@@dheeraj009.1 oh trust me Ithere are alot of who will go. Me and my frd has his exam going on when the movie got released, we decide to go after his exams are over, but this movie was only for week in my near theatres so we never made it
JHUND was awesome and probably a risky move by Amitabh Bachchan ji & Nagraj Manjule... The problem with this film was Bachchan wasn't there to promote the film by himself, sometimes feels like these legendary actors who just want to hang in there for entire shoot to get over, and their job is done. AB no doubt, was incredible in that role but he could have done a lot more to make the film do better. I may be asking for too much, but we now live in an era where an artist can do anything to make his film earn some bucks at the BO!!
Failure lies in Hindi speaking audience. Malayalam cinema appreciates Mohanlall and Mammooty and provides the respect worthy of their legends. Hind audoencei let down cinema legend
1.Bhavesh Joshi and Mard ko dard nai hota were the great examples of experimental cinema. 2.Hrithik Roshan delivered his finest performance in "Guzaarish"; I couldn't envision any other actor portraying the role with such compelling intensity. 3. "Jagga Jasoos" is a profoundly intricate and exquisite film that deserves greater appreciation. 4. "Sonchiriya" and "Byomkesh Bakshi" exemplify how to achieve exceptional production design on a modest budget, complemented by outstanding storylines and performances.
Jagga Jasoos was the most visually stunning movie ever made in Indian Cinema. Cinematography, Usix & Colour Grading peaked here Every single frame of this flim looks so beautiful like painting
Huge thanks for giving much needed shoutouts to Jagga, MKDNH, Bhavesh Joshi and Detective Byomkesh Bakshi. I love these movies so badlyyy, and their failure affected me personally
My most favourite movie is bhavesh Joshi. I always search this movie's name in underrated movies but no youtuber talks on such great master piece neither in comments I see this movie's name but your are the first one to mention it. I am so Happy
Jhund has been directed by one of the most talented and liked marathi directors, Nagraj Manjule. His finest work include fandry (pls watch especially the climax) , naal and ofc sairat. Proud Marathi viewer. ❤❤❤❤
Zero was a terrible movie. SRK was good in his role , but the writing to the directing of the film was really poor. Just because its music was good and SRK can act well , doesn’t make the movie a good movie.
Bro atleast it was different from the mainstream, and the other actors also acted welll, and story wass gooodddddd, the vfx🤌🏼🤌🏼was of no competition and and and everyone has a diff taste😊, but i think zero deserved more appreciation from the audience
Sushant flims choice at this age was a hint for future audience if this man alive just imagine the upcoming flims of him was just bomb we really lost a new Srk of new generation 😭😭😭
Well Swades is my favorite movie of all time just because of SRK, his performance was brilliant and in my opinion Swades is best patriotic movie of all time and I didn't know that Jhund was flopped it was literally one of the best movie of that year i think it's our responsibility to make sure that this kind movie make some profit so can we can experience better cinema in future rather than just watching poor storyline Massy movies
Totally agree with your opinion. Just a suggestion, it can also include AN ACTION HERO . A film without a lead actress in today's Bollywood is something we rarely see, that means makers were confident enough about the content
Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, Sonchiriya, Jhund, Bhavesh Joshi, are the films we actually needed to become record breaking in our cinema, Sadly we have this masterpiece movies still nobody knows the exist 💔
Underrated gem! Exceptional storytelling, captivating performances, and a unique perspective that unfortunately went unnoticed by many. Flopping doesn't diminish its brilliance.
As a cricket fan I would say that 83 deserves to be a super hit. The amount of emotions & goosebumps it gave was enormous. & It's best dole ever played by ranveer singh 9:43
S W A D E S is a perfect specimen that Indian audience wants their fav star to play the same clichéd character, no matter how repetitive he becomes. It was also the film which showed the audience's true colors of rejecting a film outright, and it has continued till this day, except today we have social media to vent our frustration on !
I recently saw Swades and its definitely a wonderful movie. Even Guzaarish which I had seen it at the time of its release only was also fabulous. Rest of the movies go to my bucket list unfortunately.
Just few days ago every one said that 12th fail is very nice movie but no one appreciated that people should go to cinima to make hit this type of flim
The point is that before a film is released, the audience has literally no idea about what the movie even is. If they will go or not to see the movie heavily depends on the marketing done by the film producers and the stars in the film. That's it. Nothing else.
