Tiny Toon Aventures Buster Busts Loose had a similar mode called "Chrildren" which removed bosses, an entire level and added passwords. I didn't consider it "trolling" but rather a legitimate mode for younger players.
The Unknown Psycho for me any easy mode isn't considered trolling, we play games to have fun, it's not a crime to play a game on an easier difficulty if you're enjoying it
I don't see what's wrong with playing games on easy? As long as you bought the game developers shouldn't care and games are supposed to be for fun not for something really serious if you didn't want to play it seriously. As long as you enjoy yourself though

Couldn't give less fuck about if someone judges me for playing on easy, I'm playing to have fun, if I'll feel like playing on higher difficulty or if any trophy requires to do so then I'll do it. But well to think about it I usually play on normal difficulty.
I usually do normal difficulties first to enjoy the story and progress. Some cases, the story changes when clearing normal first. Then in rare cases, there are extra or new contents in higher difficulties or unlock other stuff. The most trending one now lately is a forced difficulty which I'm still fine too.

in the original Wolfenstien 3D released around 1992 had the same settings of difficulty. There was also a quit option where it was like Hit N for more carnage, Hit Y to be weenie.
I'll tell you this. I've been playing games on easy mode when I can ever since I could even remember. Even if they do make fun of me, I'll take it with pride.

A German Indiegame called "Mondschein" allows an easy mode which is called "Lutscher" - "Sucker" as far as the developress is concerned. Not only that, the game calls you even a Sucker choosing this mode
Well there are Down syndromes, autisms, special needs, babys, and kids with disabilities and most of them go for easy mode............. Is that kind of racist for when trolling these kids when they choose easy mode?
you realize that there are people who are new to these games (like metal gear). they go for easy mode for a reason that is getting to know about the franchises( including how the game goes like) and putting these trolls might make them triggered (I'm not saying i'm triggered i'm saying that they need to apologize to the people who are new to their games)
well that's because some of the trolls like the chicken hat are a little too op and seeing a player with one of those in multiplayer might make you think that person is a hacker because of that chicken hat cheat
I've actually been trolled/mocked in MGS:V Phantom Pain. There's an option to activate the chicken head, and I accidentally activated it. But I'm not easy to be spotted. In the game, I was actually a pretty good assassin. Kills and fulton recovery every good soldiers.
There was a game that my brother troll me, it was Far Cry 3, I always plays on easy mode cuz im a newbie... but... my brother change the easy mode to the Hard mode without noticing, i was confused why it was hard to kill... but i get the hang of it... when the games end my brother told me he swithed the easy to hard mode... he was grounded for 2 days... cuz i cried... and lied that he hit me... Calling someone a baby to their face is directly insulting them, it's almost the opposite of trolling them. It's bizarre how that one verb has replaced so many others in our ever-diminishing vocabulary, even when they aren't particularly applicable. I really enjoyed Wolfenstein: the New Order though. Awesome game. Shocking ending.
How to make fun of people playing easy? Make them select easy option, but it's hardcore. Imagine FPS game, you play on hard, it takes shots to kill a Gunner. On easy, it takes more than 50 shots (including headshots) to kill a guy.
You forgot to mention that Pretty Princess mode on DVS also had pink hearts floating around and the enemies died in a flurry or rainbows instead of blood.

You should have put fnaf world in there cause if you beat the game on easy mode, the last piece of dialogue you see is Scott Cawthon making fun of you playing easy mode.
If you want another troll from an hard game, there is Touhou 6. Why, because if you choose easy mode, the fifth boss just tells you that you are weak... Then, you characters goes home... (Without finishing the adventure... At level 5 out of 6...)
Metal Slug 6 the easy mode gives you a heavy machine gun with infinite ammo, but bosses are as hard as normal/hard mode and in easy they remove the final mission (not actually a troll but you get the point)
The only reason why I play to mostly easy mode is due to my disabilities and it's frustrating in the higher levels, even WITH practice and such. That's mostly why I stay out of any games that troll you for being easy (which has a lot of unfortunate implications for the disability community).
Valkyrie Profile hard mode is the only mode. Best dungeons, items, get all characters, customizable since they all start at level 1, and so on. That said, I did play Easy mode once before I knew all this. I should really go back to that sometime to revisit those Dungeons unavailable in Hard. Just cuz I mostly forgot what they were.
Yeah i got trollt from borderlands 2 i killed the Bunker in My Story and he dropt a legendary shield. I thout "OH YES A SHAM" but it was Not a sham it was a transformer as a worlddrop -_-
