@@centenntrucker8496 some people like myself just enjoy little details like that. They can really help the game’s atmosphere and make it feel that much more real that its not just invisible to you or whatever on the map. Itd be annoying to pinpoint a field that isnt even on your map. Just my opinion 🤙🏻
One of the smaller features, but I think its awsome, is the field and map updates, as you add and remove fields/buildings it updates the map.... The smallest little awsome thing.
Surprised you didnt also include that you can change the work width of sprayers now and it reduces the amount of product used at smaller working widths. Nice when you miss a tiny section when spraying
@@bradtyson I think you misread; I have 105 hours on FS22, I also have 1100+ hours on FS19, 1200+ hours on FS17, about 500 hours on FS15 and I don't know how many on FS 2013 :-D
There's a great feature for loading, did you know that you can set reverse limiter? Just like you can set the cruise control with 1 and 2, you can also set the reverse speed limit. Set the speed with 1 and 2 WHILE you are reversing and you'll go backwards at the set speed ( great for moving loads carefully or for parking precisely).
@@munkymittenshe never covered the fact you can change the revers speed limit. He just said “it will tell you how fast you’ll go backwards” not that you can change it, very helpful with mouse and keyboard
@@munkymittens alright buddy just to make sure I watched the video and now it’s your turn. Like I said he in the video the covered the fact that when you went to reverse it would show you how fast you can go backwards. He never said you can adjust the speed, not once did he say that in the video. The commenter tho did bring up the fact you can change the speed with 1-2. So no he did not bring it up in the video. So, go watch the video.
I have something to add to number 3. You can limit your speed backwards. So if you go backwards and push 1 to set it to 5 mph for example, you only go 5mph and not faster. It is pretty handy if your are backing a trailer up. Greetings from Germany
I know this is two years later, but thank you for number 10!!! I have all these bushes in my farm and they're driving me crazy. I resorted to painting the ground to get rid of them but that was just hit or miss. I can't wait to try this out later.
For the auto bail drop, I only use that on square bails and flat fields. For hilly areas auto bail drop often allows the bail to roll off somewhere and then it's another chore to go hunting bails. Instead I drop manually against the fall of the field - that way the bail stays put.. The mulcher is good for removing stumps. Yeah you can hit delete and remove trees or use the mulcher to remove them, but if you chainsaws them and use a woodchipper, you can actually profit from the trees that you want gone. This is something I frequently do around my fields as it gives room for placable items around my fields. No room for some storage item - chop the trees and sell the woodchips.. What's actually amazing is bailing.. you only need 90% to finish the contract and if you mow the grass from the fringe of the field, you can add that to your collection.. the extra bails can give you up to 3x the profit you should make on the contract itself..
Gathering that grass in from the fringe of the field is a bit difficult. I recommend getting a forwarder for that option. Leasing is the way to go unless you only want to exclusively hunt down baling missions between crop growth. There are currently two types of missions I'm interested in: Baling missions involving grass and silage bales, or harvesting missions on large fields, where the extra profit is actually worthwhile. Mostly I go cut down trees to sell at a profit early when starting a map.
Great game, only thing that's really got to me is that the add on packs from fs19 aren't in the fa22 base game. That's a big no no for me. That shouldn't be happening
@@adiboo8142 yeah, I mean. I just don't understand, it really makes 0 sense. They just forget about great vehicles and equipment from fs19, not Include them and then sell a season pass with more supposed dlc. Not good
@@chickennuggie4738 well it just came out. We are still the final testers, they will fix it in the upcoming month, they just needed to see how the performance was from all of us playing it to understand what needs to be fixed and smoothed over
You can also change the reverse cruise control speed, and it will become a reverse speed limiter. Verry handy to reverse a trailer with a stearing front axcel.
if you reverse and lower the cruisecontrol speed it sets your backing up speed to whatever it is, so if you hold 1 while reversing on PC to lower cruise control speed while reversing you could in theory go down to 1 KPH reversing and it will never exeed it. Same thing to increase it again. Helps with backing up.
You can remove any tree with the forestry mulchers. Work at emlittle bit & it will fell them, then it’s just a matter of chewing em up. Or use the big driven mulcher & it makes em disappear all together. The lazy man’s forestry!
more useful than the "reverse speed" display is that you can use your cruise control settings to set what speed reversing is limited to. So if you're backing up a trailer you can set it to 5mph instead of max speed. Simply start reversing and hold the cruise control lower key to reduce speed. That way you can floor the gas and only go 5 mph or whatever you set from 1 to max mph. Its way easier than tapping the back key or trying to keep steady speed on a throttle pedal.
I have one for you I know this video is old but I just started playing. I found out if you use the landscaping tool to plant Meadowgrass, you can then mow it and collect it and sell it. It's free money. You can just keep doing it over and over again
I'm personally happy that I skipped fs19. I just play once in a while therefore fs17 did the job up to today. And the Step from fs17 to 22 is just insane.
Something a few don't know about. If you buy the See & Spray for your Sprayer and you want to fertilize something, the sprayers only activate if you are on a field and a spot that isn't fertilized yet.
I cant wait to play it. Im get the game today. Late buy it due moving. Now we are living on a farm full time. They cut down trees all time here. Sounds just like it dose on the game now.
I just recently bought fs 22 and a feature I found unexpectedly is that whatever you set your cruise control to is what your AI will drive at. I gave one worker the landini tractor and he was doing the job slow so I tried giving him my bigger Case IH tractor and he started going 2mph instead of the 7 in the landini and I thought it was the weirdest thing until I realized I last left my cruise control on 2mph in the Case so he wouldn't go above that.
if u leave the mulcher up to remove the trees u can then "paint" over the bushes with grass from construction menu, alternatively just do what farmer cop did and then just paint over the field texture with grass
The number at the bottom of your speedo is the cruise control speed, you can adjust it where you want, and the tractor will go that speed. Same for reverse, if you put it in reverse, adjust the speed, and it will reverse at that speed.