The three of Mine: Third: Swades Second: Sonchiriya First: Detective Byomkesh Bakshy I Love how SRK & SSR pull the movies❤❤❤ Please mention Dedh Ishqiya in next part
Mard ko... and Bhavesh.. both were so realistically, grounded, real in approach...we are so used to heroism being larger than life that a hero rising from your neighborhood just isn't palatable to the audience..sad to see this
I loved jhund being a low class football fan when I know ki koi football based movie lag rhi hai to mai gya tha ise dekhne theatre me apne recharge ke paise se😅 and it was really great experience
Satyajit Ray once said we had a fairly backwards audience Guzaarish was a movie way ahead of its time and the audience were not ready for a serious and mature topic like Guzaarish had. Everyone was into typical hindi movie with entertainment. It's one of the best movies in bollywood, even after such a famous cast the film didn't get much recognition The movie is even available in YT but no one watches it
Byomkesh Bakshi deserved to be a Blockbuster, it was perfect in every aspect one could ask! Yet it failed! The Indian audience just didn't have brains enough to watch this masterpiece 😢 It was a perfect detective movie with just the right the amount of thrill needed ❤❤ Also Jagga Jaasoos! It was good although it could have been better but overall it 2as a decent movie and should have been hit at least! 😕
Byomkesh bakshi, sonchiraiya, jagga jasoos, mard ko dard nhi hota and bhavesh joshi, these movies are just perfect. Pure cinema with stories. Best movies of Indian cinema. But sadly, we failed as audience.
Zero really was a great film. I enjoyed this film more than KGF Chapter 1 which was released on the same day, and everyone praised KGF which wasn't even close to Zero. Edit : I also loved Jhund 😅
Guzaarish, in terms of beauty, cinematography, and acting brilliance is way ahead than any other classic films of that time. Hrithik Roshan was fantastic. His acting hit hard, he lived the character of Ethan. HRITHIK ROSHAN is truly a Gem.
Each of the movie was Bang on !!! Except zero. My top 3 suggestions of the mentioned movies, that everyone should watch would be 1. Guzarish 2. Jagga Jasoos 3. Byomkesh Bakshi
Your list is just spot on dude. Even I watched Guzaarish 5 times back then. And Swades is by far my favourite hindi movie of all time irrespective of this list.
*imo ra one deserved better audience cause that was one of the movie which was way to ahead of its time. the movie set a benchmark for vfx in india and it's crazy to think that it was made in 2012 when vfx wasn't a thing in India. they had an orginal story with an actual impactful villian and the bgm and music were too good. love how people recognize the efforts of srk and red chillies now today for it!*
@@dheeraj009.1 @girish180 I strongly disagree to this. If you ignore the Shahdom and yes ofc his vision and hard work. Also the concept was also way ahead of that time. But, the second half is so poorly written. I don't remember correctly but I think its was writters interview and he told that the movie was initially made for a specific group of audience but to cover the huge budget of the movie they had to change the story for the masses. Also I think it have a pour ending and how such a powerful villain cant find a normal kid. and many more points. But ofc if the story is re written it will make records. Also VFX can make you enjoy the movie. But only strong VFX cant make you like a movie.
Jhund was Epic, by far a remarkable movie is have seen in last 2 years before 12th fail came. Zero was bad , man I went with family and sat for approx 3 hours. Swadesh is Gold , I am SHOCKED to know Byomkesh Bakshi is a flop- I loved it and watched it in the cinema ❤
I was shocked when i came to know that swades was (considered) flop. First time when i saw this film i was mesmerized by the point of views it present about Indian Society. Like from mohan's pov people of India don't want to change. But , from geeta's pov she can't stop trying even if people don't want to change. Wrong means wrong foe her. And the way mohan discovers himself and Indian soc. in the journey was just so good. I saw this film during lockdown i just randomly found this film and it was soo good, i still feel sad that it was (considered) a flop. My thought process also matches with mohan . But when i saw the film it gave me a new perspective of seeing the soc. It is so subtle still so mesmerizing film.
I think Jagga Jassos failed because at last the movie got overstretched. There were no dialogues and scenes are coming through on and on... I watched it in the theatre. It would be really an outstanding film if 20-30min got chopped.
Guzaarish was flopped because it was too dark for normal audience....most of people wants to go to theatre for more colourful movies and guzaarish was 80% black.. I don't remember any black movie who got super hit....if anyone knows please reply back
Jagga jasoos to me was like classic Disney movies, like Cinderella, tangled, snow white, etc where a lot of dialogues (a major chunk) is musical and composed rhythms with beautiful rhymings Add that too my passion for music and story telling... It was something new and absolutely fantabolous...
I wish we all had appreciated Sushant's movies at the right time then maybe he hadn't lost him but we had to accept the reality and now we have to live with this regret
I personally agree with every choice of yours in this list . And for those who think he didn't mention tumbbad, lootera or any other movies this is the series vedio they have created a series of videos on this topic and go check them out also And ya i personally think that certain things plays a major role in success 1 post and pre marketing 2 hype between peoples 3 genuine reviews by critics 4 piracy downloads people prefer it rather than buying tickets After all there is buisness also involved in Bollywood
That scene in Guzaarish where the water drops are dropping on Hrithik's head and then the background music plays - " Bas itni si tumse guzaarish hai, Yeh jo baarish hai ...." Still chills my heart...❤ One of my favourite film of Hrithik.
