I love finnish mentality so much ! In particular I love sleep with windows open in the night especially in winter when the temperature outdoor is lesser then 0 Celsius degree! I love nature so much and make camping inside the forest or near to some lake or in some mountain.
When I was a baby (here in Finland), there was a period when my parents couldn't put me to sleep outdoors, because there was a nuclear disaster in Chernobyl. It was highly recommended that instead babies should sleep inside.
Greetings from the states. I can't wait until this whole virus ordeal is over with so i can visit Finland and maybe move here. These are good tips. Kiitos for the high quality video. Well-put together.
Sauna is the best, I specially like it so much. Last holidays in Finland I used to do sauna almost everyday, so when I came back to my country sauna was one of the things I missed more :D
Heh! SILENCEis comfortable after we understand your culture. SAUNA is wonderfull but i will never go with anyone else, only my husband, i am shy naked XD. PERSONAL SPACE, made me argue how virus got space at Finland. BEING MORE CASUAL is something very nice here too because it is less stressing. Thank you! I learnt lots of finnish habits at your channel before visiting Finland!
So Aleksi, In the face of the Corona Virus, was it necessary for the Finish government to tell the people to distant themselves socially or socially isolate themselves? Or did they just say "carry on as normal, you are already doing a fine job"?
Ahhh the silence! I’ll never forget when a Finnish friend let me crash on his couch during a visit. The next morning, we sat and ate breakfast in near complete silence. As a loud mouth american I was caught off guard 😅
Every Finnish relative that I have in Ohio used to have a sauna either in their basement or in a separate little building in the back so I'm grew up with that aspect of the culture. Well, pretty much all aspects of the culture.
Awesome! I love Sauna. And the silence is one of the first things I learnt when I first arrived. And I drink milk a lot now compared to when I first arrived in Finland. 😃
To be honest I feel like I have a lot of similar personality traits with the Finns. I am Italian, but very often feel like i have absolutely nothing to say, even to family or friends. Like, I really don’t know what to talk about. But it feels embarassing here, people assume you are angry or distracted, and you are avoiding conversation.
Here in Brazil we often wear Havaianas flip flops at home. I think they’re much better than socks. Inside home I suppose it’s never too cold in Finland, right? If you prefer to wear something inside home (after to take off your shoes) I believe they are a great option, and they are available in Europe too.
I love your shirt! I want it! Where did you get it? I’m a high school teacher in California and I would love to wear that to school, when we reopen of course. :)
I can't believe how early I am ITS 2:30 HERE IN HONG KONG I HAVE ONLINE CLASSES AT 9:00 WHY TF AM I STILL AWAKE cuz all my fav youtubers always upload at 2 AM rip-
Hey Aleksi, if I was to move to Finland at 20 years of age from a country in the eu, when I get my citizenship there would it be compulsory to serve in the army? Thanks for all the helpful videos, they're great 👍👍
I am thinking if I am a Finnish soul stucked in a different nationality's body. Hehehe. Our country is quite extroverted and me being an introvert, is like really difficult. I must go there.
Even in Helsinki you can find beautiful nature, sometimes in harmony with development, sometimes right next to it in a way you don't even notice you're only 100 meters from houses. I can think if beautiful spots in Tammisalo and Malmi just when you mention the word "nature." On a completely separate note, the results of your gym routine are becoming obvious, or your t-shirts are shrinking. Onnea!
Well in finland too extroverts are more popular than introverts there has been a study about that too that mayby finland isint soo diffirent from other country's after all. Because here on finland at school or at work its seen as a positive thing if you are an extrovert and have a lot of friends. I'm an introvert and haven't been really popular here but i don't care lol. And i'm a finn
First comment is mine! 🤩 I was waiting for this video! I wanted to show how much Finland is ideal for me. Also, I have dropped you a message on Instagram (priyameravigliosa). Please do check. Thank you for another Finntastic video! 😇🙏🏼
Hahahahahaha Rules 1-9: Never smile, never be a second late, and follow these 100,000,000 social rules to the exact millimetre. Rule 10: Finns don't like to be too formal...😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 I laughed so hard, I dropped my cigar and burnt my Johnson
