@@RichMitch It’s a little on the “pretty” side, and now that I think about it, I prefer it in spring more than summer. But it’s miles better than most warm weather freshies on the market. I certainly wouldn’t put it above Geranium PM though. Also interesting is how many compliments from women I get on it. Like Ambre Nuit, I get compliments almost every time I wear it. Though I’m starting to think they compliment it because it’s something they want to wear themselves, ha!
Great video Richard. Dune is very enjoyable in South East Asia and in Maldives respective weathers. I can witness it! Thank you for a phenomenal video again.
Nothing wrong with a little top ten list when it’s from , a person who knows their onions , great list Rich and would you believe I finally pulled the trigger on Naomi Goodsir Corpus Equus , and who knew ,the shop I got it from online actually is In Dublin city center here in Ireland day trips a plenty I reckon cheers Rich 👍🙏✌️
Love Escale en Indonesie. I sometimes crave it the way a thirsty man craves a drink: I was seized with a desire for it the other day in a way that surprised me. Now you have me wanting to try the Guerlain Herba Fresca. Great list, man.
Thanks man. Do you have the Haiti cologne? I _think_ I prefer that one but I've had it for a lot longer and think I may just know it better, if that makes sense
@@Sliceisnice850 I’m with you on Escale en Indonesie! It’s perfection. Escale en Haiti is also really nice and just might replace CDG Vettiveru as my favorite fresh vetiver.
@@johngillen3519 I enjoyed the Haiti one, too, but found it less distinctive than the other. A certain generic freshness pervaded, but I only had a bit dabbed on from a vial, in fairness to the stuff.
Wearing Selva do Brazil today, so I'm glad to see Original Vetiver. 😄 Very similar DNA. Still haven't tried D&G's Masculine though. But Pour Homme is nostalgia in a bottle for me. I even tried Perfume Parlour's version of the new formulation and it's better than the real thing. Terrible shame what happened to that fragrance. Now that Shiseido cut ties, I wonder if they'll have another go at another flanker? Otherwise, once my bottle is empty, I might track down Nazareno Gabrielli's Pour Homme.
D&G Pour Homme (original)…. Peerless; even today, and perhaps *especially* today. I wore the wheels off this one around ‘03 - ‘04. The version I’m enjoying now is the final Made In Italy formula that happens to be under the P&G label. This 2006 (or 2005) bottle was still made in Italy, right before its manufacture shifted elsewhere. I enjoy this formulation very much, it’s the same robust scent, but maybe just a touch lighter than what I remember from my old Euroitalia bottle. I wouldn’t mind scoring a late 90’s or very early 2000s bottle, though. This is probably the zenith of designer Italian perfumery from my time (I’m 45 now.) Well, aside (and at least to me, very personally) from vintage Moschino Uomo from 1998 or so (not the Pour Homme from 1990.) At any rate, excellent list! Geranium Pour Monsieur looks like especially interesting.
🐝 ! Fascinating! I do see what you mean; as many women wear rich thick florals in the summer evening specifically (for this same effect). I’m fascinated to try my 🐝 sample outside in the garden in the evening (as directed), maybe eating some fresh tomatoes.
Syooperb choices mate, cannot believe I have never got my snizzle on roadster, love me some vintage d&g PH, can’t believe the prices now, think i paid £45 for my 125ml bottle in debenhams circa 2008
I've just recently got an Eau de Rochas modern version. God, after the opening it just evaporates. They have probably butchered it with the modern formulation. I also get an off putting cheap plastic base smell to it, yikes.
