@@GrandSil90 Not really since in Android you are allowed to root since it's actually just giving admin access and is a part of the os whereas in apple devs have to look for exploits to jailbreak.
I'm a 51 year old dinosaur and this tech crap really pisses me off, so dont feel too bad! Fixing the printer and this phone settings stuff is Millennial job security for all the young bloods I know! :)
@@redocious8741 considering you're commenting on everyone that has said something about Apple to Android u must be an Apple lover that's jealous of all the ppl that have switched over lol. U will make the switch someday....
@@UncleBoobs How much is that? Here in South Africa we don't have any of the cool plans here. $60 for a s10+ with 350mb a month on a 2 year contract );
Yes transferring those videos are out of this world I mean I know that’s why there is RU-vid.... h also the double screen oh my yessss well that did come out and most all android behave it .... sorry these do not compare very basic
@@TechWithBrett Thanks for the informative video. I'm. Using an S10 plus and don't seem to have the split screen option, I just get the pop up window option. How do I get the split screen selection. Thanks in advance 🙌🏻

Definitely going to use interaction control with my mom when she asks to see a picture and starts swiping haha. No idea these existed, such an informative video!
Awesome, just switched phones from iPhone7 to Galaxy 10, applying some of these cool features now. Can't wait to get going with the camera. Thanks for the video link.
Rememder the bag phone?..how about the old rotary phone and pay phones .and party line phones!!! That will take you back to the 1950's...i was there...
Same. Chose the s10 for it. They make A LOT f money from the buds, but I like the convenience of wired headphones when I'm not at home or exercising. Like how people sometimes have a string on their glasses.
For the 1st tip, what I do is just press and hold onto the screen. That way it hides all of the extra stuff on the lock screen and u can stay on the page for a while.
I just randomly played your video when showed on my list and trust I really like the detailing, the presentation and your knowledge. Just subscribed you. Looking for more features on S10. Thank you.
Thank you for this video! I just bought this phone and it's much more advanced than I'm used to, so I appreciate the tips and also learning how to do those advanced tricks! :D
this is awesome. This pin window option I turned on immediately. I cant tell you how many times my daughter went into youtube then got out of it and home my home screen is all messed up.
@@ElektraN1 There's a sidebar on the right side of the screen, I believe it's enabled by default, just swipe from the edge of the screen to pull it out. When it's slid out there's a gear icon near the bottom of the screen, tap that to bring up the options to add new functionality to the sidebar, select "Smart Select". Now just go back and go to the Smart Select section of the side bar and choose the "Animations/GIF" button as shown in the video.
Amazing video Brett, admiring the video quality, audio quality and was a great learning experience for finding out more of what my S10 can do. So many cool things I haven't tried yet. Keep up the great work.
omg... I have my S10 for a year now, and I have no idea that there are these hidden features available at the tip of my fingers! Thank you for this tutorial. I learned a lot!
Note 8 doesn't do this but install "Videowall" from app store. For 1.99 you get video WITH sound option. My puppy with sweet song on my home screen. LUV LUV LUV. Thanks for getting me to look around!
I've already had my s10 for a couple weeks, and figured most of these things out, but watched this anyway. I feel like every day I figure out something new on my phone, and it just makes it a more fun experience than I've ever had with any other phone.
So glad I stayed with samsung all these years. Just got the s10 and love learning all that I can do with it. And you are a good teacher. Too many of these instructional videos waste time jabbering. You get right to the point and give examples. For all that I subscribed!
We gotta wait for Samsung update. I guess they wanted to tweak stuff so it's been delayed 🤬 Until then only option is 3rd party app. You Tube has videos on camera LED notification. Some are sketchy though, I'm still uninstalling everyone I find, if u find a good one that don't glitch let me know!
Thanks for all the tips. I'm getting used to the gesture controls but I really like not having that bar at the bottom of my screen. Also prevents the bar being burned into the screen into the future. It doesn't happen easily but I'm happy to know that it won't happen
You i had my s10e for 1week and there's nothing new that i learned 🤣 he left the best one out the samsung pay when you pull up your home screen or the finger print sensor
Most of these I've been doing on my Galaxy S8+ for years, like the gif recording and editing feature as an example. And thanks to the Pie update, my S8+ can do all of these.. so not just limited to S10, heads up, you can do these on a 2 year old phone.
I love the navigation gestures, especially switching to any previous app. You click on the home invisible button and slide it to the right to go to any previous app rather than double clicking the 'recent actions' bar to switch to one previous app. Exactly like the switching through apps on the Iphone.
Almost all of this stuff is on the S8 as well... I adjust the flashlight brightness all of the time and with the new system update it can do the floating camera button. The palm to take a selfie trick was always there. It also does the app menu in recently used by tapping the icon, lets you select multiple items on the home screen, and lets you adjust the settings of your always on display. It also has the pin apps feature, the navigation bar options, and it's been able to make gifs from the edge panel since I first got the phone-- that isn't a new feature, although the gif editing software is. Not to be that person about the new phone because it definitely has its benefits (better a processing speed, better cameras, etc.) and I definitely want one, but if you're only buying it for these "cool new" features, then I wouldn't exactly say that it's worth it since you can get generally the same phone for a much less expensive price by purchasing the S8 or the S9. To be fair, though, I didn't even know about a few of these features on the S8 until watching this video and testing them, so there's that. Definitely appreciate the navigation bar tip because I missed being able to hide it after the system update. Thank you for the video.
Has "smart stay" been removed from the S10? This feature keeps the screen on while you're looking at it, and it works even on the lock screen. So you can increase the screen timeout in the lock screen (in fact, indefinitely), as long as you're looking at it.

I'm really impressed by the standard wallpapers. It's great how the main flaw of the phone, being the front camera vs the display is easily rememedied by fun wallpapers. Just a nice touch.