There are multiple major things in 22 that they completely did a way better job on that other games but I think the more simple things like being able to rename buildings are such a huge help. I mean I get it that there are people that play this game all around the world and not all of them speak English but there are guys out there that make maps that they usually named stuff in their own language. So to be able to jump onto the map and change it from like German or polish words and actually named them what they are is incredibly useful. Especially for Missions. Like Transportation missions are so difficult when you are being told your mission information in full on German. I mean I'm German but I can't understand it that well.
@@blakerwalknot to assume anything about OP but that’s probably pretty common. I know some people who are from other countries but have been in the US for years to the point where they forget their native tongue. I don’t think when they say they’re “German” that they’re currently living in Germany and have done their whole lives.
@@Fetidaf It's rather uncommon here in Germany but quite common for Americans to self-identify as German, even if they don't speak the language, understand the cultures and history of Germany etc. Entirely losing comprehension in your first language is highly unlikely. I mean, a person from anywhere with any background can be German in any sense of the word (citizenship, cultural norms, language use, etc.) - it should be seen as an inclusive identity. But there is a certain oddity with folks from the US claiming identities of places with which they have no tangible connection.
@@blakerwalk no one said anything about entirely losing comprehension. And the reason for that “oddity” is pretty obvious. America is largely populated by immigrants from a somewhat short period of time and immigrants tend to not forget everything about themselves when they come over. For instance; my grandparents were born in Germany and of course their parents were German. That changed how they would’ve been brought up compared to someone who was Irish or Russian or Chinese or whatever else. Nowadays that doesn’t really matter so much but it’s still a small part of my family’s identity. That’s why we are where we are and why many of us do what we do… we don’t have an ancestral connection to America but we have one to Europe as do many others around me. If I spoke to a person from Spain then their upbringing would likely be vastly different from mine.
You wrote "they forget their native tongue", which I interpret to mean a loss of language comprehension. Aside from that strange line of argument, any rational person would not disagree with what you've written. The oddity lies in the degree to which (even distant) ancestry is canonised. Many Europeans are sceptical of ancestry as the basis of identity construction, parhaps in part due to the long history of racism here, whilst analogues in north america are just now being openly presented to the general public. I don't disagree with you essentially. I'm suggesting that there is much more nuance to identity construction than many americans are willing and able to admit.
I just wish they would add a way to park a trailer outside the store, and whatever you buy goes automatically into the trailer instead of having to load myself.
I'm quite familiar with neat little features on FS22. But always something new to learn. Four things from this video: I didn't pay attention to the speedometer while reversing, so I didn't know it showed the max reverse speed. Haven't played with the slope tool, so that's pretty cool once I get into developing my property. Also haven't purchased any bunkers, but snapping them together is a cool feature I didn't know. And haven't purchased any production buildings on the map yet, so didn't know you could sell them afterwards if you want, neat. Couple small bonus things for you: You mentioned the sound of the trees falling... How about the sound of the tipper trailers, especially when lowering, the sound detail is great! And for small buses, you can use a mower over them and they disappear as well, which of course does not effect the ground state.
One thing about the reverse speedometer that I found out- if you are going backwards and go to change your cruise control speed, you can actually set how fast you want to reverse, if 14mph is too fast for you, you can make it 9. Found this out on accident!
Instead of using the mulcher to remove bushes use the paint tool!!! It’s amazing on clearing bushes just paint some grass and it won’t mess up the land at all and makes clearing trees out so so much easier
They need a feature that makes your guy turn faster , and not like he's just had neck surgery. I have to do this in and out trick with the thumb sticks and R2 to make it faster.
With number 3 i think the speed shown on the lower section is the cruise setting speed, set it at 20mph and hit cruise and it will hold that speed. I could be wrong though.
Farmer Cop one thing I have also noticed about going in reverse aside from the speed change you can lower your speed when going in reverse with the number one key and bring it back up with the number to key just like how you can alter the speed when going forward
Might want to start with the fact that a forestry mulcher creates fields, and can even plough the field in one go (if you lower the rake like thing on top).
you can wipe bushes with painting grass over them, not the ground texture but the plants. will have to try the mulcher on trees they are a pain in places
WHYYYY if you can mulch the bushes don’t the mowers drop them yet. Wish grasslands would slowly populate with big weeds and bushes when they aren’t regularly mown and each time it’s mowed less grow back until the grass is well maintained again.
@@schmid1.079 shrubs and bushes that stem from noxious weeds certainly do get mown, slashed rather but same same. Either way it would be nice if grass grew big weeds and shrubs etc over time if not maintained. The more often you mow the cleaner the grass, less mowing more weeds and shrubs.
Arh man.. wish I would have known about the mulcher and shroppery. I had to really balance a garage into a tiny area, so it wouldn't ruin working on the field next to it
Yeah, the game looks great, they keep adding features and improving the visuals with every new release but, they still cant seem to fix the annoying little things that bug me and make me not play the game, not to mention the steering (with keyboard) i found that some vehicles steer slower or faster than others which makes it very hard to get used to. I havent checked yet if rain is falling through roofs of buildings but i hope it doesnt.
What do you mean highlight? I'm on console if that makes a difference..usually I just pull up to the icon and then it comes up with to push the left pad in to start filling. And for the life of me I can not get that to pop up
