When it comes to GameCube games that are still so much fun to play, all the Resident Evil games, Godzilla Destroy All Monster Melee, Zelda Twilight Princess, The Simpsons Road Rage and Hit and Run, GUN, Conflict Desert Storm, Serious Sam Next Encounter, WWE Wrestlemaina 19 and the Day of Reckoning series, Nightfire, and Eternal Darkness are all still a blast to play.
I got all these games and then some. The GameCube library has aged better than any other console I can think of. It’s my top 3 console with the snes and switch
I love playing Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros Melee and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
Cute pfp you have. Also I love all those games, too. I remember putting in hours in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Smash Bros Melee ( which I'm going to play on my channel one day.
I AM NOW MILDLY UPSET AT THE FACT YOU SAID ALL THE SUBJECTS OF THE VIDEO AND NOW I SHALL INFORM U OF IT(PRETEND MY VOICE IS MR.TOURGE FROM BORDERLANDS)
The GameCube is such a criminally underrated system! The games on they were great people just complain because there was a lack of FPS games where you can go around shooting each other in the head.
I have 8 out of 10 from this list, i still have all of my GameCube games from back then and still occasionally play them for the nostalgia; the GameCube was my favorite system growing up. I love my Switch but there's nothing wrong with playing the classics from time to time
Chances are, we won't ever again get a chance to play the "Radiant" Fure Emblem games ever again since they bombed so heavily in Japan... Sad days those.
One game that I still come back to is Pokemon Coliseum & XD: Gale of Darkness. These darker atmospheric Pokémon games are still amazing, and deserve reboots.
I really am grateful Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance was on the list. I wish more people could play it. Honestly I would be extremely satisfied if this was my entire gamecube selection
@@theelementalphoenix5549 To be fair, a primary reason they get so upset is because Smash keeps acting like the only Fire Emblem characters that exist are the ones that are in some way associated with swords as their signature weapons. If Smash ventured out into other main Fire Emblem characters such as Hector, Micaiah, Sothe, Sigurd, Azura, Lilina or Ephraim, people likely would not be quite *as* bothered. True, some of these characters can technically *use* a sword as an option in their games, but swords are likely not the first option you associate them with. Heck, you could even expand into just the mere “fan favorites” category and pull characters such as Soren, Tharja, Tiki, Myrrh, Fae, Minerva, Jaffar, Lyon, Ranulf, Lethe, etc.
I feel Double Dash is the best Mario Kart game of them all. Having two drivers who can get exclusive items from the item boxes adds a layer of strategy that the other racing games don't have. Even without that feature, I loved that game so much that I was beating the recorded race times.
Yo RE4 is beyond lit, I think it’s free on Xbox ultimate or PS plus, it’s also like $10 for older systems, also play the hardest difficulty off the rip, you’ll dislike getting killed a bit often but you unlock a ton upon completion
In Wind waker I never had a problem with the infamous Triforce Fetch Quest. Which spot where you would find a map to a Triforce Shard, there are jars with huge amounts of rupees! And you can actually and easily get both wallet upgrades before you even get the third Pearl
I like Super Smash Bros Melee because it has 14 newcomer characters like Bowser, Dr. Mario, Falco, Ganondorf, Ice Climbers, Marth, Mewtwo, Mr. Game & Watch, Peach, Pichu, Roy, Young Link and Zelda/Sheik.
@@RowBlanka Super Smash Bros Ultimate have 23 newcomer characters like Banjo & Kazooie, Byleth, Chrom, Daisy, Dark Samus, Hero, Incineroar, Inkling, Isabelle, Joker, Kazuya, Ken, King K. Rool, Min Min, Piranha Plant, Pyra/Mythra, Richter, Ridley, Sephiroth, Simon, Sora, Steve and Terry.
Mariokart fact check: Powersliding has ALWAYS enabled a mini-turbo boost, even back to the original SNES game (where it was undocumented, but existed nonetheless). The N64 game just made it an official documented technique.
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Heroes would also make great mentions. For SA2 it is a great GameCube choice for Sonic fans who either don't have or heard about the Sega Dreamcast and Heroes features awesome teamwork gameplay and lots of best jams of the Sonic series coming from Seaside Hill, Casino Park and Final Fortress. The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is also a great mention as well for gamers not too much of a huge fan of its Wii Counterpart's Motion Controls, Eternal Darkness is another mention as well being Nintendo 1st Party's answer to Resident Evil.
@@Nelkhael1 I love both Adventure 2 Battle and Adventure DX. But Adventure 2 was probably the best 3D Sonic game. After that it was pretty steady downward spiral starting with Sonic Heroes.
There are 4 Mario Party games for Nintendo GameCube like Mario Party 4 in 2002, Mario Party 5 in 2003, Mario Party 6 in 2004 and Mario Party 7 in 2005.
I'd you ask me, I think Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door is possibly one of the best Nintendo games of all time and the best RPG to ever exist. The Characters, their Development, their World, the Action, Music, Story, Progression, challenging Secrets, and more! This game will ALWAYS be top tier and the staple for what Paper Mario is supposed to be. The bar has not been reached yet.
My favorites are: Metroid Prime Super Smash Bros Melee Mario Kart Double Dash Resident Evil 0 Resident Evil 4 Soul Caliber 2 Super Mario Sunshine F-Zero GX (even if the story mode is insanely difficult) Custom Robo 2 wasn't too bad Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (may not be the best game out there, but I enjoyed it) Luigi's Mansion True Crime: Streets of LA (I know it was on other consoles, but I loved it on GC) Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour Mario Power Tennis Thats about all I can think of right now.
