RU-vid User ummm I don’t think it’s very “classy” to insult a member of the royal family. Also, Mara Willman, I respect your opinion and I have to agree some of those rules are definitely there for a reason but imagine if you were a little boy, it was a cold winter day and you were gonna be outside all day. That would be fine, IF YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO WHERE SHORTS!!!
Willow Norman. The shorts is interesting. My headmaster in primary school wouldn't let the boys wear long trousers until year 6. I used to feel sorry for the boys and we had some bad winters in the 1970s. He was very traditional and after seeing this I wonder if the royals inspired him. 🤔
Many of the rules are necessary and useful (socks, nail polish shades, for example), but what is classy about making little boys wear shorts? Just a habit that has nothing to do with class or elegance, especially in winter, cold weather. Oh, I forgot, they are upper class kids, they are driven from door to door by car. They are not peasants who have to walk to school or kindergarten.
I would really like to see a video on the MALE fashion and etiquette rules of Royals. (I'm quite fascinated by etiquette as a general, but I'm also currently writing a story that involves a Prince...it would be nice to know a bit more about those rarely discussed aspects of royal life. But almost everyone focuses on the woman.)
If I had a little boy I wouldn’t want him to only wear shorts, especially in colder weather. I think you need to be reasonable when it comes to children’s clothes, even when you’re royalty.
I grew up with neighbors that thought they were special and made their son wear shorts in the late 1950s. He used to jump up and down as cold waiting for the bus to school. We thought it was so stupid. Dad embezzled from his workplace and they moved quickly and left town.
They don't stand outside waiting for buses or anything they are nearly always inside or being driven around so shorts is perfectly fine in an English Winter.
Is it weird that I dress according to royal standards already? I wear stockings, wear neutral polish, love to wear gloves if I can, all my dresses are knee length or longer and heels are my favorite, plus I have the habit of using my hand to cover my “cleavage” when I wear a sleeveless dress lol. I’m weird. I know. 😂😂😂
The Royal Family dress smartly...wear smart clothes of high quality..not show off .flashy.type clothes ostentatious clothes... It's not considered a sign of class to wear clothes that advertise your wealth...you know dripping in gold etc... People who do that are only trying to attract attention.to themselves.....and are clearly desperate to try and make people envious of them and their wealth.. Wearing your wealth on yr sleeves is not considered good class...good quality..is the key and some fashion sense yea....not LOUD clothes that scream..."Look at me!"...
I do really fellow royal family rules and my mother told me that jeans and trousers are wear only for every day and my mother told me that business trousers suit and plain jewellery are only used for business and my mother told me that track suit are only used for round house and house watch and my mother told me that trousers suit and pearl jewellery only used for church and expensive clothes and expensive jewellery only used for very special occasions ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Not wearing my beautiful nail polishes would be impossible. And wearing a coat all day long, even when it's hot, is just something I wouldn't do. I'd faint! Lol
The queen does carry things in her handbag such as money for church, lipstick, hanky, dog treats if she is out with the corgis, gift from the grand kids etc.
Heels. There's no way I can wear heels. It's too painful. At the most I can wear low kitten heels or a select few very comfortable pumps in a low height.
PuppyLover101 Rool Hey ❤️ hope everyone has had a lovely week so far!🙈 you’re an amazing human being 😊 be awesome, and don’t forget to smile 💕, if you’re having any hard times with anything, I just wanted to say... you’re powerful, you’re amazing and you can count on me, so keep trying, have a great day. From a small youtuber that wants to hit 600 subs ❤️ 💗🙈
Sounds like they do a lot of this because of the Queen's preferences. Hopefully they update their rules soon here. Seems a little... I don't know, strict? Unnecessary? Frivolous? Controlling?
Thayla May but for me, that rules made them classy and elegant. And more important, royal family's duty are became nation's representation, so they can't wear whatever they will. And the other side, i think other Europan royal don't have such rules, like Danish royal for example, and for me, they just like ordinary rich family, not royal. UK is the best.
The rule about hats is out of date. I don’t think I could wear bland boring colors for finger nail polish, and the panty hose thing? Forget it. Glad I’m not a royal!
wow,,,,, i don't wear them everyday,,, but im not a royal,,, I don't think having Nothing on your legs is anything close to dignified,,, meaning that is Their way to loook ---- Seriously,,,,, when i worked in a high level office job,,,, i wore nylons everyday,,,,, And,, on a date,, always,,, and not wearing them,,,,,,,, nobody's legs are perfect,,, i can understand that rule,,,, i have NOOOO intention of living that life,, i like nature and quiet simple life,,,--- For them,,, totally different
@@JustMe-gs9xi, just STOP with all the commas, it's annoying af. Even if you meant to use periods (ellipses) it is not correct and an irritating little punctuation. Frankly, you could stand to do some serious work on your grasp of English, period.
