Why does everyone seem to forget about the existence of Ferland Mendy when discussing the sale of Reguilon and how Real will replace Marcelo. It was a stupid and shortsighted piece of business to sign Mendy when Reguilon was coming through but they did it, so he is the successor to Marcelo's place but no one ever thinks of him.
Because mendy barely gets a start for real lately so people forget he’s there should have sold Marcelo and kept Reguilon in my opinion and used one of them to help cover right back as needed and rotate
Just finished watching "all or nothing spurs" documentary. When danny rose thought AC milan would sign him. Was laughing so hard. Why would milan sign a below average player.
Rose kinda brought it upon himself in the all or nothing documentary. If he took a different more mature approach to talking to his manager and taking things on board then he might not be in the situation he is in now
You simply can not go over to a manager like Mourinho and talk with such an inflated ego, get an honest and polite reply from the manager, get upset start to rage and flame your own team mates presuming you're better than them and your opinion is more correct than the manager's. I'd understand if a player like Benzema, Kane, Messi would contest a coach's decision like that since they're integral parts of their squads in and out... but what did Dany Rose have to show for his words? not much to be honest.. He just made it clear that he had a god complex and no trust or respect for his team mates, and this is certainly not the type of player Mourinho wants in his squad. On top of it acted childish, forced a move to newcastle where he also flopped, in fact the match he played for the U23 was arguably a terrible one from him as well... Indeed he has no one but himself to blame for it, would be fun to see him swallow a bit of his ego and sign for a championship club
@Peter S. oh i didn't say he should, i said would be fun to see him do so out of having no other choice (considering his inflated ego). Don't get me wrong i don't with the guy any bad, but truth is he is flopping at Newcastle and eveen at the game he did for the U23 team, if the performances keep going that way i don't see which mid table club will want to sign him
@@sonheung-min7201 his performance massively dropped since walker left but he thought he was still one of the best lb in world he thought he could walk into inter but had to settle for newcastle and flopped there,, his attitude also stinks watch the amazon documentary, i liked him but it's defo time he leaves
from a north London boy like myself , I don't know how him and dier blagged careers at Tottenham let alone England. one of the most overrated players ive ever seen
Di Maria wasn’t forced out, the year before he refused to renew he’s contract and asked to be transferred, therefore Madrid had to sign a new player to replace him
Rose? What are you thinking? Let's think what rose did shall we? 1. Criticised our transfers because he didn't know who they were despite the fact he'd played against two of them that year and he himself being a complete unknown when he signed 2. Said he hoped to play up north again one day hinting at a move to one of the big northern clubs 3. Said he'd run down his contract and wouldn't accept a move because he was on big money before complaining that the club wouldn't sell him 4. Called his teammates shit to his manager.
I'm a Spurs fan and I think I speak for all of us when I say Danny Rose isnt a Spurs hero, he had a couple really good seasons but has been average before and awful since. He has no one else to blame but himself with his awful attitude as well. Speaking to the Sun saying we have no ambition and all of that. He may have been right but, you keep that in the dressing room.
Hahahahahah VdB at #4. Stopped watching after that. Probably the most contrived example, especially considering where you’ve placed Shearer. Lmao. VdB has barely been at United a minute. Hilarious to call that public humiliation when the midfield is stacked. He’s gonna work his way into the team, don’t worry.
Not a humiliation, I agree. But a player of Van de Beeks calibre, comfortably more talented than the likes of Fred and McTominay, not staring every week must be pretty frustrating for him. Especially given how terrible united have been this season, and the fact he had interest from teams like Real Madrid. For a young ambitious player from that Ajax team, a bit-part role in a subpar united side would be pretty humiliating
Then again, Kimpempe & Varane were world class vs Portugal! Keeping a clean sheet vs a front 4 of CR7, João Félix, Diogo Jota & B. Silva! Sure, not every game is vs world class players but you can also see why he hasn't been capped
What about Joe Hart? Ousted from the squad as soon as Peps reign began. He was a fan favourite and was completely embarrassed! Not to mention his replacement in Claudio Bravo, whose performance was just awful!
Can someone explain why Laporte never gets called up to the French National Team. It’s obvious that injuries prevent him now but even before I’ve always wondered why he’s never been capped.
Think about the timeline. He’s only recently become better than varane and umtiti which is deschamps’ favoured pair for euro 16 and WC 18 and there are loads of other french CBs like kimpembe and sarr to name a few that have also come through And have remained healthy for a call up
10. David Luiz 9. Peter Schmeichel 8. Iker Casillas 7. Sergio Reguilón 6. Alan Shearer 5. Ángel Di María 4. Donny Van De Beek 3. Aymeric Laporte 2. John Stones 1. Danny Rose
Rose has had a very good spurs career, loyal and been a great servant however he is not a great player. His so called humiliation was just his character, unprofessionalism and poor attitude being aired and Jose standing his ground.
Come on the donny one is a bit of a stretch. Only people who have problems are press trying to scrutinise ollie and utd. Donny has said he understands he needs to be incorporated slowly and is just enjoying being in a team with your quality players
@@jesselees5880 no they said hes costing them points and either way I dint replacing a substitute left back is something that gives a manager a headache. Like my comment please
@@Hurder_ofbuffalo of course you’d worry about getting back up for a position as taxing as left back. If you have shit players coming off the bench your team’s performance declines. In reguilon they would’ve had the best back up lb in the world
I am gonne say strait away shearer was a great player but to be fair he was even at his best not even 1/5 Of the player gullit was. Again not saying gullit was right but at least he had the name and ability to be aloud to say it.
Danny Rose shouldn't be on this list at all really, let alone at number 1. He declined massively and deserved to be left out of the squad, and instead of working hard to get back into the first team, he bitched and moaned even though he was being out performed in his position by Tanganga, who isn't a LB. He also argued that a lack of games was affecting his performances, but he was so poor after a run of games at Newcastle that he was even dropped there. He's just a bad player now.
I understand Reguillon is a good player. But what is he doing in a list of Great Players. It is his 3rd season in First teams alongside Alan Shearer FFS.
