@@Crazy_Talk96 I mean Ceaser is roman which is what the legion is modeled after. It's a pretty glaring oversight considering that Kaiser is Germanic and not even from the same time period and the title has nothing to do with the Roman empire.

That's a good theory. I think Betty Pearson is actually Cooper's daughter. She went into stasis, suffered memory loss and came out of it not knowing who she was. The new denizens of the vaults give her a new name, she gets married, and therefore has a different first and last name. Maybe a stretch.

I hope we learn they are in Vault 111-and then we get a tour of the Wasteland from Vegas to Boston. But based on the show's general vibe-I expect they are cryo-frozen beneath Vegas under the protection of Mr House - to find out that Cooper's wife was having an affair with Mr House before the Great War

Man I haven’t played fallout 3 in so long but I’d prefer the nicer ones haha but the armor used to be my favorite until I played new vegas, I got the elite riot gear and felt like a powerhouse only to be humbled by Cazadors, deathclaws, and that bloatfly in old world blues.

I think the biggest tell for Season 2 is Coops mention of wanting a ranch in Bakersville, which house vault 12. Vault 12’s door was purposefully faulty tot way the effects of radiation on humans who became ghouls and founded the city of Necropolis:

Re: Where's My Family. They're not in 31. 31 was for Junior Executives. Barb Howard was a Senior Executive. Coop says of Hank McClean, "Your Daddy used to fetch my wife's dry cleaning." That's a Junior Exec running errands for a Senior. Barb was also the only other Vault Tec employee in the Meeting with Bud and the rival businessmen.. The businessmen all got their own vaults. But got three Vaulst all of his own. So Barb certainly got into the vault she wanted to be in, whether it's a vault for Senior Execs or a Vault all her own. Janey is another question. Did Coop hand his daughter over to his ex wife for her own protection? It's possible. We don't know how far he was from the vault he was supposed to have space in. It's also possible he didn't hand Janey over and someone came for her later and kidnapped her. It's also possible that Janey lived and died her whole life, had a family of her own, and then that family was kidnapped. All we know is Coop is looking for his family. No names were mentioned.

Bud Askins is in Vault 31, he is at least on par with Barb Howard, in terms of executive authority. I don't think Askins 'got three vaults all on his own", but his plan was implemented in Vaults 31, 32, 33, by Vault-tec. A vault for Managers... exactly where Barb told Coop she wanted her family placed. Now, she may not be in 31, because they gave us a lot of clues that she might be in vault 31, and twists will be coming. But I don't think it has to do with her level of executive authority.

@@Pernicion Bud's Buds are explicitly junior staff. Barb was on a similar level to Bud. She also said the "vault for managers" that she wanted to get into watched all the other vaults. Vault 31 only has authority over 33 and 32. She's not in there. My thoughts of her having a vault of her own are just a possibilities that could have happened after she and Coop broke up. It wasn't her main goal, but she may have gotten an offer. Or maybe she didn't. I'm just thinking in terms of things they could do where "your princess is in another castle" And in Season 2, Coop finds the vault for Senior Management, but Barb isn't there because after they divorced she got an even better offer than the one she's originally been give. It's a way the story could go. But not a way it has to go. Barb could also have been Ma LeJune's spouse back in Filly. It's possibility but not as likely..

@@jenniferhanses Vault-tec is in the business of making money, why are they giving their vaults away to executives? The reason that Bud got his own vault, is because he AND Barb, conceived of the triad of vaults. You're almost certainly correct, that she isn't in vault 31... precisely because "your princess is in another castle", but I'm quite certain she's meant to be in that vault, as she and Askins designed it so they would be in a "good vault". Something probably happened to keep her and Janey from entering the vault though (possibly Janey's level of radiation sickness, having been exposed to the blasts).

@@Pernicion No. Bud's Buds belong to Bud. It's his thing, not his and Barb's thing. Also, one of the problems with her being in Vault 31 is that based on the records we've seen, there were no married people or families in the vault. All of the people who were unfrozen were single, but even just the storage listing was only people with different last names. There are no mated pairs or potential children in that list. It would not have worked for her and Coop and Janey. Barb was aiming for a good vault, a management vault that monitored the other vaults. And Vault Tec wants to make money. So they have a vault that monitors everyone else's experiments, That would be what they get out of inviting all those other companies in. Bud was in charge of his commonwealth region. But the vault that monitors all other vaults could be elsewhere in the US. I believe Vault Tec headquarters is in DC. So that's where I would think it was. But maybe it's elsewhere. Right now, I believe everyone thinks McClean is headed to Vegas and Mr. House. This does beg the question of where the other Reps might be. And what Mr. House knows.

ncr should still be around based on what tod mentioned. weakened but alive. it seems like they just lost control of the boneyards. good chunk of land but a small part of the ncr. after all ncr controlled all the way from the border of mexico to around a bit more then half of california (never quite clear how much) but legion im pretty sure is dead unless graham or Ulysses came back and took over (which they would not do). even during new vagas it was mentioned multiple times by multiple people that the legion was doomed once cesar died. their was no good leader to replace him and he was the glue holding them whole. so based off the simple fact that he can die in game (wich i think is canon as it dosnt look like they won) or just do to his cancer. the legion probably fell to internal strife and civil war.

its stated by mr house in NV that the legion would last 5 or 10 years after Caesars death before it collapsed. The show takes place 15 years after nv, so I'm guessing the legion has collapsed with caesars death. If I had to guess, Caesars legion split apart and some went to New Arroyo to fit into the same tribal lifestyle and adopting the Chosen One as a new Elder/Caesar

It's for this reason why Moldaver recruited a gang of raiders herself, she doesn't want to endanger anymore of her people or what's left of them, raiders on the other hand are dispensable.

