I pitty da foo who buys the "Smart" bed. The bed frame is HUGE & serves as a barrier for accessing your bedside or to fit your linen. Cheap & awkwardly located speakers you gotta hope doesn't malfunction like the unergonomic massage fixture built to fit it's Asian market; hence the extendable laptop table at which you can only kneel or sit cross-legged. All of which obstructs the draw & cabinet storage you gotta climb around to access because you'll no longer be needing a bedside table. And of course; pointless use of excessive padding because you have a massive open-plan bedroom with lots of space to fill.

Can someone please explain what's the point of a bed that folds up out of the way. Isn't the floor space that's occupied by the bed useless anyway? What would someone put in that floor space when the bed was up? Wouldn't you need to find a place to put that thing when you wanted to put the bed down? I just don't understand how this is saving any space unless you never slept.

Burbank - google image "murphy beds". Traditional beds are really only good for sleeping & reclining in & there's not much functional space you can use above it so it consumes ceiling space as well. Even the space either side of the bed can be functionally unusable except as a bedside access. If you can fold it up out of the way, especially concealing it into the wall cavity, you can use the floor space for exercise, living room extension, table settings for office & dinning room facilities; it's an innovative renovation idea whether you're living a micro-apartment or a minimalist, open plan penthouse.

You can buy the smart bed on ebay for a total of 2000 dollars depending on the model with a safe included. One model even has a massage chair

I know I have a physical disability and several chronic illnesses that bed would make my life sooo much better imagine being able to actually do stuff while bed bound

"Smart Bed" is not a good bed for disability. Things to consider: It's extremely low to the ground & you're literally boxed in. You have to climb over the bed to get into it cuz there's no bedside in its default arrangement which also makes it difficult to fit your linen. You have to climb around its frame to access storage & you have to lift the whole mattress & its frame to access storage beneath. The extendable laptop table is awkwardly positioned beside the head at which you may have to kneel or sit cross-legged to use (denoting it's Asian market). The speakers are proprietary & likely poor quality with its control panel out of sight & out of reach. Is the massage fixture actually comfortable & ergonomic and how often would you use it to justify its consumption of space, addition of price & the warranty hassles if the massage feature dies?

MGTorque MGTorque I sleep on mattresses on the floor because I crawl around the house low to the ground is a good thing I can sit up and move around but can’t make it more than about 5 feet from where I start I frequent climb on to things and they have bed positioners for the laptop issue I currently don’t use them because the fall off to the front or side but with this bed it would be a problem. I use airplane headphones my dad gave me sound quality isn’t a issue for me. About The linen issue a care worker changed my sheets for me once a week. The lounger with massage even if it breaks it’s still a different spot to sit in easy reach and if it doesn’t that’s a super big plus. Having storage shelves for my things that actually look nice by my side instead of bins would be amazing and a way to charge my I pad so I always have my voice on and near by is amazing . All in all For my specific problems and ways of coping it seems like a good bed for general disabilities it seems like a disaster.
