near the coast, so we get both varieties easily. Tuna is available but not valued so much in most of India.
actually one of the top choices for tuna, the yellowfin tuna is actually found and caught in the Indian Ocean and then exported to Japan so yeah Achara we do have tuna
@@adish7839 I know both have asian genes, but then there are many people who though Asian through and through tend to show they are AMERICAN or British, they try this to be Accepted.
Hey Jaby and Achara I'm a Bengali and the question you guys asked was a good one we actually eat both freshwater as well as saltwater fish. Fish is an important part of our diet and we also love fish eggs btw Achara is a beauty with brains so I realise why Jaby loves her so much.
The most expensive meal I've ever had (yet!) (just for 1 person, myself) was under 1000₹ (~13.75$ as of today) That's not that expensive but, one would definitely want to keep it under 500₹ for normal days 😂 (~7$ as of today) (unless it's a special occasion)
Hey Jaby, I am a non-Bengali living in Bengal and I can confirm that there are plenty of salt water seafood varieties in West Bengal. In-fact the way pasta is a normal and almost daily dish in Italian households (I Guess, don't know if it's true), similarly maach-bhaat (Fish "curry" & rice) is synonymous with Bengali households. Also, yes, we're pretty close to a sea, namely Bay of Bengal, the one that's wreaking havoc on us as I type this by means of a cyclone.
I did try out at the Wasabi Mumbai. Portion were absolutely small and each dish cost were around 4k INR. The total bill came to around 1.5 lack INR for 8 people which is ok for experience.
We Bengalis mostly eat fresh water fish but we love sea food as well. The assumption of kicking out that Japanese Chef from his country had me in stitches.
There's a bengali movie called 'The Japanese Wife'. You should watch it. 😆 And yeah we eat mostly river fish but that doesn't mean Tuna isn't available too. All kinds of fish and seafood are dear to the bengalis, but freshwater fish is most preferred.
The eastern side of India in general prefer freshwater fishes. I've lived near Mumbai for 10 years now and I can safely say the west in general prefers seawater fishes in their dishes.
@@dybiosol I think freshwater fishes are preferred because they can be bred in a more hygenic environment. I am from Southern India, and things like special ponds built specifically for breeding prawns (without the influence of pollution) are commonplace here. I mean fishing in the sea is also a trend which is common in the coastal regions of the South, but Aquacultures are gaining massive ground.
17:51 Achara ji West Bengal has a coast line too. And yes Jaby ki is right Bengali's love seafood. They live on fish and rice. Even the Bengalis who have few villages in Uttar Pradesh have made pond and cultivate fish and live on fish and rice. 😁😆 Idk why I laughed.
I am more obsessed with Achara's reaction than Achara herself. First that "Waah" reaction and then this Masterpiece:- 5:09 She is cute. **Note: Jaby is nice too.
There should be some ways for millionaire and billionaire to spend there money... Or what will they do with there money, just passing it generation to generation 😴
Good thing about India is that at many big restaurants, one does not need to tip at all. In fact some restaurants which provide premium Indian experience have strict 'no tipping' policy. So yeah, that solves one dilemma!
In India we have something known as service added tax, you can always ask to remove those charges if you did not like the service. It's not mandatory to tip unlike the states but it's always a good guesture.
Jaby- my mom is kinda cheap thats why she brings to these asian restaurants. Also jaby- I'm content with 5 dollar burrito on my bday, which is the most special day on most ppl life. Lol 😂😂😂