It’s sad Mathew Perry died I would have loved to see him cameo in the show, like as bennys son or father or brother or like his twin brother who wasn’t around when Benny died but came back after hearing of his death and he comes back to find what happened to Benny and who did it, or even if he just popped up for a minute in a random cameo I would of loved to see that too especially since they teased new Vegas for season two. Bethesda still states that the events of New Vegas are still canon. The show will instead canonize one of the 4 endings (most likely Mr House’s ending imo). Oh and there are multiple cities and states within the NCR, not just shady sands. They are probably weakened but still active

We’re definitely going to see more of the NCR if it wasn’t already obvious. Lucy finds the flag in the classroom in Vault 4, their name is above the door of the observatory and Hank making it to New Vegas is confirmation enough for me

Only 2 ways new vegas could have ended.. the courier survived do to helping house live on, or courier lives do to helping yes man, and he lives because of the new cryo pods in the tops.. and they ended up loosing do to death claws, tunnulers and cazadors over running the whole of new vegas.. that is literally the only 2 ways I see this playing out.. and before someone comes at me remember in lonesome road Ulysses says they would take over new vegas in 200 years or even less do to them spreading out so fast

I have a personal theory where the overarching plot of the series is Lucy hunting down her father across the continent, passing through or by locations from previous games. This would help flesh out the world for non gamers and provide a new baseline for any future games that take place after the series. Basically, the TV series’ purpose is to ‘prune’ the timeline so games’ writers don’t have to perform narrative acrobatics to account for all the different possible endings. That said, it would be great to see what the official endings of various locations would be, such as Vault City, Arroyo, The Divide, Jacobstown, New Vegas, Hoover Dam, Big MT, and many others leading up to a final showdown on the East Coast. Meanwhile, Maximus is conflicted about what he has learned in his journey versus what BoS dogma demands. I imagine he’ll eventually overthrow Quintus’ splinter faction with his own and follow Lucy’s trail East.

The Super Duper Mart was a nod to Fallout 3, so I wouldn't put it past Season 2 to give us another Super Duper Mart scene and such. Also, this little easter egg 101097. If you can guess what those numbers mean, I wouldn't put it past the devs to put in another easter egg relating to when something came out in the fallout series

Its one of the disputed release dates of the first game. We don't actually know for sure what the release date was, because back then they didn't do global releases; the game just released when the CDs arrived at the stores, and game devs had nothing to do with that part of the distribution process.

I was surprised they didn't use Caesars Legion in Season One. It is an easy straw man villain to hate at the base yet it can also become a complex expression of the darker side of human nature. Instead I expect they will waive away Caesar's Legion as also being nuked by Vault-Tec. It feels like they do not want to deal with the canon implications of NCR and the Legion in a show themed along the feel of the games as a Vault Dweller raised for Reclamation Day learning that it was at best a jingoistic half truth from folks dead for centuries.

I hope that New Vegas is still going strong and has plenty of power from the generators at the Fort and Hoover Dam. I'd love for it to be independent with Hank trying to become the next Mr. House, making him the big bad of the season at New Vegas. Setting up yet again, a power play for one of the few areas not too affected by the bombs. The Courier, residing in Jacobstown due to not wanting to be too involved in the matters, takes up their Elite Riot Gear, bringing with them on their hip, Maria. And at the end, the Courier arrives as Hank tries to escape, running into the Courier, giving him Benny's line of saying that he's run into an 18 carat stroke of bad luck, and that the game was rigged from the start before shooting and killing Hank.

NCR absorbed the Desert Rangers when they were being pushed back by the Legion I believe. They had their own Ranger faction but the Desert Rangers were basically grandfathered in as Veteran Rangers

The war room map bothers me. There are supposed to be 9ish vaults in the West Virginia/Virginia area but theres almost no pins there. Like the area is just dark except for a few on the edges you could say okay maybe but thats still not the right amount.

I agree! I feel like the vault dwellers would have that ignorant funniness about them! but coopers' character wouldn't be cracking jokes after almost 300 years bounty hunting! searching for his next vial! I get why! it's a tv show but us nerds need authenticity and loyalty to source material! it does feel like the characters don't understand life and death consequences at times but hey its fallout! in the games you can be walking with a fat man out and a raider will attack with a melee weapon! 🤷‍♂