I would love it if The Next Mario Kart game has Double Dash's mechanics, even in a separate mode. It would be nice to play as other characters like Rosalina and Kamek in A Double Kart scenario.
Rogue Squadron: Rogue Leader being off this list is a big whiff. Holds up incredibly well, I regularly go back to it as my star wars fighter game of choice
I like Mario Kart: Double Dash!! because it has 11 newcomer characters like Baby Luigi, Baby Mario, Birdo, Bowser Jr., Daisy, Diddy Kong, King Boo, Paratroopa, Petey Piranha, Toadette and Waluigi.
the gamecube games I wish get Switch ports or least sequels.: Doshin the Giant, F-Zero GX, Kirby Air Ride and Billy Hatcher. Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn needs to be remade as a collection for the Switch and using the same engine as Three Houses.
Thank goodness I picked all of these games up as a kid minus F-Zero (Never played), PM2 (own PM1) and only ever borrowed ZWW but wished I owned a copy. Spent 8 years playing it off and on.
I played Super Smash Bros Melee, Luigi's Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine when I was a kid. I only played Mario Kart: Double Dash and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door occasionally through a friend's house and renting it respectively. I played the WiiU remake of Wind Waker and plan to get Metroid Prime Remastered sometime this summer. While I played the Gamecube more through with Mario in them than any other Nintendo franchise, I think it's safe to say that the console played a big part in my childhood.
My favorite GameCube games: Super Smash Bros Melee Mario Kart Double Dash Sonic Heroes Super Mario Sunshine Mario Power Tennis The Wind Waker Wario World
Resident Evil 4 is missing from this list and no question it should be on it. Personal favorite not in this list is Skies of Arcadia Legends. Just a fabulous game!
Played every one of these except Wind Waker. These are all great titles, many of them being my GameCube faves alongside Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2, Billy Hatcher, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Riders, Metal Gear Solid: the Twin Snakes, WarioWare Mega Microgames, Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 2 (my favorite Prime game even though the first is an excellent pick for this list), Star Fox Assault, and more!!
I Absolutely Love playing Viewtiful Joe and Viewtiful Joe 2, Okami, Mega Man Battle Network and Network Transmission, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart: Double Dash, F-Zero GX, Super Mario Sunshine, Star Fox Assault, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, Resident Evil (2002) Remake and Resident Evil 0, Capcom vs SNK 2 EO: Millionaire Fighting 2001, P.N. 03, Resident Evil Code: Veronica X, Mega Man X: Command Mission, Mega Man (Classic) Anniversary Collection, Resident Evil 4, Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble and Mega Man X Collection.
Super Smash Bros Melee Burnout 2 Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour Mario Party 4 Metroid Prime Tales of Symphonia Luigi's Mansion Pikmin 2 Kirby Air Ride
honestly this list is actually perfectly solid! I would have loved to have seen Sonic adventure 2 battle for Sonic adventure DX on here or sonic May a collection but those are really essentially ports of games that were on previous Sega consoles so I see why they're not there. there were some fun Mario sports games on there. Mario golf toadstool tour would have been amazing choice. while I did enjoy Mario power tennis, I guess because I rented it from Hollywood video and beat it in shorter than the 5 days I was renting it for, I felt a little disappointed, but looking back at it I realized that it's a really fun multiplayer experience with a lot of great tennis courts to play on. Mario Superstar baseball would have also been a great choice. also Super Mario Strikers would have been a great choice as well. I didn't play the original Super Mario Strikers as I started with Mario striker's charged on wii, but I've heard great things about the original Super Mario Strikers on gamecube. I never played any of the animal crossing games but I'm pretty sure somebody would say that animal crossing belongs in the list.
Awesome list! Animal Crossing Chibi Robo Skies of Arcadia Beyond Good and Evil Eternal Darkness Tales of Symphonia Pokemon Colleseum Zelda Four Swords Adventures Zelda Master Quest Soul Calibur 2 Pac Man World 2 Monkeyball 2 all tons of fun
Others: -Star Wars Rogue Leader -Star Wars Rebel Strike -Pokémon Coliseum -Pac-Man World 2 -Peter Jackson's King Kong The Official Game of the Movie -Star Fox Assault
Here are all the gamecube games that I have: Super Mario Sunshine (with the 3D All-Stars collection) Pikmin 2 (Wii) Metriod Prime (Bought it with the Prime Trilogy on the Wii U virtual Console, but never finished it) Mario Power Tennis (Wii) Resident Evil 4 (Switch) Zelda Wind Waker (Wii U)
resident evil 4 definitely should have been mentioned. it has numerous ports and there's a remake coming because the game is so damn good and obviously fun.
currently pay monky ball 2 /double dash /sun shine /melee/pinkmin 1/res remake and 4 /metroid prime and dej jam vendetta need to get more gc exclusives tho
proud to have every game on that list! also: Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem Chibi-Robo Custom Robo Battalion Wars Wave Race: Blue Storm Pokemon Colosseum Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness Skies of Arcadia Legends P.N.03 Animal Crossing Tales of Symphonia Super Mario Strikers Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour Kirby Air Ride Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Most fun multiplayer games were definitely Melee and Kirby's Air Ride. I could spend hours playing both with good friends, especially Air Ride's city mode. My cousin and I would play hide and seek (trying not to screen peek) while doing Kirby roleplay. Our favorite rides were the green scooters :) I would love more Kirby games like that.
While I did enjoy The Wind Waker on the GameCube, I also enjoyed Twilight Princess, Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life and Another Wonderful Life, and Pokemon Channel on the GameCube as well.
Zelda Wind Waker was a more Cartoony looking game, and Twilight Princess was a darker, Tim Burton like game. I won't say which Zelda Title I prefer, but Zelda on The Gamecube was perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