IMHO YMMV It is okay to have bare legs with jeans or something seriously casual. It is not okay to wear bare legs in a formal situation. It is just tacky. The Royal Family did not invent this rule. So even though there are some who will disagree, I think a woman's legs look better with than without.
Regarding nail polishes, I like to wear all shades, however i'm not a fan of nude shades. i love wearing stocking / thighs. Dresses - I will have a BIG problem with that I prefer wearing pants. Heels no problem, but just not the whole day - soar feet. I hardly wear revealing clothes, so that's no biggie for me.
The no trousers for toddlers rule pisses me off so our children can wear them but theirs can't wow and I feel bad that teenage girls can't wear sharp nail polish in the Royal family
You must do this, you must do that, you're not allowedto do those...etc... what a boring life will meghan have ! Only engagements, meetings , protocols, and always stressed by not making any mistake...She was having such an awesome life before and she gave up for an illusion...Love isn't enough when you don't are allowed anymore to live how you like and to do what you wish or meet your friends whenever you want...Now her life is just a job ...a duty...Time will pass and she will see what royalty is really about..
Soo many rules. It seemed like while Megan's mother was happy, she felt as if she was a little concerned with what her daughter was giving up and how she would have to be devoted to her new mother-in-law.
I think in time Meghan will give it up. She is giving up own person. Don't think she will take too long. I would not, and I'm not a big feminist like Meghan. Good luck, Meghan.
Victoria Shotz , i haven't worn tights in years! They are so uncomfortable to me. My legs are usually pretty tan in the summer. In the winter using a tanning lotion keeps them tan. I'm American and not many women wear tights here anymore.
I think the tights and being forced to wear the coat until you get home. My body temperature is all over the place so that would be a really tough one for me. But if I have that kind of money and prestige I do whatever they tell me to LOL and by the way, Harry definitely grew up into an attractive man! He and Megan make such a cute couple! I wish them all the love and happiness in the world! I know princess Diana would've loved her!
Enjoyed the video...i never wear tights hate them so im not royal material.Princess Eugenia hardley ever wears tights...its no big deal and not a rule so meghans not setting new rules..the york girls real princesses did that ages ago.
Committing to a coat & leaving it on would be the worst for me. I grew up with the stocking rule. My job doesnt allow for excessively long nails or bright finger nail colors. I do cheat & paint my toes bright colours.
Seriously you pronounced it de-ny-r? The way you said it means: a person who denies something, especially someone who refuses to admit the truth of a concept. For stockings it's den-e-eer and it's French. Maybe you should learn some of what the royals have to...like correctly saying a word in the context it's meant.
Well I am really like them like I love to wear tights and I love gloves plus I like descent nail polishes and bright outfits and the last thing I NEVER put off my coat but I really love hats in public
DJ Melody I love hats as well, especially the really big ones I call 'Kentucky Derby' hats...Lol! If you have on a dressy hat and no gloves....something is missing.
I love hats and gloves. I agree with all these rules. The royal family always looks proper and very polished. Society should adopt some of this fashion.
How are you and your family are doing well and safe and well and i do really fellow royal family rules and my mother told me that jeans and trousers are wear only for every day and my mother told me that business trousers suit and plain jewellery are only used for business and my mother told me that track suit are only used for round house and house watch and my mother told me that trousers suit and pearl jewellery only used for church and expensive clothes and expensive jewellery only used for very special occasions ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Megain was accepted, she just didn’t want to be told what to do. She can’t say that she didn’t know anything about it because she was studying the RF for years. O , it’s not a racial thing, it’s herself that wants her own way. Well guess what Megain, you have shown that you are not worthy of being a Royal.
I sweat over small things so I can't do long gloves, stocking (unless cold out) and I love my bright nail polishes so that's a hard one but I will if I can become rich like Royals, lol!
I think that I would have a hard time following almost all the rules.Taking hand bag all the time is not my thing . I feel super uncomfortable. And gloves and coat are only for cold weather , but what if its july and the sun is ready to grill us . Ugh ! Thank God I am not a royal family member !
This is ridiculous, you make it seems like this is some kind of set of rules imposed on royal women, this isn't something they HAVE to do, this is something they CHOOSE to do. The queen doesn't HAVE to wear bright colour, she chooses it in order to be seen. Also, unmarried princesses wear tiaras, it happens in all European royal families. And Diana famously rarely wore gloved to daytime engagements, because she wanted to be able to touch people.
I could not stand having to wear high heels all the time, the thought give me physical Pain. This is how ALL women used to go about their days in years gone by - Goes to show you just how relaxed we have become and in many cases where it has gone to the extreme in sloppiness.
What is with you people and the damned nail polish. News flash! Bright nail polish is still considered to be trashy or immature by most people. So, grow up. So is not wearing tights.
The Queen doesn't need a license but she actually enjoys driving, though the opportunity doesn't present itself much off of her estates. She has been a quite capable driver since her military service in her teens.
